The new live action series is sooooo freaking good, I watched it twice. Even though there were a lot of changes, I still loved every single bit of it xxxxxxxx
The creators have completely ruined some of our favorite characters. Aang and Soka especially didn’t exemplify the roles which made them great in the original. Aang’s progression as a bender is a constant theme that was ignored which makes him look weak and Soka not emphasizing his leadership skills and desire to be a warrior makes him useless (and as a non bender he doesn’t find his place). The only character who actually grows is Katara which there seemed to be a lot of focus on, but the show is ATLA not Katara the water bender
@@surajkhatau8295 Sokka honestly kind of sucked for much of the anime, so I find him much improved in the live action. The fact that they are all aged up as well makes the increased maturity more believable and is more palatable for adults. On the whole I thought that the changes due to the needs of a more compact story were very thoughtful and worked well. It’s a matter of opinion at the end of the day but I think saying that the characters were "commletely ruined" is an exaggeration regardless of whether you liked the changes or not.

@surajkhatau8295 you think Sokka's character was underdeveloped?? I was really happy to see more aspects of his personality and more emotion from him. I always thought he was a lil too nonchalant in the animated version when he went through the same traumas as Katara, but somehow SHE was the one who assumed the majority of caretaker responsibilities in their dynamic and was seemingly more affected. Of course we got glimpses of how Sokka felt, there's a couple times where he's upset about Yue and then the conversation with Toph about his mom later in book 3, but those were like "hidden" moments and I feel like it was really refreshing to see him step up and also express his feelings more. A lot of the changes and shifts were definitely jarring for me don't get me wrong I'm a lifetime fan and no art can exist without criticism lmao but this video we're commenting on is specifically about the visual effects and I'm gonna give that team their flowers for sure because it was gorgeous!! ❤️🔥 seeing Koh this time around literally gave me chills they did such a good job! 👏🏾

I really hope they get the budget to do one or two more episodes bc the pacing was waaay too fast IMO, that’s my only real critique and I know it wasn’t their fault bc it was probably due to budget constraints. I think that would also have solved the exposition problems. I seriously am *begging* for a second and third season ❤❤❤
I haven’t finished the season yet but so far I’m really loving it. It seems like the changes that they’ve made were only to cut out some of the filler episodes in season 1 so I’m proceeding with cautious optimism. I just hope that with the changes they have made, that they’ll keep it consistent. And that’s the main thing really. As long as it stays consistent from what I’ve seen so far, this is going to be an amazing show.
It doesn’t. Aang and Soka have no character development and their story is not entertaining to watch. I cringe seeing how little they grow and find pride in their talents, Aang as a skilled bender and Soka as a leader. The show makes them look so weak and needy. I was so disappointed
I liked appa but Momo is so cool, it's not as cartoonish as the tv show but still has a personality while still being a real lemur, something so hard to accomplish, remember the live action Lion King ? Kuddos and a big hug to all the 3D Artist, animators, VFX artist, and everyone who was involved into making this show, it was a really great work! Thank you!
Man this series exceeded my expectations. Ngl they were very low after that disaster of a movie we got and just because of how OG the original series is. But WOOWWWW THIS IS AMAZING!! You can tell they put their hearts and soul into this and it definitely paid off. The effects, the graphics, CG, audio, acting, chemistry is great. Man some those scenes with Zuko and Iroh really hit. APPA, MOMO, and KOH look amazing. Well done. The bending is 10/10 for me. Wish we could’ve saw more earth bending but we’ll get that eventually assuming they continue with a season 2. I also really like each episode is about an hour long. Really gives enough time to flesh everything out.
The obvious problem with the show is that the character development for Aang and Soka fell flat. Aang learning to be a strong bender and Soka wanting to a leader and warrior was completely ignored and he instead wants to be a “mechanist”. This fundamentally changes character motivations and is cringe to watch. Katara is the only one who makes progress in her training and growth as a character but the show is ALA not Katara The Water bender
Astounding job of the whole team!!! I loved every bit of it. It is clear you had a vision and everyone worked really hard on it and with heart! Thank you
The visuals, the cast, the sound were really good. I really wanted to see Katara and Aang learn water bending from master Pakku but that was eliminated
I loved Momo, he was amazing! I've always said that the characters that dont have a voice often have the best personalities and you guys outdid my expectations of Momo. Thank you
The creatures were sorely missing the last time this was attempted. The fact that there's more than just Appa and Momo in this series make me so happy.
It is a great mixture of different chapters. Yet misses important parts as when Zuko steals Aangs body in the northern water tribe and the friends find them and Zuko was knocked down and Aang decides not to leave him. THat was an amazing spiritual teaching of Aang's noble spirit. THe adaptation is pretty good, hopefully the spiritual teachings dont get missed in the next seasons. I hope that the episode of the desert when Appa is stolen and they have to walk and Sokka drinks that hallucinogenic cactus is not cut off the next chapters. That library episode is quite important and fun and sad.

The amount of work these people went into making the hybrid animals as realistic possible is amazing and I’m excited to see what other hybrid animals they’ll do in the upcoming seasons
I actually loved the entire live action. There may have been few things that seem weird, like Kyoshi having more screentime than Roku in season 1, the gang not being too interactive with each other as expected, the rush in some episodes because of how many episodes they joined together as one. But honestly, I really liked it. Live action is not supposed to be a 1v1 adaptation to the original, that wouldn't make sense at all. I just hope that all those criticizing and insulting the show can keep their reviews to themselves, because we don't need their bunch of bad ratings otherwise Netflix will see the show as a let down and reframe from making seasons 2&3, and that's what's worrying me. For me , I give it an 8/10 or 9/10 rating. They did a really good job, unlike that mediocre 2010 movie.
this is HYPE! :D amazing work, you see the passion you work with here, and also how amazing it is realizing how the actors act with of course no real momo or emotive appa (nonetheless tried to give it a lot).
I hope we'll get the season 2 & then 3 too with time! Personally I liked the show. I know some scenes & back stories of the characters were different here, but it wasn't actually a huge problem to me, cause I'll always love the original story in my heart no matter what & I can't say netflix didn't do justice to all of them overall. Imo I feel they did their best in some scenes where I exactly got goosebumps watching them, & they were literally right out of the animation. & Also some scenes did their best to include all the characters & details we knew. & Finally there were scenes that was new, & yeah it's true that still I'd have liked them as they were in the animation but still a part of me liked the whole show including all the new things they added too (like avatar Kyoshi's appearance on the kyoshi island! I could still rewatch that as long as you ask for it!), cause I don't see any point of complaining about it just because of some differences that they also made to actually include every thing & person we knew from the show. I liked that at least every character we loved were mostly included there & the changes of some background stories they made, didn't actually made a huge impact on the whole story as I feel it. So I definitely wanna see the next season! I hope you'll look forward to it netflix! Maybe you can gain what you lost, in the next season. It's okay that you consider everyone's thoughts about this, actually you should & hope you can improve in most of the ways that fans expect it to be. This show was overall good. I actually enjoyed this, even when i was like wait this is not how it was done, but still I could enjoy the show. That's what I'm saying this needs to have a next season. Cause it's not a bad show to let it down!
The fact that the owl was in the first season makes me worried he won't be in the library in the second. Why'd you have to confuse us like that? This is just one complaint I have out of a few. Pretty good remake so far still though, and you nailed the creature CGI. That was brilliant.

that was ignored which makes him look weak and Soka not emphasizing his leadership skills and desire to be a warrior makes him useless (and as a non bender he doesn’t find his place). The only character who actually grows is Katara which there seemed to be a lot of focus on, but the show is ATLA not Katara the water bender
Wrong. It was garbage
They did such an amazing job with the entire series
Who else wants to see toph?
Netflix a season 2 pls
Me
THE SPIRITS WERE SO SCARY Y'ALL DID AMAZONG WITH THE EFFECTS!!!!! SEASON 2 SEASON 3 SEASON 4 5 6 😂❤️🔥
I would like to see like 30/40 seasons of avatar netlix and stranger things, if they made em haha
If I just watched shows for their effects I would see a Micheal Bay movie. There was no character development from Aang and Soka at all and the show fell flat. I’d stick to the originals
@@amirahchatman7423 everyone these days can have good effects. It’s industry standard at this point. I do expect the writing to be good, and Soka’s character feeling grief is not a problem, but I didn’t see much admirable traits and character progression as they set out on their journey. I focus on good story and this was not it. I’ll stick to the originals, good graphics or not
@@surajkhatau8295so dumb and idiotic for you to compare live action adaptation to the animated one. Anyways, you are just a NOBODY so your opinion is futile. Lol
The CGI And VFX Team Really Spent There Time Bringing Our Favourite Animals And characters Alive The Bending Looks So Awesome, And The Backgrounds Are Insane! The Fox Sprit Was So Epic And Koh Looked So Real! Earth bending visuals look great as well as fire and air, Water is Highly Sophisticated And Complex To Animate And They Nailed It! The Avatar State, Was SO EPIC!!! The Way the Arrows Glowed Through A Wide Amount Of Patterns Was So Cool! They Brought Our Childhood Alive And The Nostalgia Is Real, Time Has Gone By Fast…
0:43 Oh Wow, I Just Realized Appa Brought Aang His Staff back when He First Appears! Amazing Special Effects and Over All Capturing the Essence of the Avatar Series.
As a character artist it's awesome to see the turntables! Thanks!
I had my fair and square pain with fur and seeing those amazing high quality creatures in "just" a series is really a joy!
Great job to the whole vfx team!
“Say something kind”
Me: that’s a well designed grizzly 🐻
"Fans are gonna love the humor." There wasn't enough humor. Give us funny comic relief Sokka!
They really did a phenomenal job with the animals
The special effects team, CGI team, and costume team carried this series.
What does CGI mean?
Computer Generated Imagery , Google is a thing No?

the visuals and creatures were the best done part of the show

... and the only good done part of the show.
Plot-wise it's not that great. I don't like some of the changes they made but I blame Netflix's 8 episode season format@@surajkhatau8295
Fantastic job with the adaptation! Really recaptured the magic of the show while still providing something new.
The deeper characterizations beautifully enhanced things
I cried when momo was hurt. I felt the pain when momo got hurt 😅
Don't care about the nit pickings people have but the designers, animators, researchers, CG artists, I am so grateful for your work.
Trash
Its cute, but it is not Avatar.
Congrats guys…this was amazing❤
I know its expensive to do but I want more Appa in season 2. I felt like he had too small of a role in the live action compared to the animation.
Well, if they do a season 2 that is going to be inevitable considering what happens in the original show!
Appa's lost days...... Oh gosh
I really hope they get the budget to do one or two more episodes bc the pacing was waaay too fast IMO, that’s my only real critique and I know it wasn’t their fault bc it was probably due to budget constraints.
I think that would also have solved the exposition problems.
I seriously am *begging* for a second and third season ❤❤❤
appa will be more in s2 remember he got stolen , so appa must be shown more in s2
Appa and Momo's screen time is like less than 1 minute. So thank you for that.
yeah it's quite funny how both are completely gone for massive stretches of the series. so stupid.
Thank you!
This series is really Amazing..
Hope Season 2 will come asap..
The show brought back some amazing memories. It was great. Can't wait for season 2
No they didn’t. It was worse than the Shemaylan movie. The acting was cringe and chucky cheese like. And Azula looked like a sumo wrestler
Zuko is one of the best character in this world, the actor made a really good job ❤ love Zuko❤ I want season 2❤
Im happy to see good comments heres. Theres plenty of entitled fans demanding things or complaining.... but I loved this first season!!!!!
Nobody likes it. It’s trash
0:49 “ Sorry Katara “ Aang is cooked .
I completed full season in just 2 days. It's a great visual treat and also a wonderful story makes it so immersible❤❤❤
Took me from Thursday through Sunday so 3 days
I really liked this adaptation. I hope they make more seasons
Astounding job of the whole team!!! I loved every bit of it. It is clear you had a vision and everyone worked really hard on it and with heart! Thank you
3:14 I definitely loved seeing avatar world brought to life with such great finesse☺️❤️ Fantastic job team❤️🔥
The visuals, the cast, the sound were really good. I really wanted to see Katara and Aang learn water bending from master Pakku but that was eliminated
Bit of a creative oversight. But that couldn’t ruin my enjoyment so easily
I loved Momo, he was amazing! I've always said that the characters that dont have a voice often have the best personalities and you guys outdid my expectations of Momo. Thank you
Visual effects were great. Seriously better than some recent blockbuster movies. I hope you guys get a second season.
The creatures were sorely missing the last time this was attempted. The fact that there's more than just Appa and Momo in this series make me so happy.
I screamed when I saw Appa! I love Appa so much, and cute Momo... Couldn't wait until he was found. 😍😍😍😭Great job!
So amazed by these movie series. Specially Zuko.. finally I understand why he become like that. So many pain that he carried.. SEASON 2 please..
Loved the show! Hopefully there will be a season 2!
awesome show..the casting was right on for al characters
This is by far my most favorite cartoon And I must say. I absolutely loved this first season.

The only reason I watched all episodes is because of the VFX ,CGI and Costume designs. The backgrounds, the spirit monsters everything was really well done. It did feel grounded.
The plot and direction made my head hurt tho. I'm still looking forward to it.

Appa is so adorable and they did a great job on the CGI😊
That half bison scared the shit out of me for a second
The editors was hero in this type of projects 🎉
As a huge fan of the animated series, I thought the merging of similar episodes (like the freedom fighters and the king of Omashu) for an 8 episode series was the best idea. As much as I wanted every scene to be as similar to the animated series, I couldn't have wanted it any other way.
A carbon copy would have been so boring! But I couldn’t agree more
I haven't felt this satisfaction of seeing such good special effects since Narnia in 2005, they really introduced me to the fantasy world of Avatar.
If I just watched shows for their effects I would see a Micheal Bay movie. There was no character development from Aang and Soka at all and the show fell flat. I’d stick to the originals
This was an incredible adaption, PLEASE RENEW FOR SEASON 2
I love this show. You guys did an excellent job bringing it alive. I wish it was little longer but please continue and make the second and third season and do not stop there continue through the transition period between Aang and Kora. And I love to see Korra live action also. Thank you.
The amount of work these people went into making the hybrid animals as realistic possible is amazing and I’m excited to see what other hybrid animals they’ll do in the upcoming seasons
While the show was different in parts than the animation, I think they did justice to having a live adaptation. Hoping for a season 2 and 3!!
Make it 10 or 12 episodes on season 2
Season 1 seemed a bit rushed sometimes
The kyoshi scene and its resemblance enchanted me.
this is HYPE! :D amazing work, you see the passion you work with here, and also how amazing it is realizing how the actors act with of course no real momo or emotive appa (nonetheless tried to give it a lot).
Masterpiece feeling nostalgic my childhood 🥹
shoutout to the work on the spirits, cause they looked awesome!
Wow... just wow! Love how they adapted the animals from the anime! Really believable and lovable 🥰
Honestly, hats off to the entire crew. The show is MAJESTIC. I cannot wait to see the fire bending masters (dragons)
I want to see more of the avatar in the next season! is fun to watch .
Hands down to all part of this series!!!
Appa and Momo need more screen time!
The fact that the owl was in the first season makes me worried he won't be in the library in the second. Why'd you have to confuse us like that? This is just one complaint I have out of a few. Pretty good remake so far still though, and you nailed the creature CGI. That was brilliant.
I got more excited watching this video than the trailer itself. Amazing work, amazing visuals.
I want to see that perfect jump to appas back done by katara and aang in the last episode
They all looked fantastic!
Amazing Work Team🎉
It literally feels like another World 🌍 altogether
Especially the Squirrel in cave scene the details of his tongue & teeth were amazing in low light😮
I started to show more affection to the show each by each episode (Avatar Kioshi scared me in Episode 2’s final battle it was so good bro)
Appa is sooooo cuteeeee.
sound tracks.. gives goosebumps
Netflix did justice to this show. Thankyou 🙏🏻
