This was one my late father's favourite songs. As soon as I hear the harmonica in the intro I see his smiling face and am filled with the warmth of love he always gave me. I will always miss him and love him and be grateful for beautiful songs like this that remind me of all the wonderful times we spent together just listening to music sharing stories and just having a good laugh.
Junior I am 64 now but fondly remember Hallelujah Freedom, it was, and still is a classic in my book, it just reminds me of a time when life felt great and you never thought about growing old. Well now I am but can still enjoy the music of those magical years full of fond memories, cheers...

I had this tune stuck in my head the other day but could not recall what it was called! At first I had in mind Graham Nash singing the harmony as it reminded me of "Marrakesh Express". It took me a while but once I realised it was not CSNY nor the Hollies I tracked it down! Marmalade were certainly a versatile band!
Just watch an episode of heartbeat and heard this song and it took me back to those great days of my youth I just had to look it up and play it on RUclips (thank you) in my 70s now the jersey cows only bettered by the Guernsey cows both by far the best looking milk cows in the world ps the lady rainbow dancer looks stunning 🤩 where is she now I wonder regards to you all Mike sol’s

@Wildenfree1 Agreed- social unrest, civil rights, political revolution and anti-war protests made for some violent scenes on city streets in the late 60s, some of it justified (but I wouldn't condone it) but... as a backdrop, IMHO 1966 to 1969 really *was* the musical pinnacle of the 60s. Man, there was *great* musical talent on show.
Always loved this flip-side to "Reflections Of My Life" as I have the 45 RPM single. It's a beautiful lesson in what ends up as three-part harmony. This video is a revelation in that only two members of the band sing. The third part toward the end must be multi-tracked over the first two. I never get tired of hearing this.

Really underrated band. I think they weren't taken too seriously in the day because their first couple of hits stuck them firmly in the pop category at a time when being 'pop' or 'rock' was a credibility-dividing line that many bands found hard to recover from. If CSNY had done this would it now be hailed as a classic?
