Celebrities or other high-profile people using their position to promote their political opinions has bothered me for some time. Why should a great actor, singer, or business leader have their views heard by millions when most of us have jobs that don't have the platform they have? I even go as far as saying they're abusing their position.

Intelligence doesn't prevent people making mistakes. Why? Most people make their decisions subjectively, rather than objectively. And subjectivity is more vulnerable to being misled. It's as simple as that.

It's a very hard job and changes every single day. Also the press profit from it so will stop at nothing to bring you a non-story.
So why quit Twitter, just block Elon Musk (like I did) and carry on enjoying the platform.
I don't imagine Stephen Fry will be suffering from any of Starmer's attrocious policies, they probably go to the same dinner parties with the rest of their powdered-wig university friends.
