Only in America will you find this sort of commemorative rememberance, displaying how much the people of the US appreciate what their boys and girls in the armed services give to their country. I was so fortunate a few years ago as to visit relations who had emmigrated to the US from the UK in North Carolina. Whilst there, I met with many ex servicemen and women, when I visited USS N Carolina at Wilmington and USS Yorktown at Patriot Point. The pristine condition that both of these ships were in, reflected the pride and reverance you maintain in your history, and the considerable hard work put in 24/7/365 by ex crew members and enthusiasts each year. We here in the UK just scrap our old ships for the cash, leaving nothing beind but photographs, use them for target practice or simply sink them for diving on. There is very little pride in this country left any more, other than in the Mary Rose (half a wooden hull) Victory, Warrior and Cutty Sark., maybe a couple more around the country, but certainly not the wealth of ships the US has retained for future generations. Well Done America!!!!

My grandpas were in the airforce and navy, my grandpa from the navy wants Anchors Aweigh played at his funeral and i will remember that. They are amazing and i love them so much.

My dad was WWII NAVY SEABEES , (and hubby army vietnam) This song brings tears to my eyes whenever they start the NAVY song. Even when I played the trumpet for 20 years in my local community band. Pride playing my dad's trumpet, and as I got older, choking up when I got to that section after he had passed on. 10 years ago. I no longer play, but this still moves me. Thank you.

Thank you Marlene and our country needs prayers right now as we are in peril from within. I only wish more Americans knew what I believe is going to happen at some point in our near future. We will need all patriots for the cause of freedom and to save the America we know and love.
Day is done, gone the sun, from the Lakes from the hills from the sky, all is well, safely rest, God is nigh. Fading light, Dims the sight, And a star Gems the sky Gleaming bright, From afar, Drawing nigh, Falls the night. Thanks and praise, For our days, Neath the sun, Neath the stars, Neath the sky, As we go, This we know, God is nigh."
I have always enjoied this medley. To see the services repsented with thier official song, and seeing the current soldiers standing with the veterans who served before them. And this is from a 3rd generation US Army Veteran! Grandfather in WWI, Father in WWII, older brother at the end of the Vietnam era. And then myself during Desert Storm. And even now a couple of cousins serving to this day. A very long and proud history!
I had members of my family in the army. Two of my uncles died at the eastern front, another uncle was traumatised at the age of 16 (eastern front, too). There was no glory or patriotism in there and they were no volunteers.
I together with my seven sons and grandson watched this posting 5 times and enjoyed it. Thank you for this episode. Inspiring and full of pride. God bless America!
Was in KMC in 1972 so love and proud of our nation and song Still get goosebumps also In air Force Not sure what song I like the best Here we are on 2020 still love America

That was wonderful to watch. I thought it was going to be the whole concert! My husband was a color guard in Germany. He carried the big flag with all the streamers because it’s heavy. I am so moved by this and I can’t help my tears to fall. I love this country. I am privileged to be an American and I’m very grateful to our military and to our heroes who died for us to afford us our freedom. 🇺🇸❤️🙏
Thank you Marlene and our country needs prayers right now as we are in peril from within. I only wish more Americans knew what I believe is going to happen at some point in our near future. We will need all patriots for the cause of freedom and to save the America we know and love.
Day is done,
gone the sun,
from the Lakes from the hills from the sky,
all is well, safely rest, God is nigh.
Fading light,
Dims the sight,
And a star Gems the sky Gleaming bright,
From afar, Drawing nigh, Falls the night.
Thanks and praise,
For our days,
Neath the sun, Neath the stars, Neath the sky,
As we go, This we know, God is nigh."

Awesome 👍
This is beautiful! I'd never seen all the verses, only the first -- thank you!
John Nelson
We thank your entire family including you for protecting our liberty and our security
John Nelson I'm actually a gaurd for the statue of liberty! I love it there I always will I will do it till the day I die
I had members of my family in the army. Two of my uncles died at the eastern front, another uncle was traumatised at the age of 16 (eastern front, too). There was no glory or patriotism in there and they were no volunteers.

My late grandfather served in The Marines I believe. These are the kind of things that they appreciate. Our dance team does a tribute to the troops at the end of every performance. Thanks to ALL who have served, is serving, and who have lost their lives serving. God Bless

That was wonderful to watch. I thought it was going to be the whole concert! My husband was a color guard in Germany. He carried the big flag with all the streamers because it’s heavy. I loved watching them practice but never got to watch any official ceremonies. God Bless all our wonderful service men and woman.
