f23a heads share a valve with the j30a1, j30a4/5 are +1mm larger valves (30/35mm) that can be cut into the f23a head with ease. also f23a shares a valve spring with J30a1 so you can use J32A2 valve springs in the f23a head. with j30a4's 35/30mm valves and port work you can hit 300 cfm with ease. Also j30a1/4/5 pistons fit in F23A blocks along with the commonly know k20 pistons fitting. JNA1 hybrid J30 has the best pistons to use with H22 heads being that they are + dome and the valve relifes are the same size. but don't sleep on the F23A head, just use J series Valvetrain in it and port it.
@@franciscodeandradejr yes, the j30a4 valves will need to be machined. you only need the j32a2 springs. you can use j32a2 valves as a +2mm upgrade but only the intake valve is larger. exhaust is still 30mm.
A video tutorial of this work for the f23 head would be very good and very helpful, there are many of us who have an accord with that engine and we want to improve it, but we do not resign ourselves to placing an f22 head and losing the vtec and having to change all the intake and ignition system, we want to do it with what we have and we know that it can be better only that nobody has given the task of doing it and I think that the f23 is a good low cost engine and that it could be excellent to improve if they existed more high-performance accessories

@@ThmsPtrsn yeah ive read a bunch of stuff about it but never built one. I think it would be cool if badguys built one. id like to see what their porting could do
@tim m yes you are right, but that's ported. Port the f23 head and it will be better. Yeah it's like a Vtec-E head etc etc, I would still choose it over a F22 head regardless of what Bisi says or whatever. Someone should actually build a real G series motor. G25A 5 cylinder from the old Acura TL...would be the ultimate in baller SOHC. Inline 5 sounds so awesome turning some revs.
Bud Yeddi yes, with enough rpm, a inline 5 will basically sound like an even fire V10, since they have the same cylinder timing. Now those odd fire V10’s...that’s a whole different kettle of fish in the sound department.
