Awesome shoot interviews
I can listen to Brown talk for hours
me too
Me too
I saw Bad News a month before he died He could hardly walk he was doing Security outside a mall in airdrie and I went up to him and asked "Are you Bad News Allen? And He smiled and said "Yes I Am"
I said its Honor to meet you
Great storyteller
I love that guys as a general rule can't talk of Stu Hart without giving us an impression.
So true. I love Jim Cornette's impression the best.
@@dh1040 Waaah waaah you made Diana look like some kind of huuuuaaaarghhh
@@dh1040 “Makin Diana look like a whooere!”
Never even thought about it until he mentioned it. Bret never did change his facial expressions
Well, would you expect a "hitman" to be dynamic with a range of emotion?
@@TheoriginalBacchuscleric I'm not expecting anything. I said I didn't even notice it or think about it until he mentioned it. Bret was in my top 6 or 7 favorite wrestlers
Did you watch Bret vs Hakushi at In Your House?
I know you will have watched SS92 match.
I get how because he's straight talking and not charismatic it's nothing obvious but I think it's a fair comment that Bret made the small things matter.
We certainly knew what we going to get with Bret and he always delivered.
Bret was no Randy Savage but he was his own breed of what Bret thought he ought to be and he took it very seriously.
I think that added to his character.
@@byronmartin1840 I hear you. It's just that Bad News said it like it was a major flaw. Maybe it was. But being the Hitman covered for it. I knew that he wasn't that dynamic, but I expected it.
When people ask if anyone saw Bret's SS 92 match sometimes they're talking about summerslam against the bulldog and sometimes survivor series against Michaels. And unrelated matches people just say SS and who knows if they're talking about summerslam or survivor series
I could listen to him talk all day long. It's too bad he passed away unexpectedly. I would have loved more of these interviews.
Bad news is so eloquent and easy to listen to it could go on all day and I'd still listen
Bad News is so likable.
Bad News Brown was one of my favorite heels of all time.
Bret was a better heel
@@sugs1191better heel but couldn't draw still
I used to attend every match when Stampede Wrestling came to Saskatoon in the old Saskatoon Arena aka The Barn. The place was cold even on the hottest summer days. I always sat on the side the Heels came out. My brother would go sit on the other side. Bad News in the Hall was always talking to us kids. He was a nice guy outside the ring. When Bruce had the book in Stampede in the early 80’s there was lots of blood spilled in and out of the ring. The chairs ringside were the steel ones that had 4 stationary legs. The Harts were always late, you couldn’t buy a program till they got there.
I miss guys with this type of personality, especially in the business of wrestling. He is a straight shooter. Overtime wrestling became too cartoon-ish.
Only in the WWF😎
Bad News was an awesome heel. He could talk trash, deliver a great promo, generate heat, and he could really wrestle. He passed away too early.
He certainly did.
What a GREAT heel he was. His appearance on Arsenio was legendary. When kayfabe meant something. A true master of his craft. Love this interview and how he talks about the art.
As soon as kayfabe died, wrestling was never the same. That and the internet (showing everything behind the curtain) killed it. Not right away, it took a while, but those are the 2 main things. Today these 'wrestlers' look at wrestling as a job and they spout off so much before, during, and after their stints in the ring. Years ago it was a brother (and sister) hood. Wrestling is dead and it's never coming back. It's a zombie on life support but its heart, soul, & lifeblood are long gone.
Class act and very generous. Met him in Calgary and he talked to me for over half an hour. The behind the scenes stories are so good. He traveled the world and even had an Olympic medal for judo.
When I came to work in Calgary news was gone and Bret was as well. NEWS was a very decent man and a very good worker. I liked Bret when I met him as well but he was very egotistical but then that does go with the business. RIP News you were a great worker and best of all old school.
Great comment
BNB talking about his conversation with Stu Hart on the porch had me literally lol-ing!!! Is there ANYONE who CAN get a Stu impersonation wrong??? LMAO!!!
That man and his stories and experiences were pure gold.
I admit he does awesome interviews
"If you saw Bret Hart in one match then you've seen him in every match, he never changes". Couldn't you say the same about every wrestler? Isn't that what makes them who they are?
Pretty much but the problem with Bret fans is they lie about other wrestler's
I think he means that Bret used to wrestle the same wrestling style and never did anything different in the ring. Weather you believe that or not that's up to you.
even Rob says that this interview was one of the best he ever did.
What a classy gentleman. RIP sir and thank you!
Stampede Wrestling legend. Favourite heel when growing up. Best trash talker. Called himself the Ultimate Warrior before there was the Ultimate Warrior
My friend met Bad News "Allen/Brown" the year he passed away he was working doing Security in a Strip Mall about 30 minutes from the City of Calgary (I forget the name of the area). (RIP BAD NEWS)
I saw him before he died it was in airdrie
"If you miss me, I'm not selling' ", that should be the Heel's official creed right there.
Japan baby
Indeed
Thank you for the video...much appreciated hearing these interviews.
Funny he says Bret never changed his expression but if you watch Bad News he never changed his either
Bad news absolutely did change his expression - though it was always a range between mildly peeved and absolutely furious... Went alongside his character!
@@fuzzluvver69 he had the same snarl grimace his entire run. Bret had more expression in one match then Bad News had his whole career
@@Boygonebad Nope.
@@fuzzluvver69 yup
@@Boygonebadnah
I never thought I'd say this, but I love Bad News!
I'll never forget when Bad News Brown had Jack Tunney on his knees on The Brother Love Show. The fans were legit scared of him. He was an awesome heel.
Well to be fair Commish had Elizabeth on hers... Doing favors!!?? Lol. 😮😮😅
I met Bad News. Well not exactly. He came out the back after a program, and tried to remain in character but was shocked at such a warm reception. After seeing how he was in real life, I just couldn't boo him ever again!
Too bad Bad News wasn’t around in the Attitude Era age. Imagine him & Stone Cold feuding!
Ironically Stone.colds best feud was with Bret and vince
@Sug S another ironic thing is bret Hart's face turn was against bad news brown then his heel turn was against stone cold. Bad news brown and scsa had the exact same approach
@@krlm2280 and THAT’S what would’ve made it such a great feud! 2 guys with the same attitude, same demeanor, same kick ass thought process….it would’ve been like 2 pitbulls fighting! Definitely would’ve been better than that proposed Austin vs Dr. Death feud WWF was planning on, IMO
@@creoleDJ I agree 💯
This dude heroically won every story he told.

That’s the greatest and most heroic story of them all
Just like Bret does in every story he tells as well...
@@wolf7el356 Yeah, Bret is the protagonist of this world.
@@souldry David Schultz is like that too. Every story he tells he's either beating someone's ass or intimidating them. It's like okay man, you're tough. But no one is THAT tough.
One of the main things I notice while Bad News’ is talking is his “Judo Fingers”. Man is a legend.
Bad news Allen. The ultimate bad guy. The guy you loved to hate. Watched him many times in Calgary.
Bad News understood the business and the fans about kayfabe
I had forgotten about Bad News Brown, but, yeah, I really liked him when he was wrestling. This interview is really eye opening - the guy was really smart. Seems like someone who would be a good guy to hang out with and shoot the breeze. It's a real shame that he died so young.
I swear Bad News was my favorite heel wrestler in the wwf era he s like the cool Uncle i could listen to forever rest in power Mr.Brown✊🏿
He seems like he would love to talk about this in endmore detail. But he seems like he might not be feeling good. What a bad ass he was just to get through this entire shoot
jason dirt ....do you think he’s not feeling well here? He seems ok....
Miss you Allen.
Bad News Browns interaction with the Hart family alone would make for a good book!
Man OG Brown had a beef damn near err body!!!🤣RIP🖤
The FIRST ladder match ever was almost SIX years earlier in Calgary between Cowboy Dan Kroffat and Tor Kamata. It was Kroffat's concept that he brought to Stu Hart.
I thought the first one was Jake Roberts vs Big Daddy Ritter in 1979?
Great to see that face smile as he never EVER smiled as BNB
It's a shame, because Bret has only spoken very highly of Bad News, and talked about how much he learned working with him as a young wrestler. I don't know if it's fair for Bad News to bad mouth him for not being technically sound when Bret was so green and Bad News was an experienced top guy. Bret obviously learned as he gained experience, like EVERYONE.
Where? In Bret's book he just buries bad news every chance he got.
I've watched on RUclips Bret talk s**t about BNB saying how BNB learned wrestling in Japan which says it all ( obviously doesn't rate Japan standards I guess ) and how BNB was being his true self playing the heel
I love Bret but Bad News is the truth. Bret wasn't green he was 30 in 87, and had been wrestling since he was 17...his Dad is Stu Hart he was born in to the business. No excuse except for being uppity.
B as d news was no joke by the way he sounds he was a businessman.
Bad news has always been a favorite of mines! He was the opposite of jyd tough and didn't take no shit and you can tell he was like that in real life. I miss him! I'm grateful you guys got this interview Before he pass R.I.P. Bad News Brown ✊🏿
Damn Ban News had the same criticism for Bret that Bret had for Flair. If you saw him once, you saw them all.
Bad News was schooling Dynamite and Brett in those days.3 all time greats!
Bret.
I lived in Calgary and attended Stampede Wrestling live on Friday nights at the Pavillion in Calgary. I can honestly say that News would not sell to many guys not just Bret. He was also one of, if the only wrestler that outright refused to blade for a match. So while News does tell the truth most of the time, he, as like all 'rasslers bend the truth to a degree. One of the few guys other than Flair/Hall/HBK that shit on Bret. Talk to Austin, Taker, Foley, Hennig, Rude and many others and their opinion of Bret is quite the opposite.
And in case of Flair and HBK it was more of their personal conflicts, because now they praise him. it really it was Brown who I maintain was jealous of Bret greater success, Hall who was wasted most of the time,. So I will take the list of those who praise him plus most of the AEW roster and the WWE not kissing Triple H's ass
The Hart family are not the angels and do gooders that the WWE make them out to be. Longtime Calgarians can tell stories of the Harts not paying their bills. It goes as deep as Brett's daughter, who opened a restaurant in the east village for it to close right before X-mas in 2019 owing her staff thousands in unpaid wages. News is right, you have to watch your back when dealing with the Harts.
@@claytonberg721 LoL, your reply has zero to do with the wrestling business. Try to keep up with what is being discussed and forsake using not related to the situation as an excuse!!
@@thebreeze12 It has to do with the harts and how they conduct business. Anyone who knows them knows to watch their backs. Yeah they gave a lot of wrestlers their starts but everyone knows you can't trust them. It has to do with their character.
This is a verifiable incident reported on by every major news outlet. You can't trust the hart family.
@@claytonberg721 Hey if you can send the link(s) to all of the news outlets that have reported not to trust the Harts I would love to read them. Just add them with your reply.
I wish I could've thanked him for so much inspiration
1:44 Smiling because it's true... LOL!
I'm not into Wrestling at all but my dad loved it and before he passed when you visited him if it was on you were watching. Bad News has cleared up a lot of myths for me, I always knew it was scripted but he says a lot of the contact was real were I thought all of it was fake. Also he gives the best interviews which I can listen to all day.
Dude, if it helps. Listen to Ric Flair. He would’ve told you the same but more graphic to it. By the way, wrestling is choreographed with full contact. Also at times its actually real because the wrestler in question broke the code like Bad News said 😊
Damn good man. Rip
I love how BNB talks! He makes everything believable.
Bad News if not the best than definitely top 3 for giving the best shoot interviews all time
Bret The BEST!!!!!
I'm the best there is the best there was the best there ever will Be classic by Hart (Rip Mr. Brown)
I know I'm not only long time fan of pro wrestling learning about a Ladder Match between Bad News Brown and Brett Hart👏
This was in 2005. Bad news was 62. He looks like he could still go in the ring here.
Gone but not forgotten
Bad news was my all favorite heeels ever he meant what he said and said what he meant...its ghetto blaster time fool...
In Virgana we were working in Virgana again 😂 funny shit
Notice he mentions Regina twice which is the best city on earth
Bad News Brown was the original Stone Cold.
That's a fact
SCSA had charisma. BNB had none.
Good man, great wrestler.
I knew it: Bret Hart never hurting anyone sounded not quite right to me. I've got exactly the same impression of Bret Hart as Bad News Brown did: technically good and a joy to watch, not many expressions, and certainly believing his own BS. Sure, he had some reasons to be angry, but he seriously lost the plot, took himself too seriously, and he enjoyed keeping grudges and playing the victim when he didn't get his way.
Bret didn't need to make expressions. He was great in the ring. Michaels was a problem and an asshole. Bret never caused problems.
@@christiancharles2689 okay gossip girl
@@christiancharles2689 didn't need to make expressions? 🤣 He didn't need to draw dimes either. Had a hell of a career thanks to Vince McMahon overpushing him.
@@RG-lr4pk Bad News facial expression stuff is garbage and he's certainly guilty of that himself, Bret Hart was a master of selling. Talk about taking yourself to seriously every Bad News match if he didn't go over clean was a DQ or double DQ he would never lose, and all his WWF matches sucked except when he wrestled Bret.
@@danielmelvin4525still doesn't change the fact Bret gave him a concussion... Pointless post from you
Jeez, he died in 2007.

It's crazy Bret hart giving you a concussion multiple times is the same thing that ended his career from Bill Goldberg!! #Karma💡
Brett never changed expressions? Neither did you pal.
Would love to listen to all BNB wrestling stories about the hart family and his time In WWF and Japan. He is not the only one who said bret hart loves to whine about other wrestlers being to stiff.
When Bad News said that Bret started "believing his own BS", I wonder if this is what people mean whenever they want to say that the Montreal Screwjob was really Bret's fault? Like if you look at what Jake Roberts has to say about the whole ordeal, he pretty much accuses Bret of forgetting that wrestling is a work and he didn't win the world title in a legit competition.
And even though Bret never changed expressions he still made it further than you did and ever could.
Yeah because of the steroid scandal. Bret got lucky
My man bad news
Bad news is real tough guy
Im bad news brown,, and ive got some baaadd news for yer!!
He seems pretty cool
Was Bad News a smoker, or was it the lighting in the studio? His teeth look yellow. Bad News was a great heel very believable. RIP Bad News.
That's not true, Bret finally started changing when he went heel.. he kept hearing how he would be the same each time and then started switching it up. I admit at the begining he was like that but he was enjoying being a face. Just watch his later stuff, dirty figure four ring post locks, groin shots, chair shots, running from the ring like a wuss, Bret started heeling really good.
What exactly is Bad News saying that is "not true"?
@@yoholmes273 being that I haven't touched this comment in about a year I'll just have to assume I was talking about his character skills. Some people say Bret want boring, I don't remember this video and don't feel like rewatching it again but I think BNB mentioned something like that.
Why would Bret wear an eyepatch while driving? Wouldn’t it make sense for him to put it on in the locker room before the match.
He would have been a great title holder.
Bad news is cool as shit lol
It’s mad how bad news was saying this so long ago about Bret being bad for business, and in 1996 it was Bret don’t the sad face that caused nash to leave and the formation of the nwo was born
At 4:52 was that incident on video?
I seen Bad News take on Dynamite Kid in Vancouver in the early 80's.each guy could bring a tin garbage can to the ring, with his choice of weapons in it,it was Bonkers, the match got out of hand and people started throwing chairs from the balcony, mind you,it being welfare wesnday might of had something to do with people acting up,lol,as a kid,it was awesome.
It’s interesting that years later Goldberg hurt Bret and gave him a concussion. Sounds like Karma from him hurting Bad News
A Bret Hart fan but u could be telling the true.. He did hurt other wrestlers 2 or 3 say this including Bad News..
@@julbri7105 well hurting a wrestler from using a steal chair is different than hurting him from just wrestling movies and stuff like that.
@@julbri7105 whos the other 2 or 3? Well no shit if u hit a person with a steal chair in the head it can hurt, is that really causing injury, theres no way around it.
Bad News is bitter . He was ok with Bret till Bret moved up the cards. It was a kendo stick not a full force kick to the head while running full speed or a guy letting your head drop to the concrete floor.
Anyone got a link to the match bad news mentions here?
Bad news was a great heel.
Bad news talked like clubber lang.
