A great, great song - by one of the best groups of its day. By God, that era just either side of 1970 (circa '69 to about '73) was truly one of the very best & most enjoyable in the context of creative, dynamic rock music.
Dear Colin Dominy: This is a pleasant song. I treasure the days of yore: Exposed to different styles of music; a connoisseur of the BBC, US, Luxembourg, and world charts. ------------------ Today's music polarizing is sad, separates and segregates society.
Brilliant music and band . Scotland gave us such good artists . Reflections of my life is pure class and brings back a time when life seemed less chaotic
Scotland gave me my all-time favourite band: Gallagher & Lyle. I saw Marmalade live at Southport Theatre in 2013, when they were part of a Sixties Gold package. After the gig, I was snapped with their current lead singer Sandy Newman, who had the audience in the palm of his hand that night.
Great great band, superb harmonies and song writing skill. I played in a band back in 1973 and we supported Marmalade at a gig somewher up North and they were so good and a cracking bunch of lads, I remember they sent crates of beer to our dressing room and we all got smashed.
Alan may I congratulate you on your wonderful drum track. Beautiful feel with creative fills. The drummer in the video looked quite detached from the drum track.
that twat hughie nicolson wanted his mate in on drums so they arranged to oust me after i had recorded the album..he was the cause of the whole break up of the Marmalade..when he left he was never heard of again anyway thanks for the compliment
Thanks Breda, Dean's passing was a great shock to us all, Kind regards, Matt Nicholson Have a look at our trailer ruclips.net/video/fzz4CZTZ05w/видео.html&ab_channel=tumblerpigeon2
This is how a pop should be.I heard this on the radio back then...it´s just perfect.Written and recorded so well.Thank you boys,it´s still magic, makes me feel good.
This is a good song nothing could get better than this takes me back on times with my family on the beach thank you marmalade you make me remember the great memories of my life back then
Love the marmalade in my youth Dean Ford was a very underrated artist.Refelection of my life Was and still is a very underrated song love it this is a song I have want 2 be be played at my funeral the words are so true.rip Dean Ford so talented and very underrated
Hi guys, I was lead guitarist in the foundations back in the 90's (not the original guy) and we toured with them across Europe- better bunch of blokes you couldn't wish to meet...great times
Proof that a great song can be created with four chords, a good melody and some talented people to play it. Unless I'm wrong; no auto tune for the vocals, no trickery to make the kit sound like computerised, gated cannons, no billion drop in guitar parts. Sounds good to me and feels good to me.
Great song .. very talented band. A sweet sound + a terrific 'theme' to this tale. This era - when the sixties turned the corner into the fabulous golden decade of the 1970s - produced some of the very-best, most-memorable rock music ever made. And this sweet song is one of those great memories ...
This is what Simon Cowell should be spending his energy on. Get a 60/70s show on mainstream tv here in UK.Think channel 4 tried it in 1980's with "Unforgettable" hosted by Alan "Fluff" Freeman. Fab post, great music and great memories Manchester 60/70s.Thanks
This is still a favourite song of mine (born 1955) . Thank you for downloading this. tumblerpigeon2. Thank you for that music Marmalade. R.I.P. Dean Ford. Great !!!!

This song takes me back to my hometown, Cahtsworth, Durban, South Africa. My uncle and his friends jamming away on their wooden bellini guitars, under the mango trees with the mainstay, curries, and Dbn Poi. Sundays would never be the same again.....
I remember this fine pop song from being a teenager in the early 1970's. Great brass section! Would have been nice to see some brass players in the video.
dean so sorry you have passed away ,,,what a voice and looks the harmonies are fantastic ive loved marmalade since the beginning ,,,you will be missed rip xxxx
The Norman Bates Motel household, 'Norm's Place'. A warm shower of care for all who pass bye here. And a happy family and extended family atmosphere, at cut throat accommodation prices to die for. All are welcome.

Marmalade recruited guitarist Hugh Nicholson after Junior Campbell had left the band.Unfortunately they agreed to replace their talented drummer,Alan Whitehead, with Hugh's mate Dougie Henderson, who can be seen here miming Alan Whitehead's drum parts!
@colindominy Great comment on that era of pop/rock music. I couldn't agree more. This is not just nostalgia, the music made more sense then - in any terms. Comments like these have got me into hot water over the years tho'.
A great, great song - by one of the best groups of its day. By God, that era just either side of 1970 (circa '69 to about '73) was truly one of the very best & most enjoyable in the context of creative, dynamic rock music.
