- We have now lost yet another place to park. Trucks used to be able to park here but no more. Since I shop here I talked to the manager and they said that the employees are tired of pickup up all of the garbage and human waste left in the parking lot. Also, they commented that the trucks were parking where the cars are which is what I have said here before. When we do this we can't really complain about not having anywhere to park. It seems to be a constant issue. Why do we do this? Grown adults need to stop living like animals. If we as truck drivers want to be treated like professionals we can't be doing this. This Sunday Rant is a serious one. I am constantly disgusted by this.

The problem is that alot of us truck drivers are disgusting... so as a trucker i agree with the stores not letting us park!!

Yeah man that really makes me mad when I see bags of trash and piss bottles everywhere, it's those entitled drivers you know, they're missing their mama out on the road That there used to them cleaning after them

I did call out a driver once. Mankato, Minnesota... down the street from a Walmart DC, a closed-down Gander Mountain store, I witnessed a driver literally drop a bag of trash out his window. Instead of confronting him, face-to-face, in the middle of the night, I taped a note to his window, explaining, to pick up his own trash, or they would close this parking lot to truckers altogether. When I woke up in the morning, amazing enough, the trash was gone. 😃👍
I've been driving 22 years. I've seen many places disappear that once let us park there due to filthy drivers doing exactly what you mentioned here.
I remember your older videos from the older days of the channel. You filmed at the same site and there were dozens of trucks here. Sadly, none of them are here anymore. Meijer had great tolerance for them staying here, however drivers with no ethics destroyed it for everyone. 😢
Same here in Texarkana,TX. Walmart and Home Depot put up signs as well. The city passed an ordinance against overnight parking because so many residents were complaining about drivers standing out in the open urinating on the parking lots, throwing their trash out, trucks running over the buggy corals. It's our own fault.
There's a Walmart in Nebraska off of I-80. It has designated truck parking spots. I parked there one time and in the morning some driver had put 2 full gallons of urine in the shopping cart and left it in front of another truck. Unbelievable
The industry has become so desperate that they will put anything behind a wheel just to get the truck moving.
Eventually when all the extra parking places like this go away, companies will have to pitch in for shared yards in strategic areas and have a full time turd fairy patrol against trash droppers.
That store will also be losing some revenue from all the drivers that liked to shop there.

I soooooooooooooooooo hate when truckers do that. We lost parking 2 blocks from my house that was available for years because truckers were being disgusting instead of taking care of that gift of free secure parking. The manager told me that she did not pay here employees to clean after truckers. I was pissed, but how could I blame her?
I always say I don't blame Cracker Barrel and Buc-ee's (and now Meijer) for not allowing truckers to park because so many truckers are disgusting people!! I call out disgusting drivers, and they get mad at me and cuss at me for telling them the truth! If I owned a truck stop, I wouldn't allow parking for truckers!!! They block entrances and exits, destroy the place, steal, etc... 😖😖😖

You don't pack garbage out, you throw it out. Don't park at stores, go to truck stops or rest areas where you have access to a bathroom all of the time.
Drivers ALWAYS ruin it for other drivers. If we police ourselves it would fix this issue
These are the same drivers that wear there street clothes when sleeping and never clean the inside of the truck.
They should’ve charge drivers $25 a night to park there. Then give it to some guy to clean it up in the morning. Drivers are just pigs and makes the profession degrading.
And most of it is people fresh off the boat, that are used to living their lives, like they were still in the homeland.

Yeah I got asked to go to Los Angeles a couple of weekends ago, and I parked in an offramp somewhere out in the desert in California, and there was another truck parked next to me. When I woke up in the morning, there was a bag of trash
I confronted a driver who threw out something nasty in a bag. He flipped me the bird and drove off. He wasn’t from the US. That’s all I’m going to say about that
I saw a guy go between his truck and trailer to go pee at a rest stop. The door to the bathroom 🚽 was 50 ft away. I called him out he just stopped and got back in his truck.

EXACTLY!!! Poo and Pee disposal in the parking lot. I completely agree. I don't blame Miejer or Walmart one bit for kicking us truckers out of their parking lots. One bad apple... ruins the bunch

Yes Mark YES.......I have exclusively parked at Walmart since 1990. Why? because I haul light, don't idle and I walk around and pick up trash.
I've seen these animals pissing at the FUEL ISLAND!!!, I've seen them dump their crap bags at rest areas....20 ft from a dumpster....ANIMALS!!!
It's not just new guys, I've seen seasoned OO's do it and new Swift do it. I saw a guy do it at a jobsite,......40 ft from a porta john, on the new concrete. WTF, ANIMALS, disgusting ANIMALS. Nothing can be done, just find a new place to park.

Why don't they allow truck parking anymore, let's take a guess? Garbage in the lot, trucks taking up customer parking, am I getting warm?

They should build a massive truck stop in San Francisco. No one will be complaining about poop bags over there. Poop on the sidewalk is quite a thing there these days

It's not Americans who leave poo bags....it's people from countries where crapping in the street is commonplace, and a good number were let onto our land via Canada

Great talk Mark! Good ol Lafayette, yea there always used to be like 6-7 trucks parked out there. great place to be a truck driver... I almost miss it there sometimes..

And this is why I always pick up trash at rest areas and dump it into the nearest trash can. Just part of my evening amd morning walks before and after a day of driving. I only camp down at rest areas.
OK. Consensus is we do it to ourselves. So, how is it fixed? A good majority of those being trashy are forgein born. But the home grown seem to be just as lazy. Same ones who take 30 in the fuel aisle. Besides calling them out what can be done?
Always said drivers can't act right. They are so bad they live and act like pure trash lowlifes. I wouldn't want people like that on my lot either. Even if there were trash cans or dumpsters, they wouldn't use them. I don't blame businesses for kicking drivers out.

Too bad the DOT or the FMCSA doesn’t mandate toilet/showers on these OTR trucks. That and require truck stops to have “GreyWater” stations for said trucks 😅
If they did, it would end up like those dilapidated idle air stations 😂 and some drivers would just let it pour out on the road or during a rain storm to avoid any extra inconvenience or fees.
New laws will do nothing to increase integrity and responsibility in people, which is what needs to happen. More regulation will only further the burden to companies and create unforseen other issues on the road. Just do not be a freaking slob would go a long way. And call those out who are slobs might help.
Individual companies can, and should, do more to control their drivers. Penalties for getting caught doing that kind of behavior, etc, would be a good start.

Well my babies daddy is a trucker and he poops in a bag but he puts it in the trash and he also piss in a milk jug but he's able to pour it in the grass.

What has happened is multiculturalism they brought their lifestyle with them.
If there's trash cans drivers will use then, also moms put baby poop in trash cans all the time so why don't grown ups.
Not true. I've seen them throw trash out the window when a trashcan is next to them
Drivers need to have their moms ride along with them to change their diapers and ensure the trash gets put in the can😂
I have seen many drivers not use nearby trash cans. Go to almost any truckstop and see for yourself. Not enough of us will pass an overflowing trash can to find one with room either.
And he's not talking about emptying trash cans that have poop bags. Many slobs throw them on the ground next to their trucks. Again, go to most any truck stop and observe, you will see.

No matter who's fault it really is, it just keeps reminding me of how horribly treated truckers really are in the USA. We have to be one of the most hated and underappreciated workers we really are. It's another reason why my tolerance for humans is so damn low. But yea don't leave your diarrhea bags on the lot and drive off without wiping ur a$$

Walmart sells a porta potty for travel. We need truck manufacturers to create a little more interior space for these things.
I wish there was a way to get these bums out of the industry. I don't use truck stops myself these days but I recently stopped at a Loves to use the restroom. I parked in a spot and on my walk to the building I saw no less than 4 poop bags on the ground that had been ran over and smeared. After returning to my truck I watch a nearby truck roll down his driver window and empty his pee bottle on the ground. Truckers have become some kinda disgusting.
😂 , that’s a damn LIE and you know it. Truck stops has Security Cameras and so does most trucks, just because you saw someone pouring out old stale coffee doesn’t mean it was urine. Also I don’t believe Mark was trying to start a TRASH THE TRUCKER CHANNEL, these Sunday Trucking Answers are a REAL TREAT; AND I ENJOY THEM EVERY SUNDAY, SO KNOCK OFF THE BS.
