The 2nd method for fixing audio does work, but doing that takes away the ability to output component signal, so the 1st method is the best.
that last method worked best for me after i was using the second one for a while, stopped working after i added a new internal ssd which was a weird after effect. thanks a lot 👍

the beta driver never worked, but the extreme driver 2 worked, so thanks. So the only way audio works if its captured through desktop?
It's been awhile, but audio should work like any other capture card. I just use the output to desktop method since if I'm streaming, my headphones are plugged into my desktop and not into the TV/monitor where the Switch is connected so I wouldn't be able to hear game audio without the adjustment.

i have a live gamer portable 2 plus and i updated it with the drivers on the website, i didn't use it much but it worked. but after getting a new pc the audio just sounds cursed. i don't know how to explain it, it sounds like a really bad microphone is picking up the audio from the other side of the room (which btw is not the case, the mic is off) and i haven't been able to fix it whatsoever. it's barely used too so no idea what the issue is. maybe i need certain drivers or to update it again. i also used the avermedia software, not obs
and another thing is, i bought it to use it without my PC, but that feature just didn't work for some reason. it always just gave me an error and there was an option in the software that i think i was supposed to turn off but every time i turned it off it turned itself back on, I didn't use the micro SD cards that they specified either so that may have caused an issue. i need to get back to troubleshooting this thing cuz i really wanna use it or at least sell it in a good condition and get some of my money back, it was NOT cheap :p
It looks like that one's still pretty new, so you probably just need the drivers for your new computer

So you are telling me, by using a different device's driver, audio works?
Yeah, it looks like they stopped supporting the CV710, so you need a driver from a device they still support
