Brilliant great song and group i want the 60ts and 70ts back and I want to stay there and never leave RIP all those great singers and musicians that have gone 😢 💔
💖. This group, is one of those special treasures, that just shine bright, in the dust of other known bands and songs, like glittering diamonds and gold that fools don't know about... Hits you in the feels, and just feels.. so good.. soo good.. to have. Just the feeling, if that's all that you do have. Thank you, Marmalade. 💖🥰
Very well said and true to every word 💯 👏 👍 👌 🙌 😀 💯. There's those fools who are death with closed ears to great brilliant fantastic real true talent singing songs like this classic. They've always only had space room time for nothing as real true knowledge understanding what real true singing performers are who sing with Heart,Spirit and,Soul. Not singing Trash ,Rubbish, Garbage, Junk.
So very sad to see Dean Ford has left the planet. At 72 he deserved a bit longer. Thanks for the wonderful and melodic songs you have left us. Died 31.12.2018.
Damn - must be the most under-rated bands of the 60's. This and reflections of my life are real music. Where did it all go wrong with music ? Oh well...
dean rip you will be remembered until eternity ,,,your voice and songs are second to none . marmalade have given me decades of music enjoyment ....thank you lol always
I agree, Brilliant Band . Love them , fantastic musicians, Dean , what a gift you had. But as usual Media goes out to destroy . But I’ve always loved this Special Band. Thank You for the Music. Noel
this takes me back to when i was a young teenager, god what classic records.walking around red house est ,sunderland ,with transistors, listening to Luxembourg! with our gang od lads and lasses! happy times
Linda Cadman Dean is currently recording a new cd. You can find him at www.pledgemusic.com/projects/deanford/ He also has a Facebook page - facebook.com/DeanFord.ThomasMcAleese
Such a gorgeous Pop tune! I remember it very well. This tune is like an amalgam of The Bee Gees (early-on) The Hollies and Badfinger. Thanks for the look back. I'm missing those days. Cheers -- W
"Dean Ford (born Thomas McAleese; 5 September 1945 - 31 December 2018) was a Scottish singer and songwriter best known for his tenure as lead vocalist and frontman of the beat pop group Marmalade from 1966 to 1974."
Back in 1969 in the company I worked in they allowed music to be broadcast across the many departments it had. This classic was often played in the summer along with the Cliff Richard hit, Big Ship. It was on BBC Radio Two with either Pete Murray, Sam Costa or a stand in named Terry Wogan. If I were to choose one year everyone seemed to work, stress free, Wages you could live on, and no I/T to replace people in the workplace. It would be 1969, plus summer was a scorcher and football more enjoyable. And music that is still popular over 50 years later.
Just love this song ....terrific band ...made some brilliant songs like " reflections of my life " lovin things and some good 70s songs as well..god bless and please dont forget to b kind to each other...good karma so important xx😇🥰😎
I was always aware of the Marmalade's hits (which were Excellent) one day I put on the CDs of the CBS & DECCA years in full. I was Amazed at the High Quality of the songs and performances, Absolutely Brilliant and Highly Recommended!!
Gosh you know all last week I was humming the song Reflecions of My Life but could not remember like I did 50+ years ago but I had to go type in the course and some words before I finally found it the Marmalades. Gosh I miss Dean and all the members it’s just a shame that they could have kept going if the right producers had not turned them down. Maybe I’m wrong but they were an awesome band. I miss you all I know the other members are still around but I truly miss Dean’s amazing voice. I’ve been trying to find more performances by them. When I hear Reflections of My Life it tears up my heart ❤️ and a lot of emotions and memories of if they could have just went further but one thing is for certain is they were fantastic songs. Dean Ford you are definitely missed and so are the other band members ❤️
Used to sing this song when I was singing around the club's in South Wales.loved the band's songs , their music Always went down well with the crowds .great memories ❤️👍
Every Marmalade record I have listened too has been been brilliant, although Reflections of my life, actually gives me goosebumps,is brilliant, Dean Ford you most certainly could sing, and even latest stuff I have heard you do is still as good.
They are criminally underrated musically....sadly its not till musicians die that they enjoy a resurgence and people pay more attention to them. I was too young to appreciate their earlier stuff but am making up for lost time. A late comer to the party as it were but their music is just a joy to listen to.
Anyone ever notice what a lovely stage presence that guitar player has? He moves in for his solo, keeps in contact with the listener with his eyes, looks mighty fine in those slacks, erm.....never mind. :-)
Brilliant great song and group i want the 60ts and 70ts back and I want to stay there and never leave RIP all those great singers and musicians that have gone 😢 💔
This is one of my favourite records. 1969 was a superb year for music.
I am with you on that one, some great music produced in 1969.
Absolutely right what a year😊
Absolutely agree.... it was a great time to be alive... 😊❤👍🏽
One of the best bands in the world. Too bad it didn't get the recognition it deserved
Absolutely fantastic, takes me back to my younger days, goosebumps and tears. Bring back the sixties.
Is that the real Peter Woodward or no?
Which Peter Woodward do you think it is, I used to reside in England until my early teen years, now live in Australia@@cralke

Lord , yes let me go back to the sixties to live for ever. Please Lord.
This is a fabulous song, I never tire of hearing it, just like the pleasure that Marmalade's 'Reflections of my Life' gives me every time I hear it.
The old saying '' they just don't make great records like this anymore '' is just so apt for this classic .
i 100% agree with you on this. dont know why i still look at today's top 30, none of the songs i've heard of!

Memorable song when I was a child.
Damn - must be the most under-rated bands of the 60's. This and reflections of my life are real music. Where did it all go wrong with music ? Oh well...
The main problem is the record companies and producers. Think of greed and what you end up when that is the focus
this makes me miss my dear friend Kath. She bought this because she liked it and didn't even have a record player. I miss you so much kiddo xx
dean rip you will be remembered until eternity ,,,your voice and songs are second to none . marmalade have given me decades of music enjoyment ....thank you lol always
A beautiful number from the summer of 1969, the timing, harmonies, phrasing and orchestration are superb - for me a UK blue-eyed soul performance!
Lovely song. Makes my hair stand up. Well sung and played, and just a nod here to composer Tony Macaulay. It's one of his best.
78 years young loved this group and song in '69 still loving it in 2023
I agree, Brilliant Band . Love them , fantastic musicians, Dean , what a gift you had. But as usual Media goes out to destroy . But I’ve always loved this Special Band. Thank You for the Music. Noel

They'd have to sing 3 octaves higher to be compared to BeeGees.
