I don't even hunt, and I want a couple of those Savages. I really liked the straight pull rifle from a few episodes back. I've used your sight-in method with a bore laser in my basement. Went to the range and was on paper the first shot. Now, if I would have remembered to thread lock my scope screws I would have been centered in no time...lol.
I’ve had 2 Ruger Mark II Model 77’s in .22 Hornet. Ive got 3 sons & Dad promised them a Deer rifle, revolver, semi-auto, shotgun & 1 hunting/camp knife & I’ve lost lot’s of guns!
Finally! I have had this rifle in 270 Winchester and love it! So much that I bought another last year in 300 win mag and literally sighted that rifle in with 5 shots. 1 at 25 yards, 1 at 50 yards, and a 3 shot group at 100 yards (1/2 moa) with 200 grain eldx going 2892 (avg). Also took a mule deer with it that fall. Love the high country series. It’s an excellent “out of the box” fit for any shooter. Barrel is super accurate. Your length of pull can be adjusted with a trip to Lowe’s or Home depot and get longer butt stock spacer screws. I love this rifle series. It is a bit heavy but a solid shooter with results.
I know this may be expensive but I would love to see a ammo test where you see the accuracy of a whole box of ammo. 20 rounds total! Call it a Box Accuracy Test
To really get repeatable but accurate results, that's where I'd listen to what Henry does from 9 Hole Reviews. He'll do nine 9 shot groups, then get the average from the nine groups and that's what the rifle with that ammo is truly capable of. This also where you'll see some impressive accuracy from experienced hand loaders vs those shooting factory ammunition.
Your videos are top notch. Some blokes shoot and never show the target. Waste of time. Some people flash the cartridge box so fast you can't tell what ammo they're shooting. You're the best !
Adam, the height of your scope depends on several factors. First you have a long neck as do I . I use.medim rings for 40 mm Scopes . I have to go to high rings for 50 mm and up. The last rings I bought were Burris Z rings. Nice looking groups .
I have no neck. It comes with its own problems of fitment of the cheek to the stock vs the eye being in the right place to see the scope. As the scopes get bigger, my problems grow. I used some refrigeration line foam (a pool noodle would work too) and elastic from the crafts store to outfit a cheek rise for my Savage 110 Hunter with heavy barrel in 223/5.56. That is my newest coyote gun. It shoots silly small groups and you cannot miss.
My wife has a 6.5 CM savage 110, not sure what trim it is but it is a wintery camo. It shoots everything good but the federal premium terminal accent is an absolute tack driver in it.
Greetings from Australia...mate, it took 'til 4:30 before you told us what this rifle was chambered for...was getting a bit anxious by then! Seriously though, thanks for your efforts with all these vids...quite a commitment to push one out each day, and your garage channel must add even more pressure. Cheers then mate,
Want to say first that i really like what you do here on your channel! I like the way you present yourself and the products you're testing too. You do both with abstract honesty. But, i do have a bone to pick with you and I doubt seriously that I'm the first one to say something so you've likey addressed it already. Be honest even with the tree huggers. We do not practice catch and release in hunting. The rifle you are testing is to kill game not to catch it! Let's man up to the point that we kill deer , elk, bear......and whatever. The only thing I ever caught with a gun is a snake that I pinned down with a rifle butt so i could remove its head! If you just can't stomach the word kill then at least "take" an animal or "harvest" it if you must but the truth is that when we hunt we kill the animal we pursue. Again i thank you for all you do to support our habits!
Whooteee can you explain in a video how you do your 10 yard sight in are you looking through the bore and the scope and marking each? Are you just shooting for 2 inches high? What's the process
Very nice rifle. I am very pleased with the 110 Storm in 7mm Rem Mag. I was planning to get the High Country but the Storm is very similar for a decent amount less.
After my middle & youngest took their “deer rifle”, both my beloved .22 Hornets I got a H&R (85’made), Mod 158 in .22 Hornet & the oldest has it now & my grandson uses it now.
Before my oldest got my single shot Christmas came & the wife totally surprised me w/a Savage Mod 25 in .22 Hornet! Yep, she’s a great woman! So my oldest has the H&R.
Thanks brother I really enjoy watching you sight in and group these rifles. The savage 110 is a venerable contender to any out of the box bolt action!!
I have one of these rifles in 7mm Rem Mag (which includes a huge artillery-style brake). The name “High Country” is a bit misleading as this is a heavy rifle with a thick barrel. I got mine to do some long-range target shooting. So far it has proven to be highly accurate with factory loads, and I’m curious to see what it does at longer ranges with aerodynamic bullets in the 168-175 grain range.
sight-in at 30-35 ft=10yds, scope sees upper dot at the height of scope center above bore center line, usually 2-2 1/2 in, most ring set-ups. Think line of sight thru scope is parallel to line of bullet travel, apart by scope height. Shooting at 100 yd target, for most high velocity rounds, the point of aim(scope) will be 2-2 1/2 in above the point of impact, then adjust up/sideways to hit bullseye on next round, repeat till it's on target. I do this inside my garage with laser bore sight(cheap one), go to range and finish refining zero. IF THIS PROVES DIFFICULT, CHECK YOUR RAIL SCREWS, SCOPE SCREWS, USE A TORQUE SCREW DRIVER AND SPECS, LASTLY CHECK YOUR ACTION SCREWS FOR CORRECT TORQUE. I have fouled this up every way, so I know what's wrong, the only other common thing is using reloads where they are not as uniform as you think they are. Factory loads are great for this. Your zero will change for every different weight round you shoot. I learned all this the hard way, reloading. Best of good shooting to everyone.
Again good video. I see you went for the 308 again. If you could only pick one. Would you pick the 308 or the 6.5PRC ? For catching Deer and Elk out 350 - 400 yards? Cheers
That is the huge advantage of the 110 Accu Stock system. The spacers and cheek risers come in the box with the rifle, unlike with Ruger Gen 2, which you have to buy after market.
Beautiful rifle and a nice shooter too especially once you got use to the lower scope. I have held that rifle and she’s even heavier than my Long Range Hunter but manageable. If my LRH in 300 WSM wasn’t on sale for $565 down from $900 I might have went with this one or a Tikka T3x in 300 WSM.
I have this in 6.5 prc. Shoots the factory 147 eldm 5 shots all touching. I reload the 147 with staball hd and out to 1000 it feels like cheating. I load the 130 grain cx with 4831sc for hunting.
Lol, I literally have the opposite shirt on today. Where yours is green, mine is camo and where yours is camo. Mine is green. I'm a Savage fan boy. They're the Chevy 350 small block of the rifle world
Great video and outstanding accuracy. I just picked up a HC in 6.5 Creedmoor. I see all these videos of guys unboxing new rifles and doing accuracy testing which is great. But is nobody breaking in barrels? Or are you just taking them out and shooting them? Is breaking in a barrel by shooting a shot or 2 or 3, cleaning and repeating that a thing in the past?
Just picked up a Savage 110 Predator in 243. Love it! Just started to sight it in and have only reached it out to 300 yards. Very accurate and very sweet so far. Adjusted the comb and pull to fit and the Savage accutriggers are very nice! Highly recommend! If I had any complaints is the bolt action is a bit sticky. Hope it will smooth out with more use.
I like the barrel and action, but the stock is not selling it for me. I'd rather have a stock that's fully adjustable without adding or taking out spacers and such. The McMillan style stock is great for that as well as the Boyd's At-One stock. Just turn some dials, adjust it on the fly and it's set to go, no screw drivers or nothing needed.
I had a savage 110c in the early 70s it was a fantastic accurate rifle in 243 I later traded it for a Browning bar in 270 , I like the bar but have kicked myself over and over for ever parting with the savage 110 the most accurate gun I ever owned .
This is without a doubt, the best rifle I own. My model in 30-06 is such a tack driver. The only problem I had was from the factory, the trigger weight was set as light as it could go, and the trigger had issues. I set it to 3 lbs. and haven’t had anymore issues with it. I can go anymore and hunt “almost” anything with this rifle.
Brother that Savage is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!! I've gotta say Adam, if your first shot is two feet off you have a nak for the right amount of clicks to just drop the next boolot right in the bullseye 🎯 😄👍👍 Awesome shoot'n my friend!
A few years ago I cut a tendon in my thumb and had surgery to get it fixed. I can definitely say that with 1 thumb I felt like half a human being. You never know how much you need your thumb until it doesn't work. Hope you heal up soon!
I like your milk jug test & clay test better than some of your others. In the milk jugs, why not use wood stakes or toothbrushes inside the jugs to simulate bone a n d other things?

G.K. USA. Never sell a a gun that you like in order to buy a gun that you desire. Keep the old and buy the new. My mistakes were to buy a Nylon 66 instead of a Savage-Anshutz. My dad would have helped me buy the latter .22. I should have purchased both. The Anshutze was 125- 150. This premiere rifle sky-rockeded in price shortly. The cool looking Nylon 66 was Too light and could not be as accurate as I desired. After it was n o longer manufactured, its price sky-rocketed. Later, I purchased a Colt Python. I did not care for the grips, nor the short cylinder that wouldn't accept 180 grain bullets. I should have cleaned and oiled the beautiful revolver and packed it away. Instead, I sold it. Big mistake! A close friend and fellow hunter, bought a used Rem. 742 with a Realist scope. His deer hunting was 50-50 woods and field. I sghted his rifle in and achieved 1"groups of 2- 3 shot strings. Then he shot several 3 shot groups of 1" at 100 yards. The ammo was what I used- Federal Premium 165gr. Sierra boattails. I advised him to not change anything. Several years later, he bought his ailing brother's Browning BAR 30- 06. Wonderful! In several years, his son will be hunting with one of the two rifles. Then he told me that his wife told him that he could not own more than one firearm. Therefore, he had to sell the Rem.742 30- 06 that produced 1:groups. I pleaded with him to not sell that gun. I offered to hide it in my house. He said that she would demand the $200 that paid for and would sell it for. Just as I was considering buying his rifle and adding it to my .30 cal. collection, he sold the Rem. I cried. Two years later, he ruined his Browning by packing it Wet( it rained that day)into his rifle case and leaving that way for a year. We both cried. Several years later, he and his wife divorced due to her Bi-polar condition. Tom quit hunting due to heart disease and passed 10 years later.
When you introduce a new rifle please include caliber at the same time. The suspense kills me.
Let me highly recommend all Savage firearms. They are accurate and make the shooter look like a movie star! 😂
Love 'em 🎯
I love my savage impulse in kiu verde
I have 2. One I had to put a new barrel on it after savage refused to deal with it. The other is a laser beam.
I have two .22s and extraction sucks. Don't have any centerfires but .22s are shit. Accurate but poor extraction.
So you are a salesman for Savage, bill?
I don't even hunt, and I want a couple of those Savages. I really liked the straight pull rifle from a few episodes back.
I've used your sight-in method with a bore laser in my basement. Went to the range and was on paper the first shot. Now, if I would have remembered to thread lock my scope screws I would have been centered in no time...lol.

@@eggbert191 oh yeah! 300PRC would be awesome! 👍🏻😃 it’s competitively priced and imo has a ton of features.

It's well worth the money
I know this may be expensive but I would love to see a ammo test where you see the accuracy of a whole box of ammo. 20 rounds total! Call it a Box Accuracy Test

Might have me switching from the Ruger American. Is this rifle, in this camo, available in 350 Legend?
This one is not in 350 legend, but many others
Are all Savage 110 about this accurate ? 🤔
Have you picked up the new Ruger gen 2 predator with 22 inch barrel. Waiting for your review of that rifle.
I have not
I hate the fluting though it bothers me so much i can't
Who tee, were havin a heat wave down south😂😂😂. Stay cool brother!
Super hot
If it's so hot, why are you wearing a Who Tee Hoody with long sleeves?
It is a fishing shirt made for hot weather. Keeps the sun and bugs off me
308 ! What other caliber is there.
