@@echodff yes, most premium mobiles have been doing it on their flagships for the last 3-4 years. We're stuck at either low storage plus SD support, or high internal storage but no SD support, plus it seems that the high-storage ones are all getting Dual-SIM support instead

Just letting y'all know this phone is awesome. I bought the gamsir type C controller with the Dpad. It's not compatible with the phones game mode. It's locked orientation doesn't rotate. I'm guessing because of the shoulder buttons. All in all this is the best gaming phone I've ever owned. It plays Twilight princess flawlessly.
I wonder how it runs on cricket service. A lot of these phones that aren’t from the big 3 are missing Bands for ATT and T-Mobile. Beyond that a good looking phone.

Okay let me tell you something about the battery, the battery can actually last you a good day and half just normal use like social media or Netflix, I have the RedMagic 6 Pro and have been using it daily for about 2 and half months and the battery is not an issue, it charges really quick and if you get the 66w brick that comes with it, it will charge even faster, I've had my battery end up on 2% for like 20 or so minutes and it's ridiculously good, and once you plug it in, it charges in less than an 45 minutes to 100% easily, and that's without a 66w charger, I also keep my refresh rate on 90hz all the time so that's a factor in the battery lasting longer

@@LeonCamero Maybe that's because the 888 is throttling. At medium settings, it's more about sustained performance rather than raw power and the 888 can overheat quite badly.
I like the idea of active cooling built in but at the same time I'd be worried about the getting clogged up with dust and junk. Like I try to keep my phones away from messes as much as I can and still end up finding dust in ports and speakers and it drives me nuts
I would hope the manufacturer allows you to take it apart and clean it. Or at least leave enough room for a blast of compressed air to clean it and push the dust and dirt though the exhaust.
That's interesting cuz my blackshark 3 got 902/3392 on geekbench. So the SG 865 is still rocken. I get the same kind of performance with every one of those games. The performance isn't so much the 888+ as it is software optimization (that's why you get performance issues even with all that CPU and GPU). The higher end SG chips are way more than what you ever need really, but that's just it head room. My phone has 12GB Ram will I ever need 12gb, hell no but i know i will always have plenty. Oh ya and "Play!" is getting to be a good PS2 emulator (it's a work in progress).

And has 0 experience with mobile chips and Samsung is really bad with software support, android had really bad optimisation and so do most games. The one and only thing keeping me from buying this phone (and all of Red Magic's past awesome phones) is the lack of stereo front facing speakers. I can't stand bottom firing speaker(s).
The Red Magic 5 has the Snapdragon 865. The Red Magic 5S has the Snapdragon 865+ processor.... (Not the SD 888). The Red magic 6 (non pro) has the original Snapdragon 888. And the Red Magic 6 Pro has the Snapdragon 888+.

The rog 5s pro with 888+ can run fortnite at 90fps at low settings, but you tested high settings only, this should also do 60 or higher at low, and maybe if you still have the phone you can test it to confirm it
Might have a 3.5 jack, but no SD slot. 🙁 16GB RAM seems a little overkill, unless there's a desktop mode and you can multitask with it, like video/music editing. I wonder if multi-hubs with vid out, USB and SD slots will work at the same time with it. I have a multi-hubs but my Redmi Note 9S doesn't do video out. Would buy if it had a SD slot.
Actually, this apparently has DisplayPort functionality. Plus 16GB RAM isn't really overkill anymore in an era where mobile games are starting to get more demanding TBH, if there's a 512GB version, that's overkill for storage as well, which is why these manufacturers won't let us have our cake and eat it with Micro SD support.
Are you kidding? This is super cheap for a smart phone with these specs in general. Not to mention it using an amoled screen with an overkill refresh rate. I was blown away when i looked up the price of this variant. I'd rather spend the $600/$700 on this than some flagship costing $1,100+ with the same internals. Sadly you're paying roughly the same price for a gaming tablet. And that's without a headphone jack. Which this has, in a smaller phone. No, bluetooth audio especially on Android, is way too laggy for games and video
My Onn 50 bucks tablet. It's got everything I need including headphone jack and wifi. Since I'm on the go a lot if I break it, I can easily replace it. I also like RUclips, so it's good for that. I like playing turn based strategy games so this tablet works well with them. I'll have to check out an MMO and see how well it does. Also I run a business and like to check my emails to take care of my customers. Everyone is different of course and have certain requirements. I just wish people would choose wisely what they buy so that consumers get the best deals on what they want.
Has an 888+ cod mod still has only max framerate setting available hopefully they update it soon like the new iphones A15 chip there is an ULTRA frame rate setting for cod mobile that turns on 120 fps but only works with certain phones and cpus mostly on sony phones.
have you tried using exagear it's a retro PC game emulator for android it you can play old games like battle realms, warcraft 3, halflife and left 4 dead I haven't seen anyone do a video review for it

Very wary of Nubia phones after my Redmagic 6 lasted less than a month, The type C port was burning out whilst charging. Luckily I could smell the burning and unplugged it before it started a fire, God knows what would have happend if I'd left the phone charging and gone to bed. The phone is a £600 paper weight, all metal contacts in the Type C port melted completely.
You get what you pay for. This is a ZTE phone and most people only look at pricetag. It is very rare to have this kind of issues with Apple and Samsung.

I was gonna get a RM3, but ended up getting the Asus ROG 2, it still holds up today, I'd probably get the ROG 5 but red magic is looking pretty good if it's a cheaper alternative. I'm still saving for VSD.
@ETA PRIME I notice that on Antutu you seem to have an older version (v9.1.4) on the 6S Pro in comparison to the 5 (v9.1.6). I would not expect that to make a big difference in the scores but it could be a factor in the 6S Pro not having as impressive a score as you were expecting.

I bought ROG 5 (8GB) back in late March, and started using it as main drive in late April. But I have not installed a single game or emulator yet. A bit surprised to see the Rog 5 series is now updated with SD888Plus soc already.
Problem is the android os these phones have. And the camera is also pretty bad. If they improve these it would be a good buy, but rigth now its just better to get a oneplus, samsung and have a better overall experience. Because the specs dont make a phone great, only if your just focused on gaming in the phone.

A15 runs it at locked 60 , my 12pro runs it at like 50fps and 45 when it dips
The older SD model can handle genshin better than the 888 for some reason. Especially on med settings @60fps

It's capable of 66w charging but you buy the plug separately. The box comes with 30w
not buying a new phone until they start using ARM v9 CPUs, im good with my 865+. paid half price for the zenfone 7 pro 1 month after release just because someone sent it back.

Really wish I would have known about this earlier. Got the Red magic 6 Pro and it's hands down one of my favorite phones I've ever owned.
In between of the journey to 6s Pro level, there is 6r as well. Imagine in 4 months i purchased RM 6pro on May,there are 2 different models coming afterwards. Rip my wallet. 😂

I am personally waiting for the new samsung tab 8 since the 6.8 inches still seem like a small to play, I think the day they take out a good cell phone with about 7-something inches would be the right point for me

Yes it is a very good option but since I am almost at the end of the year I prefer to wait a little longer and buy one with the new generation of processors so it lasts longer.

Red magic 5 and 5S comes with Snapdragon 865 not 888. Red magic 6 and 6 pro comes with snapdragon 888. so you were doing a benchmark between Snapdragon 888+ VS snapdragon 865.
this runs games better than those pre-builts with decent specs but come with a crappy gpu like a gt 730

5700g has Vega 8, the 360 emulation recommended GPU is 7970. A Google search will tell you pretty much the Vega can't even go near the 7970.

I bought ROG 5 (8GB) back in late March, and started using it as main drive in late April. But I have not installed a single game or emulator yet. A bit surprised to see the Rog 5 series is now updated with SD888Plus soc already.

Problem is the android os these phones have. And the camera is also pretty bad.
If they improve these it would be a good buy, but rigth now its just better to get a oneplus, samsung and have a better overall experience.
Because the specs dont make a phone great, only if your just focused on gaming in the phone.

@@JoseGarcia-mi4ig yeah I am aware, but the thing is, Samsung might only put the Exynos 2200 on S22 lineup + a select few brands that dont interfere with their competition, so the chances of getting a low budget E2200 phone is very low, on the other hand we have SD898 which is rumored to be on the POCO F4 which should be ~$300
