OMG IM SO GLAD I FOUND YOUR VIDEO MAN. I HAVE BEEN SEarching and searching and went and checked my tps and that throttle and sure enough it has like 1/2 of play to it or very close. I did not notice this when i adjusted the tv cable last week it was wayyyy better but still wierd. But i can hold the throttle very very steady and accelerate the pedel very very slow (keeping tension in cable) and it shifts like butter. But if you jerk the pedal around it will do all kinds of weird shit like down shift way to early and other things. Since its letting it get slack everytime it moves back and forth no matter what Gonna replace tps and purchase those bushings as well. Hope it cures it!

Your description of the problem was exactly what I was having. Been fighting this thing for a few years, progressively getting worse. Some threads say drill out the mounting holes others say NO, adjustment is on the throttle linkage rod. Could not figure it out until I saw this video. Don't know why you'd want to come out to California, but if you do let me know, I'd like to have a couple of beers with you. Thanks

I like your video and they truly help, but I don't understand why the majority of folks do not put their parts list attached to the video to help us trying to find the right parts.

When you say “overdrive” are you referring to lockup? Overdrive is controlled manually from inside the cab. My trucks having issues slipping in and out of lockup. Wondering if this is my issue. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Hey man, I just replaced my sensor because it was the issue. However, when I installed it, I had to slightly rotate it to get it to fit in the bracket. And now it’s reading 18% throttle with no throttle input is there a way to adjust the bracket to read 0% input?

Any chance this could be my issue with a v10 with a 47re? 97. Mine runs perfect just won't shift to OD. It happened after I turned it off hauling a trailer

My 1997 Dodge 2500 diesel has no overdrive. When I put it on a computer while driving it shows it is shifting into over drive. All other gears work perfect, just no overdrive. Do you have any suggestions? Your video was very good.

@@t3dieselperformancerepair228 That plug I should check is it inside or outside of transmission. Would this also happen if my overdrive disk were worn out.

Well I'm doing pretty much the same thing except I'm watching mine from inside the truck with a verdict D7 Snap-On scanner forms were they say to take one wire in ground it to somewhere on the chassis and the other wire run to your lab scope on your Snap-On scanner or whichever you prefer that has a lab scope and do the same thing just usually have somebody inside the cab hit your throttle pedal it's actually easier then doing what you're doing that's why I'm trying to find a cars if it's worth even taking off if I'm seeing a voltage difference in millivolts when I give it throttle and let off I am seeing different fluctuations so that tells me I would think that it's working so I'm just trying to find out why you're doing this while it's actually why it is off the throttle body for what its Pacific reason why can't you just look at it in the cab and check is there a certain reason why you have to take it off and test it with a screwdriver I'm not understanding that concept
