So my truck is doing what yours is, I already replaced the cam shaft sensor, crankshaft sensor, and TPS. Fixed some wires but still having the issue. I will try this wire fix and see what it does. But what’s it supposed to do exactly? I’m lost...
The best thing that you can do is get you a noise I Slater from bd diesel I have one and it works better than the aluminum foil and rerout the ground wire across the radiator and run you a ground from the battery to the pcm with is behind the air filter that also fixes a lot of issues as will
My 1999 automatic started to do the same thing what I did to correct the problem was clean the ground to the CMU computer ground on the firewall just to the right of the air box the computer that controls the shifting set's right behind the Air filter box and you can see the ground wire that comes off to about 6- 8" over to the firewall and it cured it. Now I found the exhaust manifold starting to crack were the turbo connect's that's gonna be fun to fix😕
Need some help buddy I’m looking at a truck it won’t switch into overdrive it runs good besides that they said they put a tps in it but they said the person fixing it said they need another tps he replaced the trans not long ago
@@piemane no I have not but my guess is either tps delete? Or run a new leads for the alternator ground or try to start with the foil over the ground just to see if it helps he said he bought the truck and they had replaced the trans when he got the truck it was jumping in and out of overdrive and now it doesn’t go in but it runs perfect besides that and when he took it to the shop they said tps .. he got a new tps… and then they said he needed to get another new one … so my guess is like I said just delete the tps but the true issue is prob the alternator ground should be replaced with a good line I guess and make sure all the grounds and leads are cleaned up for the battery and all unless I’m missing something he will be sending me a vid soon I could send it to you if that’s cool … if it driving but the truck looks solid and it’s not a bad price specially if it’s just a quick fix like that
If that wires causing you problems just cut it off off off... extend it by running across the radiator you will need to slice and dice throw some rice because you will marry those wires. Slide the Jimmy over little heat and friction Oh oh Oh my Cummins... shrinker right up? mint no more frustration.

i do not man this truck is long gone. essentially it would stutter going into OD and such very annoying to deal with hahaha. almost like it would hunt for the gear and eventually catch on. some people install a Torque converter lockup switch.
This is the best intro by far lol
I’ve watched like 50 videos already on fixing different issues with my truck 💩

😂I was dying laughing I just did this to my dodge thx for the content 2024🤣 hopefully it fixes my issue aswell🤞
And best outro 😆
Loop it around your air intake it should prevent the magnetic field that your alternator creates

Its interference noise coming from the alternator to the grounding wire.
The grounding wire is not shielded. So it catches interference. You can also reroute the cable but i was too lazy honestly
I will try this tomorrow or this weekend thanks!

Have you personally ran through all the wiring to verify?

Still working? My 95 12v keeps doing it
I sold that truck but it made it better. Never completely fixed it. I would suggest re running that wire over the alternator
pie mane is your new 12v a stick shift?

pie mane nice my next one will definitely be stick shift and extended cab.
One thing you need to is clean and tighten all the clamps.
If you're talking about the battery terminals i agree
Hahahaha
Pie mane do you have a video of what it was doing before the fix? I think this is what I need in my 06 Cummins.
BTW you're funny as fuck!

Get rid of that grey plug. I did the same thing and it worked for a week lol the foil doesn't do anything.
