Totally agree: Grint is good but underused, same as Enoch, Pattinson is ok maybe a bit overrated but Melling in the Coen's movie and in The queen's gambit was very good, outstanding in this.
@@kangaroo3708sheesh I almost forgot Robert. To think both of them had very little scenes in the HP series and became such great actors. Don't get me wrong the three main characters are amazing but Robert and Harry are top tier actors. Emma Watson might be famous but her acting isn't that good and she's really bad with accents.
Christian is a phenomenal actor, and Harry actually outshone him in some scenes. I've really enjoyed watching Harry's acting in recent years, I hope to see more of him.
he was so good in this man, he really impressed me, i hope to see him in more things. i knew him as dudley but he really showed how great of an actor he was in this.
I had the exact same thought. I'm not entirely sure what was with Bale's character. I couldn't tell if it was how he was written, or maybe the scenes that they used, but he never really felt that compelling. Harry, on the other hand, was consistently fantastic, and managed to sell a very peculiar character as very real and authentic. A British man speaking French with a stylized American accent was impressive.
Christian Bale's acting has always been exceptional, but Harry Melling? Absolutely incredible! I have scenes I had to re-watched because I was appalled by how convincing and excellent Melling was. The movie itself is great as it is. The plot, the twist, everything. Wow. A must watch.
I would absolutely love Harry doing a series of Poe movies! I would pay plenty money to watch and rewatch them, after watching The Pale Blue Eye today. Absolutely loved it
@@EyeofValor I too thought about sleepy Hollow as I watched some of his scenes. I wondered if he was a fan of that movie or Johnnie Depp. I know he is from a family of actors though.
Oh my! I was thinking the same thing! He should play Poe in several films. He was just outstanding! Bald is one of my favorite actors and I never turn down one of his movies because they're always great. But this one goes to Harry!
I like how Bale said he would like to see Harry continue to play Edgar Allan Poe in subsequent movies. How cool would that be to see the Edgar Allan Poe character inserted into 19th century American stories, whether the story is centered on the poet or others.
Christian Bale's suggestion for Harry to continue playing Poe is spot on. I would show up to every movie if Harry Melling was Poe in some sort of life shaping drama or mystery. He was outstanding
I was floored by Melling's performance, he captured Poe's aura magnificently! I would love to see more movies with him in the role, so glad to see he seems quite positive in the prospect! And we also have Bale's "blessing" in the matter! I'd say go for it!
Bale saying he’d love to see him go on and play EA Poe in a spin off is such a massive compliment. Thoroughly deserved too he was exquisite playing Poe.
Firs time i watched Harry’s movie…..what a phenomenal acting….i watched few scenes multiple times….the expressions, the delivery OMG…..and Christian is anyway phenomenal
I've found Melling's performance a little over-the-top. I preferred by far Bale's nuanced performance. It's in prefect accordance to his character's need not to attract too much attention to himself.
I’ve seen Harry Melling in several shows. One was “legend of buster Scruggs”. He was so good in that story but it was sad. Then the Chess movie. Glad to see his acting career is taking off as he is a good actor. Look forward to more from him 😊🤩😁
You mean, *Ballad of Buster Scruggs? Yup, the guy is great in that movie. He also great in Netflix Devill All The Time with Tom Holland, Skarsgard, Pattinson and Sebastian Stan, i think i like him more in this movie as "maniac" role. He would be great as Joker in future DC movies
Best start to an interview ever! I love how Bale keeps deflecting the attention onto Melling. Great to see actors of his influence pass the torch on. And I agree, we need more Harry Melling movies!!
I liked how Christian asked, “Do you think so?” when told by the interviewer that the Industry is putting out a lot of good quality movies………Best Response Yet
I have watched this three times and thoroughly enjoy Christian’s and Harry’s acting. Both have a wonderful ability of capturing my interest. I loved this movie ..
I loved the part of the film where Poe defended himself against Landor's accusations by saying that there wouldn't be many cadets left at West Point if he retaliated for everything they had done to him... Where he basically admitted that he was severely bullied... Where he told Landor that he's well aware of his own quirks, faults, and imperfections. That acting... Just wow!
Melling is one of the most talented actors around. Makes every role and script credible and a joy to watch. Recommend The Pale Blue Eyes, brilliant acting all round. More of Melling please, any Director worth his salt must know he’s a real box office investment. Massively on the up I would hope.
Just watched this film and really enjoyed it. Harry Melling comes from a line of great English actors and he himself is up there. I would love to see him follow his grandfathers footsteps.
This was a GOOD movie! Both are excellent in their roles. Such great twists in the movie! This is for movie fans, for people who enjoy films that are lovingly made, by people who love what they do.
I enjoyed “The Pale Blue Eye” very much. Christian Bale is his usual good self. Harry Melling is quickly becoming a superb actor. His role in “The Old Guard” was well done, but his role in this movie was really outstanding. I hope he can continue to get good roles because he is really a lot of fun to watch.
Brilliant acting by Harry. I hope his career will skyrocket now. Watching them both in same scenes, so good! Movies like that remind me that cinema can still be great in age of marvel garbage.
Harry Melling was fantastic 👏. I'm watching The Ballet of Buster Scrubs. He is phenomenal in this movie too. Some of the best acting I've ever seen and I'm in my 60's.
I've found Melling's performance a little over-the-top. I preferred by far Bale's nuance performance. It's in prefect accordance to his character's need not to attract too much attention to himself. Et son jeu, chaque fois qu'il est question de la fille de Landor est extrêmement émouvant.
It's interesting to see that Harry might actually become the most talented actor that came out of the Potter series.
Daniel Radcliffe is up there too
Robert Pattinson ain’t bad either
Totally agree: Grint is good but underused, same as Enoch, Pattinson is ok maybe a bit overrated but Melling in the Coen's movie and in The queen's gambit was very good, outstanding in this.

He played super phenomenal in pale blue eyes.

Yes you nailed it exactly 💯💯💯!
Bale as always is amazing, but for me Melling steals the show. Also, what a great chemistry between this two.
I want Scott Copper to direct Morbius-2 casting Harry Melling to play anti-hero against Jared Leto the Michael Morbius

I completely agree. I got lost in his performance as POE. Its both amazing and creepy how he embodied EAP. Just wow!!
The whole movie was fantastic, Harry nailed Poe. I would love to see more of this. Reminds me of the first time I watched Sleepy Hollow.

More Harry's Poe, please. Seriously, he's practically his own franchise after that performance. They better not waste it.

And follow the stories along his life
Amazing movie and performances all the way around. Loved seeing Christian Bale really enjoying some of the scenes with Harry.
Harry did phenomenally. How did he go from Dudley to Edgar Allen Poe?! What an arc!

Wasn't very modest or humble on the set of terminator salvation lmao
I love how harry turned out to be the best actor of the kids from harry potter and the only one who can do a convincing American accent

Harry Melling stole that movie! Great performance!

Harry Melling stole the spotlight in the movie, magnificent performance.
