Well you hit the nail on the head, because I'm here trying to figure out if it supports mobile users instead of requiring a PC. Kinda annoying everything requires a computer to hook up to.
Hey you said that if we used the Avermedia Live Extreme 3 in OBS wed be capped at 1080p 60fps for recording? But what about Livestreaming? Cause the rec4 software records and Livestreams 1080p 60, 1440p60 and 4k30.
So why is it specifically capped at 1080p 60,on OBS? Do you think they'll update obs to lift the cap? Just wondering cause I'd like to stream and record at 1440p or 4k but I'd also like to use my soundboard and possibly use gifs or videos from my steam deck in OBS.
The soundboard might work in rec4 but not the gifs using a steam deck. If you could update id really appreciate it man! Btw your the only RUclipsr who talked about the cap so I really appreciate that!

Definitely thinking of upgrading to this capture card. I need to figure out how to fix my audio problems first though. I game on Series X, capture through a Live Gamer Portable 2 to my PC, my headphones go through a Astro MixAmp TR Pro, and I have a Elgato Wave 3 for my stream. But I can not get game chat into my stream!!
Hi, back when I was a content creator, I used an older aVermedia device and there is an option on Xbox for your game chat audio to come through your headset, through your speakers, or (BOTH). I selected BOTH so that I could record gamechat.

Hi, what would be the best computer to use to be able to play and record 4k using this AVerMedia capture card? Im interested in it due to the price, but you mentioning how it works best on obs yet caps out at 1080 and 60fps is worrisome. Im referring to another video you created detailing computers that are great for gaming and they meet the specs, but im not sure what desktop/laptop would be best to not cap at 1080. Or should i not be worried about 4k as 1080 looks just fine? Also does it matter the resolution of the computer if im recording footage from my ps5 using my tv or is the tv just for my viewing purposes? Sorry for the many questions.

I’ve had bad flickering with my monitor when using the hd60 x with my ps5, I use my MacBook Pro to record/stream any tips on fixing it? Also the hdr setting everything goes dull any help with that? ( it stops flickering when I turn of the VRR settings but I don’t think I should have the off I’m not completely sure)

Im thinking of getting one if there for vrr because I have to use to vrr on my monitor or just looks bad but when you record the screen and upload on RUclips and play over 120 it looks fine its very but when I play its perfect I definitely need a vrr capture card I can't play any game with out vrr especially mw2
Can you use this on your main pc and record and minimize it like desktop recording or like Nvidia experience recording the 120fps and vrr is huge for me to get i play at 1440p 165fps but im definitely ok with 1440p 120fps

Question: I have this card. Every time I am using my PC with my PS5 its all good. No issues but when I turn on OBS to record, I get popping noises over and over yet if I turn off OBS the popping goes away so I am guessing something in OBS is causing this. Any ideas on how to fix this?
What happen's when you try to set it to capture at 1440p120hz?

So this has been an update, 1080p120 is for VRR, 1080p240 will pass for regular video.

just got aver media card and chatline combo. my chatline captures my in game teammates audio but will not allow MY headset MIC audio to pass through in game AND party chat. any suggestions or ideas?

USB mics don’t work on Xbox Series, unless you’re using a 3.5mm audio splitter

Avermedia needs to make a live gamer portable 3. I have the 2, but now with next gen I can't pass through 120fps and have to settle for 60fps

If you’re using both apps at once it won’t work. Can only use one at a time.

I really wanted this and was about to get it… but then you said it’s only records 4k30 :(, I wanna record 4K 60 for RUclips.
External capture cards can't do that yet, they're workin on it. If you want to record 4k 60 then you'll need an internal capture card like the 4k60 pro mk 2 by elgato. amzn.to/3F5Jd9H
how do you connect the wireless astro a50 with the chat link on xbox?
Chat link is used for pulling audio from controller, so that’s the only place you can connect it with the capture card. Astros can be hooked up normal with Xbox

I have an Xbox x and recently just set up a channel. My goal is to just record and upload to RUclips

The monitor I will be getting is the benq which has built in with decent speakers . It is Benq ex2710Q.

will I need a mic 🎙 which is attached to the 💻 MacBook Pro whilst all video audio of the Xbox x is going through elgato and into OBS software whilst I’m also listening to gameplay audio. Then would I just add second audio source in the OBS software. In essence doing commentary whilst I’m playing.

Yes the HD60 X can allow you to play in 120, your Mac will hold up fine just tweak settings if there are issues. Yes you need a mic to plug in for commentary unless you want to use computer mic.

You cannot do anything in 4k120 with any existing external capture cards
You can do it with an additional device, a 1 in 2 out hdmi 2.1 splitter that allows 4k 120hz pass through.
Instead of a Xbox for it I was going to use it on my graphics card and the other hdmi will go to the monitor and the USB will also go to my desktop
We also need a 2.1 hdmi

As I think, playing the new COD MW2 in 60hz gives you a cap in your gameplay. Do someone know if Elgato or someone else working on a capture card which support 4k 120hz?
Elgato has the 4k 60 pro m2 that can pass 4k120 but it’s not an external capture card. You have to install this into a PC tower build.
