It's the holy grail of rhythm guitar start-up riffs, this one performance. Pure fucking rock n roll
@@tomgentry5987 Right on man I couldn't agree more. This show is the best live show ever for me, specifically the best moment being that exactly. No bullshit just the best tone and riffage of all time.
I can not believe dementia got him..
The greatest rhythm guitarist of all time
There is no Rock and Roll Band that is going to put on a better show than AC\DC! No Way!
Amen! Seen them on the Black Ice Tour in Ohio. Fucking amazing!
Not a chance any one would come close
Absolute legends!!!! No band will ever duplicate this energy and character. Thank you to All members of AC/DC!!! This is rock n roll!!
They're awesome but that's a bullshit statement. There are plenty of performers who and have been on par with them.
@@McFaddenWasRight no fucks given here bud
@1978 rm 50 fun agreed. Well, idk, that no one can ever duplicate their energy and character part…that may be going a little extreme. However, considering their age is what makes them so impressive to me. Shit, I mean Brian’s probably about there. The Youngs are probably not too far behind and they still move like they’re in their fucking twenties. That’s incredible. It’s their longevity that I find so impressive. There are many bands that come close, but none that put on this kind of a show at that age. So ultimately, I think you’re right.
@Wraith Ranger From Beyond I don’t think he made a bullshit statement at all. Sure, there are many other bands that do great concerts and genuinely try (tried for those who either broke up or disbanded due to the death of a key member or members) to give fans their money’s worth. The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Guns n Roses, The Eagles, Def Leopard, Bon Jovi, Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Foreigner, Journey, etc. You could name tons of great bands, but how many of them put on that kind of show routinely at that age? Brian Johnson is 75 now, which would have made him about 61 (14 years ago if I remember the year cited in the title correctly) in that video. I believe Angus Young is 67 now, which would have made him about 53 there. Whether or not other bands are “on their level” in terms of raw energy is subject to individual opinion. It’s highly debatable. I don’t think anyone else is simply due to the age factor. The only other band that could hold a candle to ACDC, as far as I’m concerned, would be the Stones, again, due to the age factor. That shit gets harder and harder to do, the older you get. That’s just my opinion though. Like Patrick Swayze said, OPINIONS VARY.
@Wraith Ranger From Beyond my bad. Wrong video. I was looking at a another video of a 2009 concert they did. Anyway, it still had Angus running around with his guitar like he was 20, no difference here from this one. They bring it regardless.
Noone ever gave us that raw power sound of a SG like Angus. It will be historic.
What do you mean 'will be'? Already is. I don't play an instrument, so I can't put it in technical terms, but he just sounds different to me. And to have fun and make you laugh as well as being an absolutely brilliant musician is the cherry on top of the cake. But the entire band is brilliant and so tight, it makes me want to listen to them at least once each day. Almost forgot - the velvet schoolboy outfit is so weird but yet so fitting. It Matches Angus' spirit perfectly.
😊
He made that SG crack with deep tone. Amazing. He still is.
Yep. However, I do chuckle at the mop of gray hair now.@@brentramsey

@@philiprooney3280 that's cool man, I still have the ticket stub from the dirty deeds concert at Market Square arena in Indianapolis Indiana from 1983. Ac/DC top 5 greatest rock n' roll band of all times, pure and raw and the definition of rock n' roll. 74 jailbreak is one of my favorite songs and live wire is one of my favorite albums. I'm a Bon Scott fan but I still like Brian Johnson.
I like River Plate much more because of the audience. Nothing can match the energy of the Argentinian fans. The fans here are pretty quiet and standing still all the time. But brilliant performance as always from AC/DC.
For me this one, River Plate, Apollo Theater 78', and Paris 79' are the best. Each in their own way.

What a treat in 91. Jailbreak, High Voltage. They dont play these anymore.

Well hopefully she's not mimicking Angus too closely based on the latter half of this video. Other than that good to hear.
Only one other guitarist I have ever seen live came close to the energy Angus puts out on stage...and it was a chick. Better than 90% of the male guitarist's I have seen, and I'm old school, drumming in many bands over the years. @Walter Rezendes & @6IX opinions vary, but I think the only other bands you could even put in the conversation with ACDC for that honor would be Guns n Roses, and the Stones, which still come in 2nd and 3rd to ACDC in my opinion. I think the Beatles would be right there too if they’d stayed together. There are tons of great bands out there, but it takes some massive talent, commitment, dedication, and cooperation to stay together and keep playing for 40+ years. If all of them were still alive, I believe this would be their 50th anniversary this year. That is if they’re still doing tours. I haven’t really looked into it. Regardless, that’s serious longevity right there.
Angus is an incredible guitarist who knows how to play with the audience with his riffs but the most powerful thing is the strip show which is literally incredible.

Agree wholeheartedly. When I first saw this video in the early 90s after it was released on VHS, it blew my fucking mind. That raw raucous attack when Malcolm bust out those opening chords, and that sound of his, oh my Lord I was in heaven! That's when I decided I wanted to play guitar and within months started learning by learning all the songs from the Donington show. Almost 30 years later, I'm still in love with this band. They've given me so much. The great times celebrated with this music in the background, they taught me to play guitar by producing records and songs that were simple enough for a beginner to pick up while at the same time providing elements that were challenging and required progression and practice. I like to tell people if you want to learn to play guitar, learn ACDC songs. They teach you all the basics and much much more than just that.
I can’t see anyone more talented and with such passion as this man. Such a gifted an beautiful artist.
