Sean Taylor was what I call a perfectionist, he wanted to be the best, and when he was in the NFL, he was on that way to being the best, believe me, as a football fanatic who followed Taylor when he played at Miami, he would have been a future Pro Hall of Fame member
Hard to get the recruits in now by sending us a female President who doesn't know anything about football to a football powerhous who know anything raised up the entrance scores smh while all other schools getting with low income scores but we'll be back whoUwittheU
Ed Reed red shirted as a freshman and played his senior year .. Sean played as a freshman and entered the draft after his junior year. Sean would’ve been the greatest
I'm really confused on how Sean Taylor didn't win the Jim Thorpe award he was the best DB in the country 2 years in a row and his Junior year he had 10 pics and he lead a secondary the stop Larry Fitzgerald's touchdown streak.
Google who presents the Jim Thorpe award and you have your answer. I'll save you time. "It is voted on by the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame" Ed Reed came in 2nd in 2001. Taylor 2nd in 2003. They both lost to Oklahoma players. Roy Williams and Derrick Strait, respectively. Goddamn miscarriage of justice. Miami has only won the Thorpe once and it was actually a tie and shared award between Bennie Blades (Miami) and Rickey Dixon from... you guessed it. Oklahoma.
Another great video Canefreak2001! Sean Taylor dominated this game, but everyone on that team played tough and fast too!! Can't wait for them to start kicking se
Hands down Sean Taylor played the best defensive game i ever seen one single player play in college football ever against FSU no exaggeration dude had 7 pass breakups that game
All Coker had to do was go exclusively to a shotgun offense and Miami is playing for another NC. Instead he forced Berlin to play behind center and it was an really good, instead of great season.
Sean Taylor was born to be a Champion. Terry Porter robbed him of his destiny in 2002 & some scumbag pieces of sh** robbed him of that and his life in 2007. We're all just lucky that he chose to grace our University with his presence. Thank you Sean.
I was there, too. It was one hell of a hit. I was working in Tallahassee at a tech company full of Seminoles. The following Monday they came in griping that the game should be played again because the drainage system wasn't working. Crappiest excuse I've heard in my life.
The game of football is way toooo soft for players like this...sean taylor would get ejected every fkn game..they jus not built like this no more. And its all abt safety..the last of the GLADIATORS
as a big fsu fan, who'd seen the final score before, and replays of that stanford samuels hit a whole bunch of times....i didn't realize how lopsided this game actually was. miami was STACKED that year, seemingly way more talented than fsu.
man how i miss this team. i wish it was still like this. but its nothing like it. we should switch back to those jerseys, build up, and try to get back to where we used to be. i cant believe what is happening nowadays with our hurricanes. hopefully we'll be back. nah scratch that....i know we'll be back.....canes for life. []__[] RIP SEAN TAYLOR
This FSU team may have been the greatest squandering of talent in the history of the program. Other than 2013, 99 and 93 this may have been our best team but horrible qb development and offensive leadership by Jeff b makes most people forget about them. Look at the 2003 roster. It's amazing
kevin doering was a beast too keiwan ratliff(his sr. season) but my fav gator ever is lito sheppard(raines high school) i wish he coulda played a little offense at gainesville like spurrier kept saying lito was electricfying so was jabar gaffney couldnt nobody hold him and i loved travis taylor too.
@01CanesrdGOAT I got Berlin's autograph outside of a Hooter's down in Atlanta back in 04 couple of days before the Peach Bowl, but I can't find it, him and Roscoe Parrish were both cool dudes
This was the game where Nole fans whined forever about the rain, as if they were the only team that had to play in it. The score was nowhere reflective of how much we destroyed them
Fact size doesn't alwayz matter but it matters big batters usually lead tha league in homeruns though there r a few exceptions like bruce lee could hitt as hard as m.ali good trivia? who was tha smallest guy to lead tha league in home runs?
Obviously you like watching the Miami Hurricanes football whip FSU or else you would not have come to this video. Plus winning five national championships does a how great a football team is
Two words to describe this game .. SEAN TAYLOR
This video should be called "Sean Taylor single handedly beats fsu"
nick jimenez 😂😂😂😂😂
Payton was a beast in this game
Thomas Carroll had a hell of a game.
R.I.P. Sean Taylor. The absolute BEST Hurricane safety of ALL-TIME. No one had the heart, skill, leadership like Sean.
umm i don't know have you ever heard of bennie blades ed reed
Ed Reed was a much better leader...athlete..definitely Sean though
Sean and Ed are the two best I've seen.
Reed was one of Miamis best all time leaders and instinctual players
Sean Taylor screaming at Meriweather for giving up the touchdown on the last play of the game is perfect. Relentless.
I love to see that. I'd be hot too if I was Sean Taylor. No way they should be scoring a cheap touchdown this late.
Sean Taylor was what I call a perfectionist, he wanted to be the best, and when he was in the NFL, he was on that way to being the best, believe me, as a football fanatic who followed Taylor when he played at Miami, he would have been a future Pro Hall of Fame member
Chris Rix...the gift that keeps on giving. One of my favorite Hurricane players of all time. I was at this game. Never seen that much rain in my life.
If God had a son that was a football player his name would be Sean Taylor.
Miami will forever be my favorite football team, and I know that day is coming when we finally play like the old days. Just a matter of time
Doubt it
They will, I believe it
Hard to get the recruits in now by sending us a female President who doesn't know anything about football to a football powerhous who know anything raised up the entrance scores smh while all other schools getting with low income scores but we'll be back whoUwittheU
The time is here!!!
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Dw gang they’ll be back this season and if not next season
2 INTs,1 TD,Fumble Recovery,had everybody on FSU offense looking for him.the 🐐 #RIP26
"You just saw the best safety in America..." Rest In Paradise buddy.
Best game Sean ever had
Sean Taylor is the only person that I say that would have given Ed Reed a run for his money as the best safety on the NFL.
Sean taylor woulda been number 1
Ed Reed red shirted as a freshman and played his senior year .. Sean played as a freshman and entered the draft after his junior year. Sean would’ve been the greatest
Facts
You forgot about Troy
@@Airi_Iwin no, sean would've been better than Tory too
I love all the vids by Canesfreak. Reminds me of the passion Miami used to play with.
That parrish hit would be a personal foul and an ejection for targeting today
wolfman21 goes to show u how soft college football has become.
As it probably should be. Hitting with the crown of your helmet can not only injure you but the one you hit, especially back then.
@@rexdarby3826 that's not soft dude, that is such a dangerous play for the defender and the receiver
Sean Taylor was such a Beast!! RIP Goat 🐐!
I'm really confused on how Sean Taylor didn't win the Jim Thorpe award he was the best DB in the country 2 years in a row and his Junior year he had 10 pics and he lead a secondary the stop Larry Fitzgerald's touchdown streak.

@@mush930 makes perfect sense
@@mush930 .... You broke that down like game film.
Sean Taylor had the best game a Db Has ever had at the U
The LAST of the gladiators!!! College football would never ever be the same again after this year...jus my thoughts. Perfection in the mud.
the athleticism and talent on this miami is simply incredible.
Vince Wilfork was a damn freak! He had to have been pushin 345+ & get off the ball quick as fuck! Rest In Peace Bryan Pata & Sean Taylor! GO CANES!
2003- Miami's LAST great year. Coincidentally it was Butch Davis last class. (since the guys he recruited in 2000 would be seniors/juniors in 2003).
I truly believe if Butch stays at miami and they played Oklahoma in 2000 he would have at least 5 or 6 championships
Salute to youfor not leaving out the big hit on Parish
In this game, S. Taylor looked like the unstoppable kid in junior football. Amazing player!!
I'll never forget watching this game!
Another great video Canefreak2001! Sean Taylor dominated this game, but everyone on that team played tough and fast too!! Can't wait for them to start kicking se
Nole fan here, but Sean Taylor is probably the best FS ive seen. UNREAL!!!!
Hands down Sean Taylor played the best defensive game i ever seen one single player play in college football ever against FSU no exaggeration dude had 7 pass breakups that game
R.I.P Sean Taylor #TheU
he was so pissed at Threat for letting him score at the end. rip st
+glarrave that was Brandon Merriweather he was yelling at.
+Anthony Gironda u right. he let him have it. lol
Sean Taylor and Antrell Rolle formed a deadly secondary, I forgot who the other two were with them
They played pop warnere on the same team
Alphonso Marshall and Kelly Jennings also Maurice Sikes (SS)
Rumph, threatte, Sharpe
This is what HURRICANE football use to look like!
Right
I believe in TVD
Sean Taylor best hurricane ever to me
This was my first Miami vs FSU game as a fan, I was like 8 at the time. Just an amazing game.
might as well call this the sean taylor highlights. so dominant in this game
All Coker had to do was go exclusively to a shotgun offense and Miami is playing for another NC. Instead he forced Berlin to play behind center and it was an really good, instead of great season.
The U always ran a pro style or offense
Sean Taylor was born to be a Champion. Terry Porter robbed him of his destiny in 2002 & some scumbag pieces of sh** robbed him of that and his life in 2007.
We're all just lucky that he chose to grace our University with his presence. Thank you Sean.
man sean taylor was a great safety probably the best to come out of miami
Sean Taylor was beast.
Brad Nessler, “Sean Taylor’s got another one” . Bob Griese reply, “who else” ..... Chris Rix worst nightmare was Sean Taylor lmao 🤣
That Samuel hit on Parrish is iconic. The reason I looked this vid up. They don't football like that anymore, these guys were warriors
I was at this game. The hit at 6:55 was the loudest I've ever heard.
I remember watching this hit..... has to be the most memorable hit in college sports
I was there, too. It was one hell of a hit. I was working in Tallahassee at a tech company full of Seminoles. The following Monday they came in griping that the game should be played again because the drainage system wasn't working. Crappiest excuse I've heard in my life.
Now days that would be a flag smh
It's such a shame we don't wear the amber visors anymore. Absolute BEAST of a defense
Damn, why can’t THE U play like this anymore …. wow ! what a football team man
The game of football is way toooo soft for players like this...sean taylor would get ejected every fkn game..they jus not built like this no more. And its all abt safety..the last of the GLADIATORS
Miami was pretty good in the early 2000s, from a Nole fan.
as a big fsu fan, who'd seen the final score before, and replays of that stanford samuels hit a whole bunch of times....i didn't realize how lopsided this game actually was. miami was STACKED that year, seemingly way more talented than fsu.
Which is saying a lot because that FSU team was no slouch. Just shows how good that Miami team really was
man how i miss this team. i wish it was still like this. but its nothing like it. we should switch back to those jerseys, build up, and try to get back to where we used to be. i cant believe what is happening nowadays with our hurricanes. hopefully we'll be back. nah scratch that....i know we'll be back.....canes for life.

RIP SEAN TAYLOR
This was ten years ago...damn
Ouch
Damn I miss #26. Love u bro . R.I.P.
r.i.p. sean taylor.. i miss him #305
Rest in peace Shawn best ever
THIS is how football is played. Physical, and in the rain/snow and mud.
Say what you want about Brock Berlin but he OWNED both Florida State & Florida.
He was 2-0 vs Florida & 3-0 vs Florida State.... IN 2 YEARS!
this game shoulda been 70-0
the best sign i saw was the next year at the orange bowl from a canes fan "rix four more years"
the rain made this game so much more dramatic
Beautiful TD pass that Rix threw to Sean Taylor lol
2003 football season was great for all teams....and the 2004 draft....great players
loved this game, thanks
What was Miami supposed to do? Davis left for the Browns, and Coker was his Offensive Coordinator, it was maintaining continuity
RIP Sean Taylor
Happy birthday R.I.P. Sean Taylor
Stu who from Purdue? 😂😂 man please
This FSU team may have been the greatest squandering of talent in the history of the program. Other than 2013, 99 and 93 this may have been our best team but horrible qb development and offensive leadership by Jeff b makes most people forget about them. Look at the 2003 roster. It's amazing
Dhj
I love how some of the commentators hate Miami! Mark my words, come on Bob! LMFAO @ BOB!
Rix got any eligibility left. I miss him too.🤭🤭🤭
How in THE HELL did Sean not win the thorpe award that year..I just don't get it. Dorsey could have one a heisman, as well as mcgahee.
Miami hurricane and Florida state Seminole are both of my college football teams and that is straight facts 💯
WHAT??
+Canfanforlife1, LMAO!! I was just thinking the same stuff!!
He was hilarious!!!!
GO CANES!!!
Looks like Sean Taylor was angry at Brandon Meriweather after Florida State scored on the last play.
2:12. He knew who was in front of him. Big ol
Sean Taylor
I remember Florida State fans bitching about the rain after this game. Then we beat them in the Orange Bowl in perfect weather lol.
kevin doering was a beast too keiwan ratliff(his sr. season) but my fav gator ever is lito sheppard(raines high school) i wish he coulda played a little offense at gainesville like spurrier kept saying lito was electricfying so was jabar gaffney couldnt nobody hold him and i loved travis taylor too.
Rix was Bowden's downfall.
it's all about the u baby
Not anymore lol how the mighty have fallen
THANKS BRO!
How bout them Canes!
@01CanesrdGOAT I got Berlin's autograph outside of a Hooter's down in Atlanta back in 04 couple of days before the Peach Bowl, but I can't find it, him and Roscoe Parrish were both cool dudes
Why does this 2022 miami hurricanes can do this anymore..i have being a canes fan since 1986..i just wish they can can come back the way the use too.
I missed this game because I had to work
Classic!
my man sean taylor..
I was at the Peach Bowl vs. Florida, that Georgia Dome was loud, and I can't find the autograph I got from Brock Berlin
always does me good to see Miami beat Florida state or anybody to beat fsu I love it espically when the Gators beat fsu

Maurice Sikes and Kelly Jennings. Jennings is still in the NFL
Chris Rix played like shit in the 5 games vs Miami in his career.
Man I thought Kellen Winslow was gonna take over in the nfl... guess not lol
Rix the goat
Sean Taylor was everywhere that day. Chris Rix was fucking horrible. THE U BABY!!!!!!!

I watching this to see if Chris Rix surivived from that bounty that was out on him lol
If brock played the way he played in 2004 in 2003, canes win the ship that yr
@carloctave You’re right ,he blew his coverage
Wilfork is big as shit. Looks like Seantrel Henderson playin DT
