Ian Hislop’s unfiltered take on Elon Musk | LBC

  • Editor of the Private Eye Ian Hislop joins Andrew Marr to discuss Elon Musk's controversial attacks on British MP's, the Rotherham inquiry, and his political predictions for 2025.
This comes after Musk went on a tweeting spree, in which he attacked Prime Ministers Gordon Brown and Sir Keir Starmer over what he alleges - without evidence - they were “complicit” in failing to combat mass rapes of young women and girls.
Musk's intervention has resurfaced the findings of a series of inquiries into child sexual abuse across England and Wales involving at least 1,400 victims.
The tech billionaire has also come under significant criticism for his attacks on Labour’s Jess Philipps, Secretary of State for Safeguarding and Violence Against Women and Girls, claiming she was a “rape genocide apologist”.

There is one glaring error in what they are peppering their conversation with however - wonder how many people get what that is, Andrew and Ian appear unable to - is it really that subtle, or are they blinded by social class prejudices/niceties to the wolves in their own pen? 🤷

I've been a follower of Private Eye since I was in school (1971). The stories like the Poulson Scandal, T Dan Smith and Reginald Maudling, for example, were covered and published articles in Private Eye similar to these got me hooked. The fact that Ian Hislop continued the work of his predecessors is nothing short of magnificent as he is an intelligent, fearless publisher, author and editor who has a show on BBC (HIGNIFY),which is superb, and will not bow down to anything or anyone. The elite "class" in Britain has been meddling in most countries affairs and stealing their land for centuries. Britain even sending out their young "classless" lads to die in South Africa in the late 1800s in order to steal the gold and diamonds the Boers has discovered in the Free State and Transvaal Republics. Incidentally these were largely unoccupied swafts of land north of the western cape that the Brits had stolen from the Dutch. So going to shed no tears for the crocodile. In any case Musk is seeking to protect the "classless" young girls of Britain. The media lied in the 1800s like they are doing now. We applaud Tommy Robinson and Elon Musk.

Larger even than the Post Office Horizon and on a par with Lucy Letby. BBC news covered it as the bottom story in their local south yorkshire section. To see it you would have to navigate UK->England->Regions->North West->South Yorkshire. If I remember correctly there was a story of a local tory mp fiddling expenses that was higher up the list so you had to scroll down. When I saw this I realised I could no longer rely on BBC news to report the truth. I use Ground News now but also look at X. We are only discussing this because of X.

I hope we all know that it doesn't matter who is in the 'top job' because this is a systemic problem -- greed. We have allowed many of our economic sectors, to take advantage of the American people. It's disgusting and frightening for the future of our country. My husband and I will be retiring in the next two years in another country. We are absolutely worried that SSI will no longer be funded. we'll have to rely on his pension, a 403 (b) and a very prolific lnvestment account with Tracy Britt Cool Consulting my FA.
