This is exactly why ACDC are the best band in the world. The rhythm is so tight that superman couldn't even break it apart
This reminds me of the 1979 Paris concert when Angus's guitar went out during "Whole Lotta Rosie". A rare moment to experience the rhythm section in all their glory.
Absolutely! While poor Angus was suffering for oxygen and then kicks ass in the middle of the crowd!
@@jamesh1625 Can you blame him, though? I'm more amazed he hadn't passed out. The amount of heat in that venue coming from the crowd, the band and those lights has got to be boiling. I don't know whether you've ever been on a stage with those lights, but I can tell you they are ROASTING. It's like being in a sauna.
@@kgunitkeese17 You can tell in a lot of the concerts from the 70s (before AC became a thing in a lot of buildings) the musicians are always dripping gallons of sweat.
@@realjoshhayes Absolutely! The first concert I saw from the 70's was The Last Waltz. The concert that had The Band and guests. Robbie Robertson was sweating buckets. I think that concert was in 1976.
THANK YOU !!! 👍👍👍 The rock 'n roll machine that's called AC/DC. What an absolute powerhouse. Listen to Cliff at 4:17... Greatest rock band ever, nobody comes even near.
Chris Slade playing eighths on the hi hat- geezus.
Yeh for like half an hour - bloody hell!
Not to mention it's already hard af enduring it in 4/4 for the album version
Malcolm may not be the best rhythm guitar for critics and the public, but who is the bestest rhythm guitarist to me.
I don't think there's ever been a band more powerful & consistent 🤟🤟🤟
Thanks for this, I always go to their video to the 4:30 mark cause Angus guitar malfunctions and we're left with the rhythm section for about 7 minutes which is just heaven
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that always did that. I used to imitate Chris' drumming but I was constantly off time! 😂
@@kgunitkeese17 favourite part is when you see Malcolm with closed eyes just feeling the rhythm
Brian Johnson always talks about the “swing” in their music..... this shows it. Slade and Williams just so good
.......driving this song
When it comes to swing, no one can do it better than Phil on the drums
Chris can't groove like Phil
@@rohnakp2396 Ha, ha Phil wouldn´t be able to do this
@@tomasnilsson7818 Phil couldn’t do this, he can do much better than Chris.
@@tomasnilsson7818 he used to do way better
@@tomasnilsson7818 Phil did do it just as fast on the 1981 version of this song live.
4:16 That’s the first time I’ve heard the bass played differently. It sounds awesome. He should’ve done it more times.
he used to do it all the time back in the day
Or even here maybe, love the little licks and fills tossed in between 1:40
man...Malcom the iron hand....Chris Slade is an awesome drummer ..Live at Donigton is a one of the hardest and faster ac/dc albums...just the drum plates and the cymbal sooo fast mate...and the 2 side kick drums left and right....insane

I'm still amazed at how amazing this performance is, even though I've heard it so many times before, so utterly incredible! and your work here makes it even more notorious, really appreciate what you're doing, thank you for that!
