No problem man enjoy! Parts are so cheap for these cars whether you go eBay or not. Makes you care less when you're beating on it haha. These motors can really handle more than we throw at them. They're stout!
Would be nice to see it on the dyno so see the real gains over stock and to calculate a hp per dollars value. Also were you able to retain the AC with the turbo set up
I agree, hopefully at some point this year I can put it on the dyno and actually find out what it's making. I deleted my AC because this is more of a project car for me and not a daily. And I don't typically use the AC anyway living in the Northeast. It can be done though. Just more difficult.

Great video brother! I'm definitely inspired to build my accord now. I did have two questions, where did you get the turbo manifold made, and what brand bov are you using?
Thanks bro! Turbo manifold is just a log manifold from eBay. Generic one. They don't crack so it's ideal. The bov is just an hks ssqv knockoff from eBay.
I've got a 98 Odyssey with the F23 SOHC VTEC in it and I'd honestly love to boost it, can we get a modern list of these kinds of parts since those listings are all almost gone?
Next time just have a machine shop hone it .010/.25mm. That'll take care of your blow-by issues. Dingle balls and 3 finger stuff that you get at the parts store cannot get the bores straight, and they can't get enough depth in the finish for the correct amount of oil to seal the rings. Decking Honda Blocks especially is normally important with the open deck design. Block guards also help, up to about 500 whp.

Basically only difference is the exhaust port spacing which means it would use a different exhaust manifold. Other than that it seems to be the same as the f22b2. Not a lot of info on it tho.
Usually stock cars recirculates with a PCV system. Aftermarket cars we usually just vent the catch can to the atmosphere with a little filter. No problem man, happy to help
ThatAccordGuy on my turbo set up I put a PCV delete filter and ran everything else normal do u think that KINDA functions like a catch can? I’m gonna get what you have, obviously good review and functional thanks man!!
Yeah essentially it does the same thing! Only issue is the potential for oil misting out of that filter when you're under boost and making your engine bay all nasty and full of oil. And if you're running big boost, then you're going to need more ventilation. I've got a video on the catch can install if you're interested!
Hard to say for sure, still trying to learn how to launch it better but rolling a few miles per hour to 60 is pretty quick. I should get someone with a stopwatch in the car haha

i bought a 96 accord about 2 months ago, it leaked from the oil pan gasket, the crank seal, and the valve cover. The spark plug seals were so bad the spark plug tubes were full of oil!! I dont even know how the engine ran. The timing belt was about to snap so I just barely replaced it and it was leaking coolant from the water pump too lmao. The car sat for a couple years im guessing because a hose has gone on me twice and the car is rusty and i dont live in an area prone to rust. Ultimate fucking sleeper 😂

Hey I'm planning to turbo my 2017 Honda Accord sport but it has a CVT transmission do you think it's worth doing? Let me know thank you and by the way your video is very informative so I'm actually thinking of going your route
Hey man that's an entirely different process on something that new. I wish I could be more helpful but I'm not familiar with boosting anything that new. You have to work out how to tune it. But CVT transmissions are notoriously not the best for holding power unless they're made for it. you're best off with a manual trans. Might not be impossible though
@@ThatAccordGuy hey I figured that thank CVT sucks!!! Thank you very much for your honesty I appreciate it once again love your thank you is the eBay turbo still doing what he needs to do did it crap out?
All depends on your budget man. If you want to do a cheap build, then yes. F22b is plenty of fun. If you've got mad cash then a turbo h22 build is way more rowdy but it will cost you!
@@hseriesonlymonctonnb1181 The auto trans from 98 to 02 are crap. Honda really boned that one. They didn't have a serviceable filter so change the damn trans fluid OFTEN. They are a crap trans. The 5 speed is bullet proof as always.

Sorry for spamming just wondering the difference between the f22b2 and f22b3 engine since I have the b3 and I’m boosting mine as well?
Basically only difference is the exhaust port spacing which means it would use a different exhaust manifold. Other than that it seems to be the same as the f22b2. Not a lot of info on it tho.
I’ve never used a catch can! I honestly don’t know what they’re for even though you explained a little something
Yeah old engines and high boost engines make a lot of crank case pressure. Need to vent that somehow or you'll blow out seals and burn oil like crazy.
Wow okay.. so like it goes from the valve cover to the catch and recirculates? Good info btw thank you very much
Usually stock cars recirculates with a PCV system.
Whats the 0-60 on that thing?
Hard to say for sure, still trying to learn how to launch it better but rolling a few miles per hour to 60 is pretty quick. I should get someone with a stopwatch in the car haha
@@ThatAccordGuy get some app on your phone
@@overratedsrtchallenger good idea haha
can you do an update on description for parts please?
I'll try to do an updated video soon man. eBay is always changing
Hey mate just wondering if you could link the turbo that you used again though a different link because it doesn’t exist on your description anymore and I don’t want to get the wrong one
rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F293341214636
This is the exact same specs. Same turbo. Don't let the Civic or VW thing throw you off. It's a standard 4 bolt t3 flange.
Hey guys first video im watching.. i have an accord aswell.. just want to know if all of this parts fit my car.
I have 2001 ck. Or at least some of them 😅. Also im fuccin subbing
Most but not all should fit. Same basic process tho! Good luck!
Ty ❤
Also fuck haha u replied 💯❤💯❤
Where can I get the ostrich? It’s discontinued as far as I’m aware
Dang that's no fun. I think I got it from pgmfi.org or something
How much was it? Time stamp?
Thanks for the info !! Nice build. Just got a sub from me
Thank you! Appreciate your support!
i bought a 96 accord about 2 months ago, it leaked from the oil pan gasket, the crank seal, and the valve cover. Ultimate fucking sleeper 😂
ay no way bro i got the f22b2 also 😂😂
So amazing that even though they're so neglected they still run and drive great. They Just don't quit! They run even better when you show them a little love. Great to hear it. Thanks for watching!
No problem man. eBay turbo still going strong! Should be painting the car shortly and turning up the boost!
@@ThatAccordGuy cool man hope you make a new video of the paint and the turn-up of the boost.
Hey man Ik this is a old video but how much did it cost all up for the build
For everything not just the turbo stuff probably under 10k including price of the car. That's paint and everything
How's it going man, I have a Honda prelude 4g with the f22b, think it's worth turboing?
All depends on your budget man. If you want to do a cheap build, then yes. F22b is plenty of fun. If you've got mad cash then a turbo h22 build is way more rowdy but it will cost you!
Would this work on an automatic to get 250+hp?
Yeah there a guy on Instagram he made 390 stock trans it didn’t last long tho @realfromangarage
@@hseriesonlymonctonnb1181 The auto trans from 98 to 02 are crap. Honda really boned that one. They didn't have a serviceable filter so change the damn trans fluid OFTEN. They are a crap trans. The 5 speed is bullet proof as always.
I tried to click the links, but it says the things are unavailable now
Sorry about that, lot has changed on eBay since I made that video. Hopefully I can make an updated one soon
i have a CD5 automatic, i want to turbo charge will this be ok?
I'd consider converting to manual. Auto probably won't hold forever
i might sound dumb but is it okay to add a turbo to a stock honda accord?
Stock motor yes. But the rest of the car needs some upgrades tho
Hey, what connecting rod bolts did you use for the rods?
Im getting a EJ2 94 civic coupe and i want to run a turbo for daily driving... do you think 260hp is too much or that is safe for daily driving?
No you’re good with 260 lol that’s a good amount actually there’s plenty of cars on the road 300 plus
@@danielcamacho8611 hmm i need to pay someone to turbo my D16 and tell me everything to look out for and things i should check everyday
Just bought a 99 accord with a f 23 if I buy a eBay turbo kit for $500 should I do that or go part by part
You may have luck with the eBay kit but there's some stuff that's junk and you definitely need more than what's in the kit to get er done.
How much turbo can the auto trans take safely and reliably?
Not entirely sure TBH man never messaged with an auto. I think it would hang in there in 5psi or something if it's a healthy one but any boost is going to shorten the lifespan on it. There's guys out there that have done it I'm sure, just not familiar.
Most of the links don't work for me sadly
Sorry bro eBay is like that. Most of the stuff is still available just under different listings. Hard to keep up. I can probably help you find something if you can't. Feel free to dm me on Instagram or something
@@ThatAccordGuy I gotcha. I will for sure if I need anything! Mainly just wanted the BOV, gauges, boost controller, and ECU. I'm looking to do 400-500 with an F22, with all of the supporting mods
Can I get a link to the video of the injector thing you mentioned
ruclips.net/video/2plu6j6NE4M/видео.html
There ya go
I have ah 95 ex accord it's very clean but bone stock its aromatic but I want to out ah small turbo were should I start
Gotta be honest not sure how long the auto trans will hold up with a turbo. It might quit on you. You might start with a 5 speed trans swap.
@@ThatAccordGuy you know the best exhaust system for a 95 accord ex w/ a 5 speed manual and a f22b1? whats ur opinion ab lowered suspension by 1 inch, changed ECU, and new headers?
Yeah you'll definitely wake it up with headers and a tune! It wont be too fast but it will sound fast haha
Don't have much experience with exhaust systems just an eBay one and now a straight pipe but sounds different with a turbo.
@@ThatAccordGuy For sure. I was thinking of doing a H22A swap as well. I’m not tryna be insanely fast but at least something that will be underestimated by looks but not internals 🔥🔥🔥
Not a bad idea to build a motor on the side and then drop her in when the time comes. H22 accords rip even stock!
Time 18:20 $1441 in basic parts, $555 in optional upgrades.
Yeah less work with a supercharger but definitely less parts to buy. Probably going to be at least 1k or more for the blower.
Jdm swapped my cd7 any turbo setups for a f23a that are any good
I’d always build my own kit.
@@ThatAccordGuy good to know what ecu do u use on your fseries
Chipped p28 I’m running
Lol "without further to do"
Would this apply to a f23a vtec engine too?
Yeah man mostly all the same stuff will be needed. Only thing different might be the turbo manifold
Can I put that system on my accord being automatic?
Might have a tough time holding the power. Automatic transmissions won't hold as much as a manual. Might be okay on a few lbs if it's a healthy trans
@@ThatAccordGuy how much boost u putting out and how much hp u making
I stay around 10-15psi I'm currently trying to regulate boost lol. Wastegate is broken. Never put it on a Dyno. Probably 200-250 horse tho
Are you using stock fuel rail with adjustable fpr ? If so is arm worth it ?
I'm on stock fuel rail with stock fuel pressure regulator actually. Haven't had any issues at this power level whatsoever.
If I was shooting for big power I'd upgrade the rail and FPR with AEM stuff yeah.
ThatAccordGuy thank you , your channel has been very helpful
ThatAccordGuy did you use stock map sensor? Or 3 bar?
@@Darrenlawrence89 I was running a stock map sensor. Reads up to 11 psi. Just upgraded to a 4 bar. Have not retuned and driven yet. Now I can turn up to like 45 if I wanted. Lot of overkill. But it fits the stock location
ThatAccordGuy I really appreciate you answering my questions, hopefully this is last question , should I get chrome or hondata?
Do you think this is worth doing on a F23A1?
Absolutely! If I ever blow this motor I'll probably swap an f23a1 in mine haha
What does your afr stay at in boost
I try to target around 11.5 afr in boost.
Do you have link to down pipe
The downpipe I made myself. It's a tight fit and there isn't really a premade one for this car unfortunately
update links pls
would this work on a fb221?
Yessir they're essentially the same engine just the b1 has vtec. Which doesn't do much for these engines other than some fuel mileage. Little tougher to tune but it's all the same otherwise.
Don’t listen to everything you hear yes you can make power with a log my car made 200 whp by changing to a top mount on the same boost went from 300 whp to 500 just by letting it breath don’t go hondata use Honda tunning suit it’s amazing compared to chrome
Would love to go top mount someday man. I'm sure flow does make a big difference. Currently running honda tuning suite and it's everything that I need! Crome is no longer an option tbh lol.
How long did it last?
The car? Still have it. Hasn’t blown up yet
Where did you order you’re internals?
Motor internals are all stock
What type of motor is that?
It's an f22b2
Ok thanks
Is that the f22 block?
Yessir. F22B2
What phone stand is that?
To be honest I don't know what brand. Got it as a 3m stick on one from Amazon if you're talking about the one in the car.
Thanks for sharing
What's the HP on this car and the torque?
Never been on a Dyno sorry. But I estimate 200 to 250 on 10 psi
@@ThatAccordGuy sweet I have a 95 honda I just bought not sure if I should turbo it or not
It's a different car now. Really woke it up. It's not going to beat corvettes and hellcats but it is really fun to drive at this power level.
@@ThatAccordGuy doesn't the 1995 accord vtec come with 200hp from factory?

@@ThatAccordGuy yeah, i buy durrito's from walmart. are they walmart chips or durrito's? The parts ebay sells have brand names on them. good or bad. calling them ebay parts is just a way to get views. You can buy top tier parts from ebay. I bought my ball bearing 60mm from ebay. Had a brand name. but when you ignore the actual company that makes it and just label it EBAY, its a shitty, lazy freaking way to get views
Thanks for the advice man. Do you think I should make more videos with the intent to not get views? Doesn't seem too lucrative IMO
The whole eBay parts thing is just to demonstrate that you can buy cheap parts on the internet, and make your car fast and reliable. You don't have to spend 20 grand on name brand stuff. However I get you to watch the video doesn't matter in the end LOL

Not sure on the f22a6 man but there's forged internals for my motor. F22B2. Might be same bore and stroke. Cheap eBay stuff or bisimoto. Or you have custom stuff made. It can be done tho. Runs pretty reliably on 10 psi tho stock internals with just studs. I've had it at 15 but only for a little. Still together!

Is it possible to put a turbo on a 2007 honda accord?
I'm sure that it is, but unfortunately I don't have any experience and am not the person to ask. Not sure what you'd be tuning it with that would be your biggest concern.
Will this work for k24 accord 8th gen?
You can turbo a k24 and make really good power. But the process is much different with that engine.
