Lack of maturity, intelligence and self control. I’m a single mother with 3 sons whose father chose to be out of my son’s life and never have they behaved like this girl. She definitely needs a huge, maybe painful wake up call!
She behaves a bit like me when I was younger and had been backed into a corner. I said what they expected me to say, even though I didn’t actually think that way.
I saw the end of this episode where she was being escorted to treatment; it broke my heart seeing her scream at her mother… _and make sense_. I think she says a lot of what she does for shock value because no one listens and she feels like no one loves her. I doubt she’d actually shoot up a school; it’s all said for attention because she lacks that attention at home. Her mom ignores/dismisses everything she says. I can’t blame her for acting out after seeing how that mom talked to her.

I have scars spanning my whole body. I have experienced trauma on a level she couldnt even understand and I have never once acted like her. Your past does not give you an excuse to abuse those around you. Your trauma doeant make you a shitty person, choosing to be terrible makes you a shitty person. It's weird, cause when I hear that, my first thought is: "That is one very disturbed child, calling out for help, at the end of their rope, a child who needs help." The fact that this discussion has shifted from "why do these kids do this?" to "omg, ban them!" is, frankly, depressing. We don’t use profanity because it’s disrespectful. When we were raising ours there would never be a time the kids would use it. Now they are adults and should anyone use profanity at either of us, we shut the whole conversation down and call it as it is. We will not tolerate it. To me, my opinion, good parenting starts there. As Dr Phil said in another clip re this young lady, she has a small vocabulary.

Anytime I slip I correct myself and tell her not to repeat it. Now anytime she wants a fork it sounds like she's saying something else because she can't pronounce it right and I have to let people know what she's saying so they don't think bad of my parenting 😂😂

She's a kid. Take control of her. Don't give her money. Don't let her have a backpack or a big purse. Take her to school and pick her up. If she wants friends, invite them to your house so you know who they are and what they are doing. And also, find out what's making her so angry that she's daydreaming of shooting people. Maybe she needs a different school or different classes. Finally, somebody with a face that mobile should probably be in some kind of theater troupe.

There is a huge amount of romanticism associated with school shootings when it comes to kids like this. I still think the best way to stop that is for the media to change how they report these incidents (by not focusing on the perpetrator(s) and instead on the victims) and by explaining to these kids how ridiculed and despised they're gonna be if they choose to carry out something so disgustingly heinous.
