There is only one Dean Ford he is marmalade no one could ever be another Dean Ford he was marmalade god I miss you so much babe you’re music will always be with me but you won’t thank you so much babe I will never forget you love you forever babe xxxxxzz
I'm 65 and first heard marmalade as a kid. Great band and songs. Dean was as cool as they came. RIP Mr Ford. Your music still lives. You left a mark in this terrible place 🙏🙏
I am a Moody Blues fan, and love the iconic harmony of their music, but for some reason, and I think it's pure talent, The Marmalade has always intrigued me that way too, even though I'd only heard "Reflections of My Life", I never forgot it. I'm so glad that RUclips has presented so many more of their great songs. They deserve to be up there with the BEST, and I think that Justin Hayward would likely agree too!
That band ,with Dean, produced high class music with lovely harmonic singing. They really were a talented crew. From what I can gather they did self destruct for a while ,which I think hampered their progress, and obscured their talent .When I heard Dean sing "in dreams" with just two guitars for accompaniment I was mightily impressed.Check it out on RUclips and have a listen.RIP,Dean.You are missed already.!
I love the Marmalade band since my childhood days! I miss Dean Ford 😢 ❤ RIP perhaps I could lay a bouquet 💐 of flowers the next time if I ever visited Scotland! 😀
I so love this video.. I have watched it too many times to count. Probably hundreds.. Love Marmalade so much. Love love love Dean Ford/Thomas McAleese so so much. Rest in Peace.. :'(
The Marmalade built up a remarkably eclectic back catalogue, with psych classics like I See The Rain and Man In A Shop, the power pop of Lovin' Things and Wait For Me Mary-Anne, the reggae novelty of O-Bla-Di O-Bla-Da, the introspection of Reflections Of My Life, the CSN influenced Rainbow, to name but a few. Lovin' Things was the first single I bought.
Goodness gracious, I met Julie Felix over a week ago in Rome and she did a brief concert for the Matriarchal Roots of the Gift Economy international conference--guys, she still has the same great voice! Great person too, having stayed in the same hotel and we were on the same meetings, lunch and dinners for a week. I'm verey priviledged. She gave me her CD as a gift! Thanks a lot, Julie!
I see his daughter knows his father wonderful...they are much better than a rock band .maybe this is the best wine of Scottish or the best soul...anyway they are the pride of Scottish. I never know only watching their films..finally, I know this is just Scottish style...want some fun...very interesting...charming Scottish
This is amazing, absolutely amazing for two reasons! First, THE MARMALADE, and second Julie Felix whom I have not ever ever seen live or heard about in well over 30 years. To hear this song live- which I have only on an old album and to see Julie Felix LIVE- well you made my day!
+Heather Gambier I am happy she is doing well; I am sorry I missed her entirely in the 70's. She just couldn't overcome the influence of the super rock groups in the American airwaves of that era. She didn't have the big hit like fellow Englishwoman Charlie Dore. Thank you for responding to my little note and I hope that Julie Felix plays at the music festival in your village for many years to come!
@@buckland55 I just saw your heartfelt reply. I wish I could have seen Julie Felix up there in the U.K. but I'm all the way down in eastern Long Island. I'm sorry, too, that Julie Felix has passed away.
Very well done , you are obviously like me a big Marmalade fan and i thank you for the efforts you have made with all of your quality marmalade footage.
Charles nice what you said I was lucky enough to meet Dean late sixties he stayed near me when he was in London I got to know him quite well smashing guy and for a while we lost touch I got married so did Dean ....this is uncanny I went to Scotland with my then partner and actually bumped into Dean he was also from Coathbridge then he went to America but we stayed in touch he actually spoke to me a week before he passed away so yeah I was lucky to know him smashing guy you take care and be safe.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
..um dia agente vem.. um dia agente vai.. esse intérprete se foi, mas deixou uma obra, um legadouma riqueza de canções.. da época, que hoje tá carente..
William Milligan You're welcome William, once you've pledged you're given an access pass and will see updates from the studio. Dean still has that unbelievable voice. I can recommend his solo album which is being re-released too. :)
Saw Julie Felix online with madeleine bell, lovely. Also Dean Ford the lead singer with Marmalade on the video still has a beautiful voice and is currently recording a cd.www.pledgemusic.com/projects/deanford/ He also has a Facebook page - facebook.com/DeanFord.ThomasMcAleese. You can hear some of the new songs on both of these
Oh but you look so sweet with your hair parted down the middle Wullie. Any particular part of the video you want to throw something at or just in general? Haha.
Patty Asmus, Lucy should know. I don’t know who you are mixing him up with but Graham was the final member of the band to leave, around 2010. He was far too busy with Marmalade to be moonlighting with other bands.
My apologies -- but there was some young looking bass player back in that era, seems like I see him in so many videos - Maybe it's not the same guy....Was there a similar looking kid in the Hollies? I wasn't there then, I didn't know any of these people's names, I was just born too late for the music I like ;-)
Mean spirited troll rides again. I'd rather hear Julie sing ANY day than hear your foul mouthed vacuous rants. As if you can sing better I s'pose??? LOLLOLLOL #PleaseJustBeatIt
Obladi Oblada has got to be their worst ever record, despite making No. 1. It was rubbish by the Beatles. I'd love to know what John Lennon thought of it! It's even worse than Cousin Norman, and that was bad enough!
What an absolutely epic iconic band .......I fell in love with The Marmalade years ago and the love still runs deep!!!!!! RIP DEAN FORD
Beautiful, really beautiful.
I even love this beautiful man, even though your rest.
Wonderful! I remember watching the Julie Felix show as a child. She had fantastic guests. I used to take Marmalade for granted; not now.

I have never heard this song before but it is certainly wonderful. Then we get Ob La Di....with Julie Felix. Brilliant.

Sadly we don't know someone's true value till they are gone for they were just snow flackes on life's River once their then gone forever
Dean was Marmalade his voice is amazing missed so much singing with the angels now miss you so much god bless 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Muy guapos de su vestimenta ,con respeto al público ,con todo el sentimiento ❤

Tight little band! Dean was a fine singer and Julie joining in is the icing on the cake.
Love this! Very hammy but wonderful.
The best band ever to come out of Scotland

Dean Ford, another glimpse of Scottish skill later used by The Alan Parsons Project... :-)
This is exciting for anyone with an interest in the great Julie Felix. Marmalade R brillient, but Ms Felix IS something else!
He could sing the phone book and it would be brilliant. 😉💗

Julie, I want a hug from you because you also sang at the end of the video some kind of song, I don't know what it's called
Júlia už tiež navždy odpočíva 🖤
I like this version of Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da because I finally could hear the story. Nice song Paul!

Auch für mich neu, aber sehr schön!
Julie a beautiful song at the end of the video where is the Marmalade song Julie sings at the end of the video from?
War das nicht von den Beatles? Trotzdem sehr schön!
Oh but you look so sweet with your hair parted down the middle Wullie. Any particular part of the video you want to throw something at or just in general? Haha.
Was there some sort of BBC ban on the word "Bragh'?
Dean Ford kind of resembles Steve Marriott.
The drummer on the tambourine seems to be having trouble keeping time?
