“i’d be pissed if they brought back voldermort and didn’t ask me”
*every single harry potter fan sighs* “phew!”
The LEGO Batman movie: Ups
Halie Loranger accurate 😂😂
Cool. So, can they film young Tom Riddle, Ralph? I would love for that to happen.
@Ad Max What does it change for you ? if you don't like it, don't watch it !
As for me, as a fan of the books, I actually would love a TV series that finally adapts well the books !
Brandon Bone he played alfred
This man’s voice can calm a burning building.
I don’t even know what that means.
I'm watching this on 4th of July because the 4th makes me nervous...exactly because his voice is so freaking calming.
He should voice an audiobook eh?
He is the uncle of hero fiennes tiffin listen to his accent gosh😍😍
Imagine if hades or Voldemort spoke like this instead of their rasp...
Uranium M I’m the 660th like
Amon Goeth’s daughter said that when she watched Schindlers List, she immediately knew he was portraying her father before his name was on the screen. To be able to portray someone, especially a villain, so effectively that their own family says you nailed it, that’s a true professional.
And not just his family, but also the survivors. He fully triggered one of the survivors' PTSD when she saw him in costume, poor woman went shaking non-stop and had to be helped to stay standing.
He should have won an Oscar for Amon Goeth.
Oddly enough, I think Liam Neeson told him (after the Oscars) something along the lines of "Be glad you didn't win; you'd have had that role hanging around your neck the rest of your life."
and maid in manhatten
Liam Neeson was robbed too
Brilliant actor indeed
Goeth was heroic.
This man was robbed of not 1 but 2 straight Oscars. One of the most underrated actors of this generation.
@Chief Brody calm down, it’s common knowledge that he was robbed of the oscar in 1993. You obviously have never seen schindler’s list.
@Chief Brody sorry chief brody, i forgot it was you who decides what is underrated and what isn’t. This is the only comment i’ve seen calling his performance underrated i don’t know why ur crying about it
@Chief Brody he means underrsted in tearms of the acadamy
@@jacobpenn8817 Well, "common knowledge", I don't know ... I thought Tommy Lee Jones was pretty amazing in The Fugitive as well. You could disagree, but at least show so much respect not to call his oscar win "robbery". Sometimes people tend to forget the Academy doesn't shovel out Oscars by the dozens. Instead only four of many marvellous actors/actresses can win each year.
@Chief Brody dude i really agree with you
Underrated comments in movies is really annoying and stupid
That and the “best movie ever” comments
He is one of the only actors I have seen who is absolutely nothing like any of his characters. Truly the mark of a good actor.
Vince G of a genius actor!
Gary Oldman is the only other I can think of but they're a rare breed.
Daniel Day Lewis
Seth Rogen too
Well he does have a nose in real life
I’m sad they didn’t get him to talk about his role as Ramses in Prince of Egypt. Such a genuine heart breaking performance in what is arguably one of the best animated films of all time.
Oh shoot, that was him?! That's my first time hearing him!
Voice-acting is an underrated art in general.
@Benjamin Prewitt EXACTLY! That movie (Prince of Egypt) is better than any of the mentioned movies combined.
@@janeisabel7138 nah
@@janeisabel7138The PoE is easily the greatest animated movie of all time imo- and I’m extremely ex-religious LMAO! Rameses just has so much wonderfully deep characterization and Ralph channels him perfectly!! There’s so much betrayal and layers of emotions and love, and overall, Rameses is a tragic and sympathetic antagonist.
The pain in his eyes when he started to speak about Amon gave me chills man. The portrayal will never be topped, but it hurt him to have to *be* the essence of evil.
and later Lord Voldemort 😅
"You just have to HATE Harry Potter" Man that's friggin great lol

That is how Avada Kedavra is executed, he’s technically right.

Amon Goeth is one of the scariest characters I've ever seen in cinema, I get chills down my spine when I think about him. Such a brilliant portrayal by Mr. Fiennes, frighteningly brilliant
And he was so handsome, devil was beautiful
Then he pkayed that guy in the grand budapest hotel. That is awesome talent.
Convincingly played 2 very very different men
That's where I first saw Ralph Fiennes, when he played Amon Goeth. I thought to myself "who is that actor? He's so brilliant!" He really brought that character to life. Really made you feel who he was. Such a talented and beautiful man. I try to never miss any of his films. 😍❤
It’s scary if you think about how the real Goeth was even worse
He was so good that he even terrified a holocaust survivor who thought he was the real amon goeth
I see no one mentioning him portraying M in the James Bond movies.. He nailed that too!!!
He just had to act British and super cool. Easiest role he ever had. Maybe that is why he didn't talk about it.
@@mikej8382 While I agree, I think the way they had him step after step into the role was done super well. Even 10 seconds at the end for a storied character would've been nice.
Sadly the films he was M in ... sucked
Perhaps he should be Bond Villains as same as Alec Travelyan... 😂😂😂
Barthotuber Well, the interview are about which are HIS most iconic characters.
His role in Grand Budapest Hotel was absolutely amazing, he was totally hilarious
Indeed. That's my favorite movie.
Still can't connect how this man is both Voldemort and that funny man in Grand Budapest
And the monster SS-commander Amon Göth in Schindlers list
that's how you know he's a great actor
In bruge...
I loved him in the Bigger Splash
the UK has set out to take a big role in the field of drama and branded actors and actresses for international projects because it built an empire not just for the country but as well for those who stands in line to claim their places, witch includes only a few hand selected people like Fiennes,i consider them slaves because they are financially dependent on the structure others has embraced as they continue to supply the needs of the masses to sell an idea of self worth. personally i am fed up with the corporate entities and connection between the UK and the USA because the underdogs who are equally talented doesn't receive the recognition then those who stood in line waiting to be picked up -like Fiennes. the discrimination continue to exist today in our society are not just funded but fueled by those who choose not elevate themselves and take on a new role as mentor and help others to achieve great things because they are so stuck up in their own superiority that their ego needs to be fed continuously.
He was so beautiful in Schindler’s list, it made me uncomfortable. I thought something was wrong with me. Lol. But he’s just so aesthetically pleasing
I thought he was so hot in Schindler’s list. Not his character obviously but the way he looked
Fiennes is a handsome man and in the film he wears aesthetically pleasing clothing.
Essess Nine aesthetically pleasing clothing? You mean like his natzi uniform lol
Literally same.

Even though he was the bad guy in 'in bruges' he was also the most honourable and dignified character who was a man of his word, I found it so hilarious 😂
In Bruges is one of the funniest, most depressing movies I've ever seen. So good!
He was robbed of an Oscar for Schindler’s List. 🏆
Oscars are nothing but a joke.
@@onerandombruh Ay, but back then, they were genuine.
He did get nominated though, so perhaps I was a little too harsh :D
The most important thing is that we appreciate his art, we all know that he is on of the greatest actors of his generation. Oscar is a memorable moment for every person in this industry but there are many that have won but can't be associated to that greatness.
Neeson as well

He was robbed of an Oscar nod for Grand Budapest.
I was legit mad he was snubbed
yes and for the english patient he deserved an oscar.
He's been robbed several times.
Has Ralph Fiennes ever delivered a non-Oscar-worthy performance? I thought he should've been nominated for both 'Oscar & Lucinda' & 'The End of the Affair'. Not to mention 'Grand Budapest'. The fact that he's never won an Oscar, even after his performances in 'Schindler's List' & 'The English Patient', is flat out crazy.

The Amon Goeth role was a masterful performance. Still sends shivers down my spine when I watch that movie. Unbelievably talented actor.
19 minutes are not enough for this brilliant actor. The Reader? Onegin? The Dutchess? In Bruges?.. I would like to hear more about Ralph's filmography

It's amazing. He's a really good man, that's why he's good-looking still
Being unproblematic helps.
Omg I thought the exact same thing
Tom Cruise is 58 though, but We can't compare other actors in that age range to him I guess. Ralph Fiennes is fine though, stunning eyes!
Really? I get some obsession related opinions, but they are at least based on real life. Insane must be daily for you. Good luck to your surroundings!
I love the voices of Alan Rickman and Ralph Fiennes.
Could listen to him speak for hours!! Love that velvety, low voice
He exudes charisma, and is unrecognizable in any of his roles, these are the signs that he's one of the greatest actors. Really nails every one of his roles, in a very intelligent manner.
A comment that makes sense.
Yes! I love his thoughtfulness. Also the fact that he starts morphing into character as he describes how he approached Voldemort's character :)
I’d say Voldemort had some charisma
Yeah when they take away his nose and give him slimy skin I didn’t recognise him at all!
He speaks so eloquently.
Let’s not forget that he was the voice score of Rameses in the Prince of Egypt and absolutely killed it
Please he even sang-
Both Ramses and Amon have in common: They kill allot of jews

One of his best performances!
He was good but that movie blows
Mr fiennes is one of the finest actors working today. His range is huge and underrated.
You mean Fiennest?
He truly is and quite naughty although that just adds to his je ne sais quoi. I remember when he had a tryst with a flight attendant on a flight he was on.
How could he possibly be said to be underrated?
I could sleep in a blanket made of his voice😍😄
Exactly what I said.
My three favorite British actors-Gary Oldman, Ralph Fiennes and the Late Alan Rickman.
reese Aberle completely agree, and all of them were apart of harry potter as well hahahaha
Gotta include Sir Ben Kingsley in that list though

No, seriously him in Prince of Egypt. It was just beautiful. Ever so majestic! He is truly a marvel of an actor!
His performance in Strange Days (1995) should be mentioned. That movie is a forgotten masterpiece

His character in Schindler's List tells you all you need to know about an actor. If you hate their character, especially because of how evil they are, then they did their job. He made me hate Amon Göth so he did his job.
Another hidden gem he was in is “Quiz Show.” A great performance as an Ivy League American blue blood who carries a dark secret.

The English Patient was the saddest movie I’ve ever seen . I haven’t been able to look at the desert without thinking of it . Not quite sure what that means, but his performance was immaculate.
It's the most romantic movie , I can still remember Kristin Scott's laugh when he tells her the story

This film is already a cult classic!
@@drunkvegangal8089 Very critically lauded as well.
I love that film so much. It's funny and sarcastic and a bit silly, but it's also a masterpiece of storytelling. Everything is in there for a reason and so many things you think are just there to give color to a character or a scene end up being pivotal plot elements as the story doubles back on itself. Lots of movies and books like to leave a great deal of loose ends, things to ponder or leave ambiguous and that's all well and good, but there's something really charming about a story that ties everything up with a tidy little bow and leaves you thinking, "Wow, that ended so neatly."
How has This man not won an Oscar it makes no sense
My favorite movie of his is Red Dragon. He plays a serial killer and his portrayal of him is so brilliantly done. He somehow brings the humanity into the character and as creepy and disturbing as he is, I still always find pitty and remorse for him. It's disturbing and humanizing at the same time and one of his best portrayals of a bad guy (although he's brilliant in other roles as well).
What an intelligent, articulate, thoughtful person he seems to be. I'm so impressed with him. And: for my money one of his best roles was "Quiz Show". He was phenominally well-cast for that, and did a superb job. I'd love to hear him talk about it.
