A couple of years ago I installed two 16 ohm tactile transducers (about $20 ea) from Parts Express in the love seat of my Marantz/Definitive Tech/ SVS 5.2.2 Atmos home theater. They're wired in parallel and powered by an inexpensive Fosi Audio MO-3 amp from Amazon. I can say without question they have made the biggest improvement in the enjoyment of my home theater experience in the 40 years I've been an enthusiast. With a pair or two of these you would easily notice the improvement in the ultra low frequencies even if you were running four subs. One of the best under $100 investments I've ever made! Two years in and I'm content with the performance of the smaller transducers and see no need to step up to the bigger and more expensive bass shakers.
All my friends surprised how my small subwoofer shakes the couch, they have no clue.
I live in apartment installed Polk magnifi mini ax + Dayton Bass shakers

I just installed some bass shakers in my home theater and I am completely floored with the results. This was far one of the best investments I’ve made so far to my home theater. I have a full Dolby Atmos 7.4.4 setup. I have four 12 inch subwoofers included in my setup. These bass shakers are a must have period. I own the AuraSound AST-2B-4 Pro Bass Shaker Tactile Transducers. I’m using three Emotiva A-100 amplifiers to push 6 bass shakers. Just one bass shaker for each my theater seats.

I have the Aura installed in my theater 2 yrs ago and they are amazing.
Bass shakers are a blast. I have 2 (cheapies) mounted on both my sofa and love seat, powered by my old Denon receiver that has pre-ins that I have connected to the LFE connector on my JBL SPD-40 pre-pro. Kicks arse!

Great video! Can't believe it doesn't have more views. Is the sound during the demo from your cup just rattling around?
Yes. There's a resonant frequency somewhere with the cup that makes it at a different frequency than the one he's demonstrating. You can hear it null out at 30Hz but then come back in.
how effective would that be for making my upstairs neighbours' life miserable, if installed in my ceiling? They keep jumping and thumping on my ceiling all day long! (serious question)
I've never tried it - but I would imagine these would actually be very effective! LOL!
For even greater effect, port some big 15" woofers into your ceiling in an infinite baffle configuration... that'll show 'em!

I have two 16 ohm shakers in parallel and it's a mess of wires, marrettes, and electric tape. Looks a little simpler in series here, but I wish they just had something that didn't require so much jury rigging.

You will never have any roaches move into those chairs.
My manual say they have to be perpendicular to ground .
What brand did you buy? My Auras did not come with an instruction manual but the ADX shakers did, it clearly states they can be mounted in a horizontal or vertical configuration. The Auras should be the same.
I bet it would be incredible to watch the transformers movies on ur setup
I have Soundshaker system and like the idea of controlling the intensity with the Harmony. However, doing a search for the MCM IR device has brought me to several websites that don’t have them in stock. Is there another device like the MCM out there? Thanks!

Hi, It's possible to connect this system to a sound bar home theater system like a Nakamichi Shockwafe Ultra 9.2 SSE?
Unfortunately it doesn't seem like the system you mentioned has an RCA output that you could attach another amplifier to in order to drive the bass shakers. If your TV has RCA outputs, you could try plugging an amplifier into it and running these bass shakers from that.

@@TwoGuyzTech I'm pretty new at this. This soundbar has 2 subwoofers with rca output. It is possible to output from the subwoofers to the amp/pre-amp of the bass shakers power source? Thanks.
i know this is late but u can tap the subwoofer speaker and use a line output converter to get a rca out that u can use on an amp to power the bass shakers
How would I go about hooking these up? I have a 9.4.6 theater and want to add bass shakers, 8 in total. Do I need a processor with more channels or can I hook that many into what I have?!
Thanks for watching! We used a Y splitter out of an LFE port from our processor into another amplifier to hook these up to. You can also use less channels from your amp depending on how you wire them up (series or parallel) so you don't need a separate amp for each bass shaker. Hope this helps!

Thanks! Yep, you can wire them like any other subwoofer. I do recommend having some kind of level control, whether it be your receiver's bass volume control or a line level controller like I used. I have noticed some movies are way to intense with the shakers, but others don't shake enough.
how did you setup the Logitech to control the RF device?
I used the Harmony desktop software, entered the model number of the MCM volume controller which uses IR, and synced it to the remote.
Can 1 amp that equals all 3 power this?
