In your data at 19:00, which is for the Aura shakers, it hits almost 0.6g in the first frequency and roughly 0.2g in the other frequencies. At 19:03, which is the Buttkickers, the first frequency only gets to just barely over 0.2g and the rest looks about the same or less than the Auras. I'm sure what you're feeling is probably different from what the numbers actually show, but according to your data, the Aura bass shakers are transferring much more energy into your tablet than the Buttkicker Mini bass shakers at the first frequency. You have to look at the range on the right side of the tablet. The range for the Auras goes from 0g to 0.6g and the Buttkicker range only goes from 0g to 0.4g. Going strictly by the numbers, I would pick the Aurasound Pro bass shakers. Even at the lowest frequencies, the Auras are getting over 0.1g and the Buttkickers appear to only get less than 0.05g. Like I said, what you actually feel in your environment is probably different from the numbers, and you obviously subjectively prefer the Buttkickers in your environment. Thanks for all the testing and data!

Would you say the auras are good enough? Do you really need anything below 20hz, does it really add to the experience? My reciever does 100w per channel,20hx cut off, which can power the aura fine, but buttkicker, even the small ones are all power hungry from what I hear so I would need to buy an amp

Just curious if you have checked the frequency response of your source and your amp? It is not at all uncommon for them not to expend energy below the threshold of "human hearing"... so not much below 20Hz or above 20kHz... That applies to your player too.
You may want to verify the 3bB (half the amplitude) down point of each part of your chain and not just the transducer. The transducer can be able to get really low but it won't move if it is not being fed.

Hey curious since it seems those butt kickers require more amplification... don’t you think you would be better off at running just 2? And you would get better performance than running 4? Can you run a test with just 2 and see if you get even more impact since those 2 would be using more of their potential?

So far from different people videos that I have watched only show them with 5 different amps, simulation kits, individual control systems and ETC. After watching this video, I decided to give the mini LFE buttkickers a shot. Not off to a good start. For some reason, they shipped separately and the first one to arrive rattles like a jackhammer. While I could lubricate it, I shouldn't need to. There are some qc issues in any industry. I plan to check the second one out when it arrives. I did notice that my aura, in a side by side, seemed to shake down to frequencies I didn't realize it did. I can't legitimately compare it to the buttkicker as the buttkicker is clearly not operating correctly. Hopefully I get the same improvements you found.

Love the Home Theater videos, have been watching quite a few of them through lockdown improving my home setup and things have moved on quite a long way.
One thing I've circled back to (which is how I found you on RUclips) is Bass Shakers.. (now I have the sub bass sorted :-)
Loved the review of Buttkicker Mini LFE vs the Auras.. (which swayed me to get a Buttkicker).... then the main dealer over here in the UK suggested I look at the Earthquake MQB-1 instead as it's their go to shaker? (or the Aura). They sell all 3 brands but they think the Earthquake unit is the best fit for most setups as it has a small footprint, gives great output, high sensitivity and is apparently the quietest itself when listening at lower volumes, where as the Buttkickers can often be heard buzzing (or even bottoming out if pushed too hard).
On paper the Earthquakes seem to be listed down to 15Hz but I've read people say they're good down to 10Hz.
Was the Earthquake something you considered? I mostly listen at about -26 -> -24db level and don't run my sub too hot over it's 75db calibrated level as I have a wood floor (carpeted though) but directly attached neighbors :-(
I was thinking a shaker is what I need to keep the sub a little lower but keep that tactile feel.

@@reviewgodusa9613 I have the auras and they are great for an entry level, but only if you use them in conjuction with the bass otherwise they become too gimmicky, they go reasonably deep by themselves.
I run them on "low volume" from a old subwoofer amp, they really perform great on "Prometheus" with the spaceship flying in the intro (start from 2 min all the way to 4 minutes in, same for "Tron legacy" where the guy gets picked up by the first ship about 25 minutes in
I wish that I had gotten shakers before I did, but I can never go back. I myself am going to upgrade to the LFE minis just because I want a tiny amount more shaking since my single 12" (sealed) only goes down to 27Hz
and the way I use my shakers is as a measure to fill in the sound gap from 50 hz and below where my sub struggles, that way I can atleast feel what the bass otherwise can't produce at the same volume, it really helps alot
I think that you might be satisfied with the Auras, but there is no replacement for multiple huge subs that move a lot of air that you can feel in your chest :)

I highly doubt that they are the same though
a cinema is usually a lot different from a smaller home theater with different acoustics and "atmosphere", also cinemas have HUGE subs so for me its hard to tell if the chairs would be shaking with the transducers or from sheer bass alone... hmm

It's MUCH more challenging to push a significant amount of air with a diaphragm at single digit frequencies than spin an unbalanced motor at the same frequency.
Different amps have different function and specs. Crowson motion amps go down to 5hz.
