I guess the paper its like the Etch-A-Sketch toy. It has metal dust in between the the sheets of transparent plastic. The paper it self is not magnetic.

It’s funny coming back to this now, iOS 12 definitely held back a lot for what the 2018 iPad Pro could do, but now with more updates like iPadOS out it’s almost everything you could ask for. I’m still rocking the 2018 iPad Pro 11in and it is still amazing, don’t really have a need to upgrade right now
Only reason an upgrade is worth is for upgraded stage manager or if you need more ram for Procreate or something

@@JonathanTogard i would say its worth it, buy the latest iPad pro and it’ll last you for a good while, the m2 chips is a very powerful processor that even the most user intense app is not enough to slow down the iPad much, i have used my iPad for pretty much everything a normal laptop can handle

That is extremely unrealistic because the iPad pro is nearly as powerful as the i9 MacBook pro 15 and in an extremely thin frame. As well as the fact that apple keeps stuff this powerful at least over $1.5k so Id think $600 is possible for the 11 inch. Where its at rn is more reasonable.

Hey Marques, you actually can go into your RUclips account on Safari. Press and hold the refresh button and choose "Request Desktop Site." From there you get the same page as a Mac. Hope this helps, I know I didn't know about that feature for quite some time.

Magnet paper has been around for a while have you never put iron filings on a plastic sheet and put it over a magnet I done that like my first year of secondary school/high school
Apple wants you to buy an iPad AND a MacBook, not just one of them. That is why I doubt Apple will go into making the iPad (and iOS) so that it can actually replace a laptop. No mouse/trackpad support, no support for external storage, no multi-user. If these do not come with iOS 13 next year, then you can be sure Apple will not go that way before many years. Not before Apple is ready to dump the portable Mac completely. The Mac period. And that will not come soon. You will have Apple ARM Macs someday, and iOS apps that will run in macOS, but you will never have macOS run on an iPad. This would be "suiciding" the Mac from Apple.
Wrong. If you really need MacOS, there is no need to buy an iPad. Macbooks are incredibly portable. This Apple greed argument makes zero sense. You are a hater. Simple. What iPad does, it does like no other device. And that means running iOS on a big screen with multi-tasking. And now yeah, superb games and Photoshop.

Paul Van Obberghen I feel like right now, if anyone was in the market for a Mac book or Mac book air, they could easily save 400-700 dollars and buy the baseline iPad Pro 11 inch or the budget iPad Apple introduced at the education event or even last years 10.5 inch iPad Pro.
The average consumer in the market for a 600$-800$ notebook is more than likely looking for a machine to complete basic tasks such as:
-editing word documents
-editing excel sheets
-consuming digital media
-light photo or video editing
-checking email
-making power point presentations
-using social media
All of these things can easily be performed on this years and last years iPads. Sure you might have to adapt to a slightly different work flow and buy a Bluetooth keyboard if you’re doing a ton of writing. Maybe you need a very specific desktop app for work that has no replacement on the iPad, that’s understandable too. However with the Microsoft office suite Available, the google work suite available, apples own document editing software available, and now a few adobe apps being ported over, its easier than ever for most people to replace their plastic 400$-700$ “netbook” with an iPad.
I agree with your point that Apple won’t give users a desktop experience on the iPad anytime soon because it could cannibalize their MacBook and MacBook Air sales, maybe even the 13 inch MacBook Pro sales... and that really sucks! I’d love it if it was apples product lineup consisted of iPad pros and MacBook pros only, cutting out the lower end notebooks and replacing them with iPads is the future. Unfortunately with the big MacBook Air refresh it’ll be another few years before that happens, like you said.
I kind of babbled on for a while but initially reading your comment AND watching MKBHD’s review I just wanted to point out that Apple isn’t necessarily gunning for iPads to replace MacBook pros and other 1500$-2000$ laptops yet. Right now they’re aiming for netbooks and sub 1000$ laptops. To me they’ve already done a superb job of getting their iPads to replace most of the products in that segment, which is an accomplishment and a big step towards iPads replacing laptops all together!
OB3 STA Basically, you are saying that Apple’s hardware is really good and hence they are greedy? MacOS is a different platform with a UI designed to be used with a keyboard and a trackpad, to do other things. Do you have any clue what it’s gonna take to run MacOS with touch, especially since Apple is so uncompromising on user experience.Also, Apple’s processors are designed for iOS. Just because Apple has gotten really good at it, doesn’t mean you run MacOS on it. It means to push iOS to do more, and that doesn’t mean that it needs to be like MacOS. There’s AR and content creation and what not that can be done so well on an iOS device with a big screen. MacOS is a desktop OS. Don’t be confused here. iOS replacing a laptop is not the same as iOS replacing MacOS or Windows.

IOS should be strictly for iphone since an iphone running MacOS would be slow as shit and difficult to use. Im not saying they're greedy because they have good hardware im saying they're greedy because they sacrifice user interface and productivity to keep their pockets fat. If you ever used the early iOS versions you would know it has been inching its way since before the iPhone 3GS. Back in the day, I had to jailbreak for simple things like "folders" or a right click option. A light version of MacOS is iOS.

They need to make a proper OS that gives users full advantage of traditional computing devices.
