Del is AWESOME, dude is running a STAGE 4 Comp clutch. He makes good content and takes the time to answer my questions on facebook in an accord group. One hell of a guy!
I had one of these back in high school and I remember it fondly. The F22 engine had enough torque to just dump the clutch at a stop and get going without stalling. The Civics I had afterwards needed revved a little to overcome inertia. I was young and dumb and slapped a Apex exhaust that was found lying in the street on it. Probably sounded like shit but I love it. Subwoofers, a touchscreen radio, and pink HID headlights rounded off what I did to that poor thing. It kept going for easily a decade after I finally sold it.
If he needs the heater on to keep it cool, he likely just needs better ductwork and maybe a front air damnright behind the radiator to help make a low pressure area right behind the radiator to keep it cool. Could also be cheap junk fans if it’s getting hot at idle…. The cheap fans rarely (if ever) have the cfm of the stock fans.
About ten years ago I built 271 whp 89 Shelby Daytona. 3,800 all in including the car. It ran constant 12.70's on street tires ( I was afraid to run slicks) and did 45,000 trouble free miles before I sold it where I made 1,200$. I would get another turbo Mopar but the cars and parts are getting expensive and hard to come by.
I have a neighbor with a black and gold 85 Daytona that's in excellent condition...it hasn't moved an inch in the seven and a half years I've lived next to him.

Just stop looking at the wheel, it's what I did with a ton of slop and a bad enough alignment to change lanes in 2 seconds if I let off the wheel. By second 3 I'm in the ditch
I scored an 85 sei. Going to swap pump/injectors, obd1 swap, and send it on the automatic with low boost quick spool. I bought a used mosselman cast turbo manifold. With the leather, a/c, p/s, it should be an awesome little classic cruiser. If anything fails I will probably just buy an a20 and manual transmission because the chassis seems to be in great shape.
I had a ‘93 Accord EX coupe 4 years ago. I’ve always loved this body style! Only had 137k and I was the third owner. Man I miss that car. As far as reliability I think it might be the best engine Honda ever made. I wanted to do a motor swap but it never happened. This car is awesome!
I know we have all of these safety regulations but I still wish that the new Accord had proportions like that. For a design that hit the streets around 35 years ago, it has aged quite gracefully.
I bought a running '08 manual TSX this summer for $800. My 1st moves this winter will be addressing the cooling issues that come with a 300 whp build. Then I will beef up the transmission and diff. Honda people rarely have the patience to prepare for all the extra heat that comes with extra power.

Love it! I love the 90s accords. They drove nice. And I really feel the original point of “hot rodding” a car is to be faster than the richer guy’s car for less money. If you spend BMW money on your Honda or 911 money on your BMW then you’ve missed the point.
I bought a beat up cb7 and only had it for a few months. Swapped with an H22 it was fun while it lasted. Most rememberable thing about the car was the huge dash.
These are my favorite kind of builds, much prefer seeing what someone is capable of doing with a lot of knowledge and little bit of money versus the other way around.
Those simple 4-lug wheels are one of my favorite sets of Honda wheels ever. I think they're stock on the 6th gens while this is a 4th. I'd put them on a CD5.
I had a 91 honda accord and swapped a jdm motor in it and it was pretty quick for a stock motor. Wish I could have turbo charged it. My first car ever was a 89 honda accord lxi. I loved that car so much. Had the pop up lights and everything
8:04 i remember making a pull with my 91 EF hatch with a full bottle @ 1,200 PSI and a 100 horse shot pill setup. It made 167 horses on the GROUND. I waxed ALL Mustang GT's...ALL Nissan 350Z's...ALL Hyundai V6 Tiburon's. It was good times back then 😂😂 She's retired now, just a weekend cruiser.
The owner is a cool dude. I have a somewhat similar build. Built h22a1 no swap in my 93 prelude vtec. Gt35 turbo that cost 280 $... e85 ,stage 2 cams, jdm lsd and thr exterior is completely stock besides a mugen front bumper that looks oem +... twin disc clutch
That car had double wishbone suspension. It handles better than even the 9th gen Coupes. The 10th and 11th gen Accords dont really matter anymore. But to handle better than the legendary 9th gen coupes is INSANE!
That is a 1993 Honda Accord which did initially ship with an F22 and power steering. CB7's usually are swapped with an H22 from a Prelude, and usually in a two door. The F23 really is basically the F22 architecture, and as such, isn't really built for FI. Now, I will say for $200, I think the builder is withholding some parts from the build price: The turbo itself was probably $200... along with over $1000 for other parts around the turbo (be they bought or fabricated) and tuning. Regardless, a 350whp F23? Unless the block is built, I cannot see this engine surviving too many WOT pulls. That said, I had one of these when I was younger, so I definitely appreciate the build.
This reminds me of my first car it was a turboed 99 civic with a super similar build and I've had SO many 'werid' sporty cars a 2005 neon sxt, a 2001 intrepid RT, a 03 monte carlo, an 04 grand am gt with a full exhaust, intake and zzp sport goodies a couple old grand cherokees (99) and a (05) ,then a 2015 Dodge dart, just sold our '15 Mitsubishi lancer rallieart. Now I wanna do some stuff to our 2018 f150 Ecoboost 🎉 The only cars the equals my civic in the amount of fun is that Ecoboost and that rallieart. It's hard to beat the fun you have in a turbo honda
I used to have a 90 cb7 with an h22 swap tuned by crome and plenty other goodies. Ive slowly owned more and more expensive cars currently on a 23 m8 comp gc had an 2021 fk8 also in 2022 just got fun but ill tell you guys i still miss my old cb7 to this day comfiest car ever and fun.
I just bought a Base model Rsx for 450$, its auto and im gonna manual swap it on my driveway because i dont have a garage or much tools. But im going to try to make some power out of the base model K20, with a ebay turbo. Does anyone have any tips or ideas so i can make reliable power with it??
If it’s the k20a3 then maybe build up the head , otherwise ep3 trans for budget and maybe upgrade injectors. If you blow it up worse case you go to the yard and pick another one up. Personally I would maybe try for a k24a2 out of a TSX then send it but the k20a3 isn’t bad either for getting into things. If you also don’t want to do much to the engine then go with a decent suspension and maybe wider tires , GOODLUCK with the build tho fr 🫡
Have a cb7 accord coupe with an h22 and absolutely love it. Amazing video and awesome seeing drivenfilms cb7 after finding his channel couple months ago.
15 years and 6 different cars since i owned a Cb7 and i still regret selling it. crazy reliability from those f motors.. bring back pop-out quarter glass
I have a ninety two as my first car two door put a ebay three hundred dollar turbo kit and a intercooler from an audi Other than that it had everything stock so much fun and it takes a lot of beating and then some to blow up a single cam .Still drive it every day, but the Turbo's gone now For practicality these things have gone so much up in Value Here in North Carolina for being a budget build .Never getting rid of it Got it when I was 15, 27 years old now.😂
I bought my CB7 in 2011 and still driving it today. Very dependable car, I haven’t done anything crazy with it since every time I start investing into it it gets stolen which is the only downside to these cars. They’re very easy to steal.

I bought a beat up cb7 and only had it for a few months. Swapped with an H22 it was fun while it lasted. Most rememberable thing about the car was the huge dash.
I’m glad to see the CB7 get some love
best honda ever made! these things were built to prove a point! i daily one right now and i love it
CB7 wagon was the family car growing up. Always kept SPOTLESS!!
Cb7 is easily the most slept on Honda platform
These are my favorite kind of builds, much prefer seeing what someone is capable of doing with a lot of knowledge and little bit of money versus the other way around.
Those simple 4-lug wheels are one of my favorite sets of Honda wheels ever. I think they're stock on the 6th gens while this is a 4th. I'd put them on a CD5.
Great review as per usual. Gotta shout out J Mills Tuning for real. Him and Dell got that car DIALED in for that power in that chassis
One of the most Underrated builds 🔥💯
I had a 91 honda accord and swapped a jdm motor in it and it was pretty quick for a stock motor. Wish I could have turbo charged it. My first car ever was a 89 honda accord lxi. I loved that car so much. Had the pop up lights and everything
Love the budget builds. Keep 'em coming!
I used to terrorize the freeways in my 91 4dr CB7 W/H22 in the early 2000's CB7's 4 life!!!
It was good times back then 😂😂
She's retired now, just a weekend cruiser.
Hampshire Green EX Coupe was awesome when new, and I would love to have a low mileage one today! Timeless.
I just checked Facebook, Chicago area, there is a clean OEM one for sale…. Listed for $3 grand!!!!! 120,000- 140,000 miles
Your gonna make the price of these go up
I had a 93 accord that looked exactly like that, and I always wanted to make it a cheap sleeper. I love this car 😂
Damn, this was cool. My dad had a dark Blue version when I was a kid. I memorized the little patterns in the upholstery seats on road trips.
The Hx trans with a decent size turbo d16z6 in a 91/95 civic is a highway beast
The owner is a cool dude. I have a somewhat similar build. Built h22a1 no swap in my 93 prelude vtec. Gt35 turbo that cost 280 $... e85 ,stage 2 cams, jdm lsd and thr exterior is completely stock besides a mugen front bumper that looks oem +... twin disc clutch
I did buy a honda accord for $800.00 back in 2010. I bet the guy I sold it to a year or so later is still driving that beast.
Love these videos, they’re almost a throw back.
One of the best Honda's ever made! Wish I could find another rust free coupe one day
This reminds me of my first car it was a turboed 99 civic with a super similar build and I've had SO many 'werid' sporty cars a 2005 neon sxt, a 2001 intrepid RT, a 03 monte carlo, an 04 grand am gt with a full exhaust, intake and zzp sport goodies a couple old grand cherokees (99) and a (05) ,then a 2015 Dodge dart, just sold our '15 Mitsubishi lancer rallieart. Now I wanna do some stuff to our 2018 f150 Ecoboost 🎉
The only cars the equals my civic in the amount of fun is that Ecoboost and that rallieart. It's hard to beat the fun you have in a turbo honda
Love my cb7s and definitely digging the 2 wagos i just found. I'm getting close to being done with my cb7 se build. From rat's nest to shine ✨️
Hell yeah my white CB7 squad. Mine is an all-motor F20B tho. Fun cars for sure man
Had one in the 90s paid a lot more than 800$ mine was a 93 ex 2 door I was happy just making around 200 and that was pushing the f22a
I used to have a 90 cb7 with an h22 swap tuned by crome and plenty other goodies. Ive slowly owned more and more expensive cars currently on a 23 m8 comp gc had an 2021 fk8 also in 2022 just got fun but ill tell you guys i still miss my old cb7 to this day comfiest car ever and fun.
It's good to see more budget stuff coming out
Awesome sleeper build 💯👍👍👍
#1-Trap whip since 1988. I've owned, and pigs took, my 1988, 1989, 1994 4dr, and recently my 1994 DX coupe.
Dope ass video! Good job with this one David 👏🏽👏🏽
If you also don’t want to do much to the engine then go with a decent suspension and maybe wider tires , GOODLUCK with the build tho fr 🫡
dell is one of my favorite creators and focuses on the f series
I always wanted to do an H22 swap in my 93 Accord coupe 5 speed. But then I bought a 2003 TL-S and that satisfied my power craving.
That car in its stock form was actually really decent in manual. I remember riding in one and the smell of that oil triggers some nostalgia
I love these cars for some reason, haven't seen one for sale recently... which has kept me from making poor financial decisions
I have a ninety two as my first car two door put a ebay three hundred dollar turbo kit and a intercooler from an audi Other than that it had everything stock so much fun and it takes a lot of beating and then some to blow up a single cam .Still drive it every day, but the Turbo's gone now
For practicality these things have gone so much up in Value Here in North Carolina for being a budget build .Never getting rid of it Got it when I was 15, 27 years old now.😂
ive been waiting a while for this video to come out
I bought my CB7 in 2011 and still driving it today. Very dependable car, I haven’t done anything crazy with it since every time I start investing into it it gets stolen which is the only downside to these cars. They’re very easy to steal.
