This is much easier than what we had to do in the beginning of this cartridge release.

that will be great! if you see my SLR build, its kinda like that, but it will be 3500$ I imagine. I am also going to show off some mid frame designs in the near future, like the SFAR ruger in 8.6, we are almost ready to announce!

Finished my 8.6 build three weeks ago and it might be my new favorite rifle. The can I ordered is in paperwork jail, so I’m sure I’m only going to like it more when it comes in. But it was easily my most expensive build to date. Not including the optic o spent around $2k just in parts. Aero stripped upper and lower, Faxon 12” barrel, SLR handguard, Radian BCG and charging handle, Madison 3lb single stage trigger, Geissele H2 with their tube and braided spring, Magpul grip with a SOPMOD, and a Cherry Bomb on the end. I tried something new this time for glass, went with an Arken Optixs 1x8-24 LPVO and am loving it. I’d even go so dark as to say I like it better than the Strike Eagles I have. I just can’t wait for my Porq Chop to come in.

@@EagleRun23 Oh no, I haven’t gone down the “reloading your own ammo” rabbit hole yet. For loadout carries I have some of Gorilla’s 342 grain rounds and some of Aiken’s 300 grain “Maker Rex” ammo, but for the most part I have run Fort Scott’s 285 grain ammo. It’s the closest thing I’ve found to “ball ammo” for the 8.6, and it’s also the most readily available. But so far all I’ve done is take it to the range, sight in the optic, tune it, etc.

I bought a Bear Creek 300blk upper a couple years ago and it was not a good experience. There were some large sharp chunks of metal stuck in the gas port and the gas tube was bent in such a way that made it smack and have heavy friction with the gas key. When I noticed it Initially I kind of figured 'get what you pay for' and shrugged it off since I had already planned on replacing the barrel, but then I realized how out of spec the bolt and extractor were; it could not go into battery or extract a round. I cant remember perfectly but I want to say there were also problems with the gas rings and firing pin. I had to replace the gas tube, barrel, and whole bolt carrier group. I think it was like 250 or so when I got it and in the end the only usable part was the barrel nut, hand guard, charging handle, and upper receiver. Considering the cost of all the other parts I bought, I should have just gotten a sugar weasel, I only saved 100 or so and I'm still using the trigger from a cheap lower parts kit, lol. BCA customer service never replied to me, all I could do was leave a negative review on their website. It was a couple years ago, so maybe things have changed over there, but I'm not willing to trust them with my hard earned money. I've learned to just spend a little more money for the right tool the first time.
I'm also of the opinion that if someone can afford to shoot 8.6blk in a semi auto platform then they probably don't need a budget bin upper. I love subs through my 8.6blk bolt action, but my pockets aren't deep enough to shoot this caliber semi auto.
