Two very sweet persons who played two of the most vicious characters in the history of movies...
ye voldemort pretty evil.

Ralph Fiennes has a surprising gentleness, almost like a shyness, here compared to what most of his characters feel like.
You could see that in "A Constant Gardner'
2 brilliant actors who can effortlessly transition from charming to whimsical to absolutely terrifying in mere seconds.
Yes, it is incredible that they have played roles where you fall completely in love with their characters, forever, and at the same time they have played the most terrifying evil people
These two gents, with Javier Bardem and Mads Mikkelsen, they’re the absolute nicest people who have played the most terrifying roles of true evil incarnate.
Ralph is so shy, adorable and calm, that makes him even more lovely.
Can’t believe Ralph Fiennes is so giddy at being complimented by Christoph Waltz! Just shows how much reverence they have for each other!
Amon Goeth and Hans Landa, two terrifying characters played by two amazing actors! These guys are only just a tiny bit behind the master who was Bruno Ganz!
thank you for the comment and the profile pic
He should have won an Acadamy Award for Schindlers List.
He was nominated; Tommy Lee Jones won, for The Fugitive. It was one of those years where any of at least four of the nominees could have won and it would have made sense. I would have probably have voted for Fiennes if I were an Academy member, but I can understand voting for Jones. His performance elevated that movie to another level, although the same is true of John Malkovich in In the Line of Fire.
@@susieusmaximus5330 A nuanced take on the internet? Miracles do happen!
@@SatanicHorse 😂He's probably old!
@@susieusmaximus5330 yeah fine, but come on... Tommy Lee Jones performance was NOTHING spectacular. Compared to Ralph Fiennes it is not even a competition. His performance in Schindlers List is one if not the best performance ever done
@@100EmotionalDamage Er, if you're referring to me, yeah, I'm fairly old. Definitely not a he, though.
The barley field comment from Christoph Waltz was incredible. It shows how incredibly astute he is and why he's such an incredible actor.
Ralph was absolutely incredible in Schindler's List, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Harry Potter, and In Bruges. Christoph was amazing in Django Unchained and Inglorious Bastards. Absolutely masterful in their work.
Inglourious Basterds (2009)
Imglorious Bastards (1972?)

Ralph Fiennes is so smiley
Ralph Fiennes's performance in Schindler's List was so incredible. Both exceptional actors.
Ralph does seem like a nice man. I have heard he is really nice to fans. He is a brilliant actor and one of the greatest of all time!
I met him! And yes he was very kind and gracious. He smiled at me and we said a few words. He looked right into my eyes and I thought I would die!
Not often you see M and Blofeld so relaxed together
😂🤣
Holy S#@t I completely forgot they were even in that together. Wow.
Are you kidding? That's Hans Landa and Amon Goeth, two of the worst monsters of WW2.
@@heimdal8 The actors Ralph Fiennes and Christoph Waltz were in the Bond Franchise with Daniel Craig.
@@arthurmorgan6703 I’m very well aware of that, thank you. I was making a reference to Schindler’s list and Inglorious Basterds which they also starred in.
Hans Landa and Amon Geoth in the same room!
Did they like fight off camera? Why only 10 minutes? I want an hour of this.
They're all shorter this year but hopefully it's because they'll have more actors just shorter vids
This was an hour; they just edited out all the awkward silences!
I'm sure you can find the original somewhere. I saw the full version 10 years ago when it was filmed.
This is just an edited clip from a full version (from many years ago).
@@johnathonkelly5117This is almost 10 years old!!!
These are two terrific actors. Great to see them sitting here talking shop. Mr Waltz's depiction of Colonel Hans Landa is one of the most amazing performances I've ever seen. Simply brilliant.
Fiennes portrayal of Amon Goethe is amazing too.
9 mins? we need more of those legends
Two of the most genius actors of the last 100 years. Both get SO deep into their role that you completely forget they're acting.
They are geniunely happy to be face to face to a brilliant actor each, but self-aware of the mutual jerkoff vibe. Love it!
I've been a huge fan of Fiennes since I was a teenage girl when The English Patient came out and I thought he was so so sooooo handsome. I quickly realized in addition to that he is an extremely talented actor who almost always picks interesting, dynamic roles(Maid In Manhattan being a rare exception). It's always a treat seeing him interviewed. Waltz is an awesome actor too. I just don't have the same lifelong connection to him like I do Fiennes.
I love him in maid in manhattan. That s the best part of an otherwise shitty movie
Are you me? 😊
Two master thespians that belong on short list of the very best to ever do it.
That one just made me realize how anachronistic talk shows are. Here: No hosts, that are searching for that tiny holes to fit themselves into the conversation. What a pleasure to listen - yeah not watch but LISTEN - to this piece. Beautiful.
The conversations shows really well how deeply intelligent both actors are :)
God I wish this were longer!
People truly at the top of their craft are always the most humble. Because they recognize there is always more to learn. It's what makes them so good
I am a huge fan of Ralph. Loved him in one of the best films of the past 50 years, The English Patient
"In Bruges" Fiennes ate that role up! A perfect movie.
A meeting of giants. I only wish it was ten times longer.
Fiennes has been my favourite actor since I first watch him on Wuthering Heights. I was 10 and I was shocked...
Of course Hans Landa and Amon Goeth would get along!
Hahha well said
Two of my favorite actors💗
Two amazing actors
Two of the best to ever do it. Incredible artists
I love it when actors genuinely respect and admire each other's work 💓. Two of my absolute favorite actors 💖
Two absolutely great actors.
I adore these two. Fiennes will forever be The English Patient to me ❤❤❤❤
2 of my absolute favorites
These 2 as villains in the same movies would be unreal good
Both play excellent villains. Both play excellent heroes.
With his level of skill, talent and intelligence; I'm totally impressed by the lack of arrogance in Ralph. Now I like him even more.
Two of my favorite actors of all time
Ralph Fiennes is a delight!
That wasn’t long enough, where’s the rest. Great seeing these two gentleman chatting about their craft.
Two of my favorite actors of all time, they're not even actors really; they are artists.
Thank you, Variety, for making this video just for me.
Omg i was not ready for this goodness !! Ralph is the best for me !!
Isn't it beautiful, such talents celebrating each other.
What a duo!!! 🤩🤩🤩
I happened upon this RUclips clip, not knowing that you would talk about the grand Budapest hotel, which happens to be one of my favourites motion pictures of all time.
And then I took great pleasure in watching the clip again, observing two great artists, conversing 😇
If you’ve not seen it yet, do watch Strange Days with Ralph Fiennes and Angela Bassett. The infamous line “right here, right now” sampled by Fatboy Slim comes from that film. The film itself is just absolutely stunning and a real masterpiece in creating a thriller.
Not to mention the ensemble cast, including Michael Wincott, Tom Sizemore and Juliette Lewis.
@@keylime6900 Utterly spectacular!
2 legends are together! Amon & Hans
These two men are very similar in how they can act that fine line between immensely evil and monstrous, and charming and sweet. That seems such a fine balance I believe only the most talented can pull it off.
10min? I could listen to them for hours
These two actors gushing over each other's work. Clearly, they'd have a blast acting together *ahem*
Dos señores actores, demostraron porqué hacen cine👍 maravilloso
Seriously, I agreed the person who made the casting decision deserves an Oscar
It’s amazing how they found shirts matching their eye colours. Quiet fascinating
two great actors

This is too relaxing❤
Two of my fave actors❤❤❤❤❤. Waltz won every supporting actor award for his role so in "INGLORIOUS BASTERDS" 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Happy to see Hans Landa and Amon Goeth get along together
Wonderful to see these two guys whisper for 9mins.
Amazing chat!

Ralph Fiennes is SO handsome! intelligent, talented, sexy, cute-giggling like a little boy.
Those two have a crush on each other. It is so beautiful
Love these two 🤩
Two greats!
It's nice that they finally invited some actors into this...
both brilliant, both likeable/charming - but I will give Ralph a + on the range/variety he has. Ah how can one forget Red Dragon
Seeing how Ralph wants to hear about QT now i really wanna see him play a small part in his last film.
Ralph in a Tarantino film would be a career highlight for sure!
quality, mutual respect, talent, humility and pure sexiness
variety I like the full 20 to 30 minutes. Please still do those
I normally hate listening to actors talk accept in movies, but these two are a joy to listen to. I miss Peter O'Toole.
Excuse me why is this only 9 minutes
They are surprisingly similar, in their behavior and personality, in this interview :)
i'm in love with ralph fiennes.
Not to take anything away from the actors, they are great and fit their characters like a fine glove. The incredibly well written parts made it so easy for them. Tom Hanks is very similar too. Great actors get great parts, and great parts get great actors. I truly enjoy the movies they are in.
Phew. The POWER here!!!
Sublime diálogo.dos cabezas magníficas,
Christoph Waltz is an endless ASMR material for me.
Incredible
Both Bond actors talking shop. Love it 🍸
Two of the best Nazis on film.
Landa and goeth meeted fr 🔥🔥🔥
THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL WAS GENIUS❤
Ralph could play Bradley Cooper’s older brother …
This interview needs to be much longer, two intelligent softly spoken men who don’t need to raise their voices to command attention.
Why this one is so short? I was so lovely to see these two.
I am obsessed with the way CW talks. I could sleep to it. 😅
I could just sleep with him!
Holy shit my 2 favourite actors
Such low energy but honest exchange
Agreed!! Where’s the rest of it?
I thought this was going to be top-class, but it's even more.
Always a good watching lads and laddets talking as themselves as their jobs are speaking words other folks have written in front of a camera . Strange job ain't it !
Voldemort and Hans Landa having a very polite conversation.
Not a cellphone in sight, just two of the greatest villains in film history living in the moment
Yeah none of these videos have cellphones in, why would they?

Most just do this once with a constant output of movies. Christoph Waltz has done several of those with just several movies.
The audio is too low... 😞
