Dean Ford one of the most underrated singers of his time, I'm a great fan of Roy Orbison and not many singers can sing his songs they don't have the range but Dean gives a great rendition of a classic Orbison song. 👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎

We produce so few great male vocalists in these islands but what do we do when one comes along? We give them a few years of fame then let them drift into obscurity! It's time for a Dean Ford revival, to show the people of Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland what we had... and what we squandered and lost.

I used to live in Central America and heard Marmalade's song Reflexions of my Life....it brings me memories of 1971 the first time and heard it.....Thank you Dean, you were GREAT I am sad you are gone but still with us in the memories of our lives

I'm not into and turned off by folks comparing one legend to another. I'm grateful for the flavors and the revisiting. But much as I love Roy I have to admit coming back to this cover first. I wish for Dean's sake he'd had more recognition and some deserved rewards it brings. Curious what year this was.

I'm just one of the 15,000+ who have stumbled upon this rendition. I thought only Orbison had the vocal range to attempt this song but Dean's voice just elongates & rises to each higher note effortlessly.

I have a few I put in that "please don't try to cover them" list, number 1 being Orbison (also Kd Lang & the untouchable, Adele and overlooked, Brandi Carlile-Adele covers her). This guy is amazing. That natural melasma technique in his vox, heard in Marmalade & strengthened since, was at the time of 69-70 when he recorded "Reflections of My Life," only heard in Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles and very few others, motown black soul singers. Original "Blue-eyed" Rock n Roll singer.
He has a Roy vocal quality on this version. Great redition Dean!
Always said Marmalade were the best group too come out of Scotland mainly due to Dean seems only like yesterday that Dean Lord & The Gaylords played a lot of gigs in central Scotland.

Boy, did he have a gift!!!!!...May goodness...In Dreams is not an easy to song to sing...I always thought it was Junior or Graham singing the high notes harmonizing with him during the Marmalade run....Dean displays here he can hit any note he wants!!!

This is truly awesome. I'm a Big O fan and never thought ANYONE could touch this song, but Dean nails it with just as much operatic splendour as Roy. Everybody's right, Dean Ford is a world class vocalist as anyone who loves Reflections knows.

its great how they played an orchestra on two guitars, at a wedding, the original wedding video is knocking about, look at it
They had a tape for some of the background music and vocals....Done a lot at weddings and different events...I had a friend that used tapes for her music events, said it was harder to sing with tapes than with a live musician...her pianist she said could cover her mistakes, the tape recording can't.

Remember reflections of my life as a kid, I thought it some how deep and worrying .alas we all end up going the same way eventually .
You won't find any other covers of this song because it is very difficult to sing and do a good job. Dean Ford is the only one that can pull this off and he is easily compareable to Roy Orbison. This was in an informal setting looks like in someone's living room amd it's awesome. Too bad there isn't a recording studio version because I believe Dean's version could be just as powerful as Roy Orbison's.
