    *By functional I mean you can comfortably swing or carry it **bestgym.equipment** around as one would expect of a kettlebell weight. By versatile I mean the protective coating does not prevent attaching magnetic micro-plates to increase the weight, so, for example, a 35 pound kettlebell can be increased by up to 5 pounds in weight or possibly a bit more by attaching magnetic micro-plates.*

    No young girls in stupid outfits with ridiculous backgrounds and even worse music. No nonsense. You guys are the real deal. I am 70 and work out with you every day---(NO light weights or 'senior moves'). Can't afford gym or trainer. I am going to reach my goal myself! Thank you so much!

    I love that you two really work out with no breaks and get whooped just like most of us. Yet keep going. No powder breaks and fake spray bottle sweat in these videos. It motivates me. Thanks

    Tried to do this exercise with dumbbells. While I finished it, it's NOT something I recommend as an alternative. With the very first exercise I realized I was over extending my back to compensate for the lack of range the dumbbell had compared to a kettlebell. I worked up quite the sweat, but I'll definitely invest in a kettlebell set in the future for a more effective routine.

    Wow, that was BRUTAL. Definitely could not manage with a single-weight heavy kettlebell. I changed the last 6 groups of two to kettlebell halos, figure-8 curls and kettlebell clean & press. No way could I handle the snatch!

    Hey Daniel and Kelli, please I really need this answered. My son has put on some weight this school year and I was going to have him do your 2nd 8 week program, He's 12 years old, will this be ok? Should I cut the workouts in half? to 30 mins, etc

    I don't have kettlebells but a set of dumbbells so I pack all the dumbbells in a strong cotton bag and it works perfectly fine. kkkkk thanks for another great video.

    I don't understand why, on kettelbell swings, you want to use more momentum than muscle to bring the kettlebell back up. Using momentum obviously makes it so much easier, and I don't feel like it is doing really much at all. (I know I could use a heavier weight, but I don't have anything heavier yet.) Is there something wrong with trying to use more arm/shoulder strength instead? Thanks! Love your workouts!

      I'm no expert at kettlebells, but from what I've been told the idea of the swing is to use the force of your lower body to provide momentum for the swing. You create a sort of pendulum with your hips. Most of the work should come from your lower body. You can definitely do a movement that just works the upper body, but it wouldn't be a proper swing. I hope this helps!

      also remember it's used for cardio as well..if you use your muscles, you may cause strain on yourself..listen to him as he's describing the exercises..you want to always exercise the correct way..good luck

      kbell swings work your glutes, hamstrings, as well as core. It is also great cardio exercise. Do enough swings with proper form and a decent weight and you will feel it in the back of your legs the next day. Since you are using these large muscles to generate the power to swing and not just lifting with your arms, you should be able to swing a much heavier weight than if you were just using upper body,

    Boy that was rigorous. I am sweating like a pig! I am going to try with heavier weight...well some of the moved mot all. I think it is time. Been over a year with one weight.

    Is the exercise at 13:30 supposed to be a snatch? If yes the technique is horrible, you should not post this video because doing like that you could easily get hurt. Clean is bad too but not as much as the snatch.
