Well buddy your pcm is probably going out. Being a 12v it still runs but you get other issues. I currently have the same issue. Well it's accelerated. Started getting huge power draw from the "fuel pump" circuit as labeled on the inner hood fuse box. Took allot of digging but found out this is purely allocated to pcm power on the 12v. I've spade connected a toggle switch and temp routed it into the cab to stop the parasitic draw. 10 amp draw would kill my truck overnight. Covid killed replacement pcm but they are in stock now. Mines already been replaced once. So it's been an issue with previous owner. I have 530k+ miles on my clock. I have pot switch and lockup also. Thinking of going back to tps. Truck will not downshift unless I constantly play with that switch while towing. May be the switch may be the pcm sending faulty signals. Let me know how you like your pot switch
Thank you I Said the same thing all that does is screw shit up with the electronics build. The? Transmission how. It should be in duo with all this TPS and lock up bullshit. Those are just. Adding to the problem
Pin 54 is orange, and black and pink wire is pin 32, so can you tell wats the right wire pleasse bc i do ir on black and pink and i got check engine light
Yo I need to pick your Brain a bit. I have a 12v swap in my 1950 international I'm having trouble finding stuff on how to hook lock up and OD to a switch help would.be really cool
Uts bullshit it screws up all the Electronics to your PCM if you want it to run right build your transmission. That's it don't use any of this phone is stuff because you pull up a RUclips video and watch somebody that's done it that thinks it's. Cool until they burn everything up this is junk set up
There is a 3 pin connector on the side of the 47RE. The middle is 12v power with key on. The outside pins are for 4th gear and lockup. Simply tie the lockup pin to ground through a rocker switch and you're done. No need to mess with the PCM and all that.
Is it just me or is the air intake on the 12v even when stock in the dumbest possible spot in the engine compartment? We want cold air so let's put this right next to the hot turbo 😣😑
thats why the factory airbox pulls cold air from the fender... only dummies put a big ass air filter on only for looks that pulls in mostly hot air from the engine bay....
Actually yes it ran through the fender but when I put in the open intake I went from 30 lbs to 40-42 lbs when the converter is locked from it breathing so
So....😀... I thought it was pin 27.. its been a min. So he is probably right... about the lock up... you can do it In any gear. Just make sure you are moving with some rpm if you are going to do it in first. I would normally switch it mid 2nd when I have some good boost. I have turned the pump up slightly and added delivery valves..... I was able to do 55 and if there was morning dew or any wetness on the ground I could break loose with the torque converter locked up. I only had a single clutch aftermarket torque converter. It's a lot of fun with that switch. You get less slippage and get more of the power to the tires. It's nice to feel yourself being pushed I to the seat. Btw I always disengaged the switch at 40 mph. If you try to stop with it engaged you will keep moving and if you have good enough breaks it will stall and kill the motor. Fyi.
@@BuyBuildThrash understandable just wanted to make sure if anyone is looking at the comments that they get it correct I didn’t get it right the first time and cut a wire that didn’t need to be cut so I’d love if someone else could avoid that lol
I've got my Cali-life 97 12 valve and she's as solid as day one on the frame. 498,xxx miles and she's going under the knife first light to have my trans built.
It's a nice fantasy to have... But the reality is every 12v out there has had 25 or more years of every idiot breaking off every bolt, replacing every seal from the outside with a screwdriver, and it's a Dodge they put it in. So that's a big problem. Had the best known most expensive shops do everything so you think your good? Keep thinking that...and goodluck you'll need it.
When you say “we”, are we talking about ourselves in the third person? Or are we talking about your “partner” your confusing. But we do like your videos. Wish you’d get a 24 valve! All we get is puregayoramas vids about how he’s about to rebuild an hx 35 or just got done rebuilding it the same as he rebuilt it the last time he rebuilt it. Or that tranny discharged army pogue that lives in Hawaii and remakes videos by real boys on some bolt on banks parts I could install with the tool set his wife keeps under the sink faster than his intro and the sucking off everyone for subscriber segment. Thank goodness for Debossgarage to keep me half sane...
Should throw a little money at the body not just the engine .. Painting up that engine is like putting lipstick on a pig .. Your going to look out the window some day and see nothing but a little rust spot on the driveway ..
I don't get it I don't think it's worth it at all. I think it's worth building the transmission how it should be and then using it to work properly instead of using all that phony b s
Okay I have the lock up switch and the dial, but I have no info on the truck and the dial does nothing
Did you guys check your alternators ac volt output?

I’m waitin for that 6.0 startup
Talk about a rotten princess lol she's getting allot of new parts my 98 12 valve 5 speed 4x4 is jealous
How does the lockup work? Can you use it in any gear? Good for compression breaking?
Just grounds the circuit, can use it in any gear as long as your trans can hold.

What kind of paint did you use for the engine components?
Just rust oleum products! Primer, paint and clear coat
@@LeftLaneDiesels thanks 👍 I didn't know if it had to be special high-temperature paint.
Oh yea it was their 500 degree engine enamel. I didn’t see the need for the extreme heat. Seems to be holding up pretty well so far!
