@@FYMM69 I was very lucky. I saw AC⚡DC first at small university gig. Angus got on Bon's shoulders & they walked around the audience. The second time they were supporting The Who at Wembley Stadium & The Who fans absolutely loved them. So tragic Bon passed at such a young age. I've always liked Brian & he is a good substitute.
I saw Bon and the band in Johnson City, Tennesee in 1979 at the Freedom Hall Civic Center. The opened for Rush and t he ticket price was a whopping $5.00! I didn't care much for Rush and only went to see AC/DC after being blown away when I heard 'Let There Be Rock' on the radio not long before the show. What a memory that I cherish to this day. @@timrose9175 Amazing you got to see Bon. Definitely memories to cherish. Very expensive! Did Bon & Angus do a walk around in the crowd - Angus sat on Bon's shoulders playing his guitar when you saw them? I saw AC⚡DC first at a university gig which cost around £2 & the second time it was an all day event at Wembley Stadium. London. UK The Who, The Stranglers, AC⚡DC & Nils Lofgren & tickets cost £8. The Who crowd absolutely loved AC⚡DC & my guess is some people were seeing them for the first time. I was devastated as well when I heard Bon had died. I've always liked Brian & thought he was a good substitute but I've never wanted to see them again. I used to live near the place in Camden where Bon died & every time I walked past the area all of my hairs stood on end!
I know why they sold so many Back in Black albums. Us kids had to buy four. Mom would break them over and over. That Devil music. Lolol. We rebellious kids? Best memories ❤❤❤
We played Over Dosed On You and as fare as I know back in the 70s we were the only band around Tennessee that played ACDC. Little did I know Angus and I were born days apart. I also played lead guitar.
They sure had a big impact on my life! I remember thinking once that usually when i hear an album from an artist, it's like 2-3 songs you really like and the rest of the album can be like meh.. I can't think of an ACDC song I did not like! Listening thru their albums for the first time, i was like WOW amazing song, the next song, same feeling! Hard to say you have favorite songs with ACDC since all their songs are pretty great! TNT, Giving the dog a bone! Moneytalks, Riff Raff, Stiff Upper lip, Cyberspace, Safe in new york city, Back in black, thunderstruck, All screwed up, Dirty Deeds done dirt cheap, Big balls, Can't stand still, Come and get it, Damned, dog eat dog, Fly on the wall, givin the dog a bone, have a drink on me, Hells bells, High Voltage, Highway to hell, house of jazz, its a long way to the top ( if you wanna rock n roll ), Meltdown, Money shots, Problem child, Satellite blues, she got balls, who made who and YOU SHOOK ME AAAAL NIGHT LONG!!! Those are all equally my favorite songs, but i still loved all the other songs too, but mainly these songs that I mentioned has given me memories, and made me feel on feelings which left a mark in my life as a memory that i can relate to every time I hear their songs! I remember how i used to ride my scooter/moped while listening to Stiff upper lip and Meltdown and when Angus came in with his iconic solos I could not sit still on that moped seat lol, people that saw me had to think I was nuts, i jumped up and down with my rare end from the seat in beat with the music lol! GREAT band! Also get annoyed when people say that ACDC is easy to play and that people who only knows to play ACDC songs have low guitar skills lol! Yes their songs are not super complex, but simple and their songs rock! Also saying that playing acdc is easy is actually not true. Many people that will show off that they know thunderstruck for instance, did like I did for many years, tapping the part Angus is playing, but guess what... he PICKS every note, even the pull offs gets picked, and it's not easy unless you are handy with alternate picking! The band is tight, and if you know how to play their songs, you are NOT a low skilled or mediocre guitarist, and if you DO know all their songs, you probably know how to play other songs too, so this "hope you know how to play something else than just ACDC" First off, it's not JUST ACDC.. its ACDC!!!! second off, never meet anyone in my life that knows how to play ACDC perfectly but can't play anything else lol!
