From 1949 till 1954 lived in Kurseong with my parents and 70 years after that visited kurseong again first time. I was so nostalgic, at the age of 77 never thought would visit my lovely Kurseong again. Kurseong I love you.
Hi viewers I am Bangladeshi . Visit Derjeeling in 1955 and now 75 years more. Again like to visit u r beautiful Hamilayan city. In 1955 Siliguri bus terminal was less rush. Watch forest in both rail road side to go Derjelling. Suvash Roy from Bangladesh.
Very nostalgic . All motor vehicles I see are Indian with ever loving cute Maruti Omnis! All Indians must be proud of it. A senior citizen from Sri Lanka. Thanks, Tony for uploading and keep it up!
...A very efficiently-sized railway! The rail cars are comparable in size to motor cars on the adjacent roadway but, could carry several times as many passengers to within a mile or kilometre of anywhere motor cars on roadways go, reducing the need for inefficient motor car use, accommodated by privately-operated taxis, jitneys or rickshaws to and from stops about every mile or kilometre along each rail line to and from door-to-door points. Many transit systems could be readily and easily built and run alongside main roadways about a mile or kilometre apart, diverging as fork lines about every 5 miles or 8 kilometres away from county seats, using this size of railway. Amenities such as sandwich and lavatory cars can be afforded onboard vestibule trains to accommodate busy passengers enroute.
....The Highway & Road drivers are absolutely insane!!!!..... The D&H 0-4-0T locomotives must have the ugliest proportions of any steam locomotives on earth..... but then as they say "Form Follows Function", and function they did!!
All this was left by British, not India, made, nothing has given to Gorkhas by India Gorvement, till now. They are playing football with us, Delhi and Calcutta, that is true, what to say to them. We all have Eghio, in ourselves that's why. They are earning from here.
