- Hey, guys in this I try to show how I fixed the problem of the dreaded crackling when you use a game capture device. I really hopes this will help everyone and this problem can be no more. I went through all these steps only to find mine was already set to DVD quality, with no other options. Still struggling to get the new Mirabox capture device to lose the cracking voices.
Thank you for the help. It was only doing the static when using my capture card. Definitely going to recommend you to others having problems. This saved my stream!!!

My DVD option was greyed out in the sound settings, so I restarted Streamlabs OBS and Game Capture HD and behold, it friggin WORKS. My ears! My stream chat's ears! Hope this fix option works for anyone else having the same issue.

Hey, my guy, I appreciate ya help with the troubles. You come across a solution for audio delays for extended sessions? I've noticed with my videos after I watch them back that the audio will desync, and it's absolutely annoying. I'm using an EVGA Pro XR1. Watched a few videos on it, but I'd rather not have to deal with hearing my audio loop through my speakers while I'm recording. Preciate ya input.

The only way I was ever able to fix it was by closing OBS after recording and restart my audio interface.
so i still have issues with crackling sound in my audio capture, not my mic but what the elgato is capturing.

What do I do if my 4K 60 pro isn’t showing up in recording devices
My setting are fixed to dvd and can’t be moved but I still get the noise . What else could be causing this issue?

i tried this but the 2 channel, 16 bit drop down is greyed out :(
my settings is already set to that. but it is still crackly, maybe there is another way to fix this? but tbh i think it is just my pc being old

Unfortunately my low end PC doesn't have this DVD option and only comes with a '1 channel, 16bit, 96000hz' 😢
I have the camlink and the dropdown box to change the quality is greyed out :/

Should this also work for random mic popping? I went to advanced settings and saw that my microphone was under "CD Settings" so I changed it to DVD.
yes, it worked for random mic popping. I had that issue when I used the windows 10 app party chat and I changed it to DVD and it also fixed that. So hopefully it does for you.

How do you do this but on Xbox not on PC
My settings were grayed out for it with DVD selected, but I checked listen to this device and muted the audio in my elgato software and it fixed it

this did not work for me, the option is greyed out and only shows 2 channel DVD Quality 48000 Hz 16bit so it's only showing the one you are talkin about lol

Whatever you have must be there but under a different name. If it's not I guess check the drivers.

(edit): I had the application volume and windows setting volume both already set to 85%, but I did not know that there was an _additional_
master volume setting for my sound device in the sound control panel. I set that from 100% to 85%. Thanks so much man, that fixed the problem 😭😭😭😭
What about sound cracking using xbox console companion with obs studio... I hardwire ethernet and have 100mps speed... please help. Thanks
If you tried this and it didnt work, I would recommend you going into the xbox and making sure that the playback sound is the same as what you are using in the windows volume mixer tab.

Big oof on razors part. I barely used my capture card and the sound is terrible
I cant even get sound unless i use the 3.5mm aux, then when I do get audio, Its static.

I would suggest to go to playback and recording devices in windows and untick these prntscr.com/jel04v - prntscr.com/jel08k - prntscr.com/jel0d7
I would also suggest turning down the video bit rate by about 500 and see if that helps.

I have the exact issue, but I’m using it on a Mac. For the love of god have no clue how to fix it there. Can anyone advise me? Currently using the $50 Zasluke, if I cant fix it I guess I’ll buy the Elgato HD60S+
To fellas having trouble with this. If you monitor only your capture card and monitor and output your headphones or whatever you are using as an output the crackling will be gone. Because the problem seems to be on recordings and on the stream but not on the actual monitoring. I tried it on my stream tonight and it did the trick 👌
Anytime I record on screen capture my virtual dj videos. They come out craking and stuttered.
@@sk8tb1 try it the same. See what is the input for that and set it to monitor only. And the main thing you use to listen to it as monitor and output. To me it was if you recorded directly from the source it will crackle. But if your output is your listening device that will do the trick

so i am having the same problem you are having. Using Razer ripsaw capture capture card, I changed it to DVD. Still experiencing it . Am i doing something wrong here haha. Might have to see if it matches ps4
I would try switching to all the options on the drop down and see if that changes anything.

@@kellofkells6002 aw dude, it turned out my PC didn't meet the minimum requirements, even though it had been working fine for ages, the crackling just started happening one day. I ended up having to upgrade my PC and now my elgato works absolutely fine.
