If you're using a one strap bag try switching to a double strap back pack to help you out & take stress of your right shoulder.
Any thoughts on 10.15.4 and apps/dev's still using kernel extensions when they are destined for the garbage can of history come 10.15.5?
Please test Ram Management in Safari and also for apps open in the background to see if the extra RAM is exclusively for the cameras or it actually allows for any improvement in that field.

Thermal cooling, camera, lidar sensor, slightly better battery, better cpu, and more. I had the 2018 iPad Pro and now I have the 2020 iPad Pro, the 2020 is much better. For example when i’m in games it’s so much smoother and faster and doesn’t get that heated up as the 2018 iPad Pro.
@@no1301 worse battery for the 11", it's literally smaller also 4th gen is heavier.. no night mode no portrait mode even tho it literally has a lidar, my 200$ phone can do both of those extremely well with gcam so apple has no excuse for calling a device with an iPhone 8 camara a "pro" camera system then not even give it rear portrait mode even tho it literally has a lidar sensor
Night the moon my ipad pro 11 inch lasts all day and can go to the next day and it has portrait mode idk abt the night mode though but its really good on doing abt everything. also no duh its gonna be smaller than the 12 inch bc its 11 inches what logic is that? and no duh the 12 inch is gonna be heavier bc its bigger.
@@no1301 i mean the 4th gen 12.9" is heavier than 3rd gen 12.9", 3rd gen 11" has a bigger battery than 4th gen 11", they have front portrait mode but they don't have rear portrait mode on objects even tho they have a lidar which is ridiculous, if anything the ipad pro should have perfect portrait mode on anything cuz of the lidar, the iphone 12s will have perfect lidar because of it along with many other camera features

If you’re a student, you can pretty much get the 2020 model for a similar price as the 2018 models.

Good getting a 2018 with a case a Apple Pencil for 450 of the marketplace definitely a good buy
No cursing, no overreacting, clear enunciation, and a baby. You got my like and my sub. With that said, I guess if i have to upgrade from my iPad Pro 9.3", i'd probably still go with the iPad Pro 2020 given the relatively same price range with the 2018. You are right though, if the iPad Pro 2018 256gb goes down to around $650, then yup, that's the way i'm going with. Thanks for a very informative review. We all need a little escape from the reality of the world today.

At release, he weighed 8 and a half pounds and was 21.5” tall. He’s probably around 11 pounds now. Eats all the time. Likes long walks on the beach and tub time. :)

I have the original iPad Pro 12.9 2016 version and upgraded to the iPad Pro 12.9 2020 and noticed a big difference as no home button, has faceID which is a big plus. I love the new version compared to the first one.

You should test the RAM difference. You could test the number of background apps you can keep open, or how many layers Photoshop can handle.
They have the same amount of ram
Also testing layer limit is much easier on procreate since it mentions it beforehand

I got My 2018 IPad Pro 12.9, Apple Pencil and case for $800 Canadian. I got mine from a guy selling it, perfect condition and I got it a few months after it released. It’s been perfect since then.
This was a helpful video. Finally a reviewer that showed the sound and didn't assume all of us have used or know about the 2018 iPad pro. I currently have an over two year old Google Pixelbook.

I bought one at a pawn shop the 12.9 inch with cellular data for 300 bucks. I already have a 11 inch and it was such a great deal I had to buy it it’s in our perfect shape no scratches or any damage and it has a screen protector, I already checked the 2021 iPad Pro out but I know that they should have a redesign within a year so whenever that comes out I will get that to keep everything fresh but it definitely is a good deal

I'm not a gamer nor do video editing. I use my iPad for watching videos, surfing the internet, and some word processing. I just sold my 2018 model and got the 2020 version. Can't tell the difference for what I do. I never got close to using all of the 64 gb storage.

@@LuisSubauste1 That's refurbished. And you miss out on the memory and the RAM, which is a big deal if you play games or run loads of apps. You also miss out on some of the features like better audio quality and better AR for things like the Measure app. Lastly, you miss out on the extra year of updates. Are all these really a worthy sacrifice to make for just $200 - which, over 5 years, translates to $40 a year? I wouldn't say so.
@@maxkho00 Refurbished by Apple is basically new, the case and the battery are changed, only thing that is different is the box and the cheaper price, comes with same warranty as new and option to add apple care.
I just got the 2018 iPad Pro refurbished from Apple. A damn good decision imo, it’s still good to use for at least the next 3/4 years.

Very good and informative video thank you! This video basically says that both iPad pros are pretty much the same other then the Memory. Its not worth upgrading to in my opinion until a newer model with a new A13 chip comes out. Only thing worth getting right away is the new keyboard it looks awesome!

Honestly pretty disappointed in the new iPad Pro. I have the 2018 model and the 2020 is just barely better. The upgrades for the 2020 compared to the 2018 model are pretty useless for my use case.
Here’s hoping that the next iPad Pro is actually innovative. I’d love to see a micro-LED screen, better speakers, 12GB RAM, better front facing camera (video conferencing/facetime), better screen resolution, and renegotiation with Google over their video codec for RUclips 4K support. Now that would be worth upgrading for.
Team 2018! The 2018 is still an amazing machine in mid-2021 it’s unreal. Love this thing. The 2020 is a beast itself too tho.

As a Field Engineer. I owned the very first iPad that came out. Carried all the Piping 3 D drawings and , allowed me to check out process systems. Today I own an 2018 IPad Pro and been happy with it. Would I buy the this new one.?
I’m retired now so No, but today the most useful thing on their is the LIDA, now we can look at field stuff in Construction in more depth and detail, the Cameras don’t mean much to me , but that LIDA would certainly make a Big difference, and the Company would pay anyway. So I’m going to replace my IPad Pro with the great deals on the present iPad Pro, this won’t shift me to the 2020 model

Just upgraded my iPad 2018 to the 2020 and the WiFi speed is a huge difference with that new WiFi 6. Needed the extra space that was the main reason for upgrading.

So for those looking for a quick summary...
The weights differ but the diff. is negligible. The display on the 2018 iPad models and the 2020 iPad models is exactly the same - but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. They’re not the highest-resolution displays out there, but they look great, and graphic designers and video editors should have no problems with them.
My opinion : The 2018 iPad Pro is still worth buying if you can find it for $700 or less. It's very powerful and matches the 2020 model in many ways. The upcoming Magic Keyboard with Trackpad supports it, too. So yeah right now the price of iPad pro 2018 has gone down and basically most of us don't use that many camera's lol. To conlude , I'll just go with iPad 2018. BUT you might have another point of view and I respect that 😁

Nothing but the size changes so it depends on what you want. If you don’t mind it being less portable, then I’d say go for the 12.9” for sure especially since it’s got cursor support now. The main downside is that it’s $200 more expensive and also not as easy to carry around. -Vadim
@@MaxTechOfficial most windows Chromebooks and 2&1 convertibles are the same display size and weigh between 2-3 pounds. Everybody including the reviewers write how portable they are. I don't think on something so light as the iPad that even at the larger size, anyone should worry about portability. It's more a question of one hand versus two. What I haven't been able to find is the weight of the upcoming magic keyboard and whether that will still contain the total weight to an equivalent Chromebook or windows 2&1. For me that will be critical.

Upgraded from a 2018 and i can see a difference in the snapiness...there are also a lot of apps that work very differently on the 2020 iPad pro versus the 2018 sitting on my desk as i type this with the magic keyboard 2.
