For me the gallardo is the best of the Lamborghini! Without question... You have to go and buy one of these for the channel. You look so at home behind the wheel and the smile on your face is priceless!! Make it happen Paul.

What a symphony.
Dude! for the proper recording of the exhaust tone in and out of the car, you hit it OUT OF THE PARK!! No one gets the recording like you do. NO ONE!!! I think part of it is the way you record the outside noise halfway between the pipes and above the engine bay, either than GoPro-style--directly right next to one pipe or the other. From an acoustic standpoint, I was wondering if one needed to make sure to mix the two sides so you get the natural mix and frequency cancellation of the two sides, and also, record it indirectly... so it sounds more like a spectator would hear it, and...you have saved me the trouble of having to experiment. Now I just have to go buy me one. Bravo! The 5.0L Mark 1 is on my bucket list of great-sounding things to buy before we are forced to go electric!
Imagine how heavenly it would sound if Lamborghini reverts the firing order of Huracan's V10 to the one this engine has.
Paul Paul Paul, you are great in front of the camera, but what’s happened to your channel man? It’s just yet another rehash of what you have already done. You started out when Tim did, but Sam with his amazing content, and JWW who started many years after you are knocking it out the park. I don’t wish to be mean, and I know it will come across harsh but need to up your game. Speak to Sam, make this channel great again. You are great, brilliant hearing you on Sam’s podcast but it’s time to make a big leap forward on direction with your content. Hopefully you will take this positively as that’s how it’s meant. 👍🏼
this channel has been stuck at 884k subs for 3 years now. He also got married and bought a house whereas other youbers surpassed him in subs and better content.
Not wrong, dont mind the content but its falling behind and only watch one every now and again these days. He also doesn't seem to read and respond to the community either, be part of his followers even a little
Yeah… sad truth. SOL is stuck in time and that’s why his subscriber number ain’t climbing. I used to watch everything here and enjoy it, but now I’m one step from unsubscribing… Sorry Paul, but after all this years this is just unwatchable anymore. This channel either will evolve into something cool or ‘die’ slowly unfortunately.

I'm a Ferrari guy myself, but good for you to have the same passion with Lamborghini. It's all about how it makes you feel and it's great to see the pure enjoyment in a fellow petrolhead's eyes!
I don't think the 5.2 sounded different from the 5.0 because of the increased displacement, it was due to the change in firing order of the cylinders.

that's correct, the new engine has uneven firing intervals so it kinda sounds like two five cylinder engines in parallel, however in the 5.0 the explosions are “evenly spaced in time” so that F1 harmonic arises. That's a true V10 sound.
I have the most fun watching SOL videos when Paul is fired up in a modern classic lambo. Long term ownership of one of these would be so much fun to watch

Second best sounding Lamborghini ever. LP640 still king. But as a “value” proposition, I would have that grigio telesto superleggera in a heartbeat! Please buy it and treat it like Sam treats his 360; and then keep it forever. It’s not the fastest thing, but it just has that “it” factor that is lacking in every new car.

I loved the simplicity of that era's Lamborghini. Such an amazing-sounding v10! I completely agree with your assessment about the cars today being disconnected as a driving experience. I was spoiled with driving a classic completely manual Porsche as my daily driver for years. Since giving that up, I long for the familiar feeling of being engaged while driving. I find the latest vehicles to be the most distracting things in the world, with all the driver aids, massive screens, and things constantly beeping at you. So the Sesto Elemento is not road legal, is very rare and very expensive. How much would it cost, to buy a Gallardo, and try to convert it to a Sesto Elemento? Would it be possible? Has anyone done it?

You need to be able to afford an run a mark 1 gallardo first Paul, you can’t afford one an don’t know anybody that can, a decent mark 1 gallardo in manual with low miles will be near 90k at least an maintenance costs after that so you best stick to a vw golf lad
