As a parent I’m heartbroken. As an educator, yes, I’d protect my kids too & take a bullet if I had to. No child should die at the hands of bitter people filled with rage.
Those 6 people will never be able to experience life anymore. Those 3 little babies will never go home and see their family again, and neither will the teachers. It’s crazy and bothers me how much more care is put into using the shooters correct pronouns more than the loss of those 3 innocent children and teachers. This is disgusting, my heart goes out to all the families who lost their loved ones, and I am praying for those children and teachers who have been scarred by this incident. Our schools should be more protected, and the fact that she called multiple departments when the shooter showed red flags and suspicious messages. @Secretary This happens in red and blue states alike. All over the country. ALL year long. We can't rely much on the government at this point so we have to be smart and protect ourselves. It's up to us to prevent things like this from happening in the future. Screw the politicians.

I'm still scared of a shooter storming the school, but I know what to do and where to go if this happens. Unfortunately, my school does not prepare us for anything like this, using shooter drills.

Teacher in a small school in Tennessee and we have lock-down (shooter) drills a few times during the school year, and have had them for quite a while. You should talk to your schools about this or have your parents talk to your school board.
at least they were foolish enough to hinder movements by carrying two rifles, and switching from the AR to the 9mm carbine when went off camera for 5 minutes while everyone shuffled up the stairs without them noticing.

i saw in another interview with shooter' friend with more details were shared. The friend saw shooter's message around 9.57am, & her dad told her to take action immediately which she did. She called suicide hotline & hotline told her to call police immediately for direct help, which she did at around 10.13am.. Shooter was actually already at school carpark at 9.53am, and at 10.10am already shot open the building's glass door. At 10.13am 911 started receiving calls from the school... With this timeline it will take almost a miracle to prevent the shooting from happening :(
If she called 911 she wouldn't have been put on hold, only if she called the non-emergency line then she would've been put on hold, well more rather got transferred to it

This reminds me of a video I watched awhile ago about former RUclipsr Mcskillet, he had a mental breakdown, and was diagnosed by a psychiatrist for a California section 5150, which means he needed to be involuntary committed to psychiatric care. The police ignored this and a few hours later he had a mental breakdown which lead to a severe accident that killed him and 2 innocent bystanders.
The more sad thing is that it’s so close to home. Hearing about shootings is heartbreaking but as a person living in Tennessee just makes it scarier. Rip to the souls that lost their lives that day💔🕊️
I am from Switzerland and it’s just sad hear what these young kids had to go through. It will take them a lot of years to process because once they grow up they will have a much better grasp on what they went through that day. One person can change so many kids life for the worse.

I'm from Texas, so knowing the Nashville cops did what the Uvalde cops didn’t does make me feel better. Obviously the situation is still horrible, and I really do hope we get some better regulations about who we give guns too.

And it was such a long time ago, I doubt any school staff that worked there at the time remembered them. I feel more sympathy for the victim’s families and anyone in the trans community who may be targeted because of this person’s actions. Teacher in a small school in Tennessee and we have lock-down (shooter) drills a few times during the school year, and have had them for quite a while. You should talk to your schools about this or have your parents talk to your school board.

i saw in another interview with shooter' friend with more details were shared. The friend saw shooter's message around 9.57am, & her dad told her to take action immediately which she did. She called suicide hotline & hotline told her to call police immediately for direct help, which she did at around 10.13am.. Shooter was actually already at school carpark at 9.53am, and at 10.10am already shot open the building's glass door. At 10.13am 911 started receiving calls from the school... With this timeline it will take almost a miracle to prevent the shooting from happening :(
If she called 911 she wouldn't have been put on hold, only if she called the non-emergency line then she would've been put on hold, well more rather got transferred to it

This reminds me of a video I watched awhile ago about former RUclipsr Mcskillet, he had a mental breakdown, and was diagnosed by a psychiatrist for a California section 5150, which means he needed to be involuntary committed to psychiatric care. The police ignored this and a few hours later he had a mental breakdown which lead to a severe accident that killed him and 2 innocent bystanders.

I'm from Texas, so knowing the Nashville cops did what the Uvalde cops didn’t does make me feel better. Obviously the situation is still horrible, and I really do hope we get some better regulations about who we give guns too.

Bro we were on a school trip and it we were just two miles away when the shooting happened, and we saw it on the news at the airport. It’s really sad just how much can happen so close to you and you’re unaware of it until it’s too late. We really need more restrictions and consequences for gun usage/ownership.

I’m a Christian who was bullied as a child, I have nothing against people within the LGBTQ Community, but it’s hard for me to feel sympathy towards someone who killed 6 innocent people including 3 children. I feel more sympathy for the victim’s families and anyone in the trans community who may be targeted because of this person’s actions. At least, I’m hoping that no one in the transgender community will end up in danger because of this.

They put her on hold and she says "I have been on hold for so long" what could be more important to a police station than trying to report someone going to kill and kill themselves that you put them on hold.
