My uncle was best friends with Mal Young. They grew up together in Burwood. Uncle Donny told about the times they smoked weed and planted the leftover seeds in the front yard of the Burwood Police Station. Another time the band was at a photo shoot with photographer Philip Morris. Bon was missing so Mal asked Donny to go to Bons place and bring him back. When Donny got to Bon's, the front door was open and Bon was standing at the stove, bottle of whisky in one hand and a fork digging baked beans out of the tin direct from the hot plate....lol.
I could see Gene and Angus getting along since neither did drugs or booze. The guys in Rush tell some fun memories of the days opening for Kiss and said they did 10 shows where AC/DC opened the triple bill, I would have killed to have seen AC/DC, Rush and Kiss on one ticket, good or bad I live in Toronto and Rush could headline home town shows so we never got the double or triple header. Rush is probably grateful that Kiss got them over the hump into stardom before the record company closed them down being $350,000 in the red prior to 2112. You have to give Kiss credit for their shows and marketing plus all the talent they took on tour could give Kiss music lessons between shows

We remembered seeing you in an interview and you couldn't tell that bassist guy name
from kiss 🌩
@bonscott6353 ok... be honest.... did you write the lyrics to Back in Black ?
More more reunion tpur with the band, thanks ..
To this day I only listen to Bon, for me he is AC/DC. It was a sad day when I found out.
This is all old news and common knowledge here in Australia . I didn't hear anything from Gene revealing what killed Bon , have some respect ... just goes to show you yanks don't know everything like you think you do . R.I.P Bon . 🤔
This is old news here in the I.S. as well . If your upset about this , take it up with Gene , leave rest of us out of it .

Gene Simmons Reveals what 99% of AC/DC Fans already KNEW
It's not Gene's fault though. He's just having a simple conversation with this guy. And someone decided to put this dramatic title on it.

Give credit where credits due, Gene Simmons unselfishly did so much to help other bands get a break into the business, and for a so called ego maniac, he's very humble and kind individual to have done that. Much much respect for Mr Simmons.
Thanks for saying that. I’m reading alot of comments that seem full of jealousy?
I agree. Dude is a real class act!
I totally believe that arrogant douche stuff is just an act for the cameras. I had the pleasure of meeting Gene briefly in 2011, and he was a total gentleman. He made way more time to talk to me than I thought he would, as it wasn't even a meet and greet . It was almost disappointing that the guy who spits blood and fire was so normal!😆

For the non Australians here... Stevie Wright was the lead singer of The Easybeats. And George Young (Angus and Malcom's older brother) was their guitarist. Their most famous song is "Friday On My Mind" which Gary Moore released a live cover of in 1987.

Bullshit Gene. Most of those opening bands say Kiss was the WORST band to open for. No soundcheck and treated like dogs. Once VH blew you off stage you swore to never bring a good band as opener again.
Yeah was never really a fan of kiss either. They were just ok.
ACDC has only the Australian Fans to thank and not Gene Simmons. Bon Scott if alive would have nothing to do with Him. Angus Young has a Uncle who is from the easybeats...you know "Friday on my mind" He is responsible too and not fatbat.
@@MizzesBwasn’t Angus uncle it was Angus and Malcolm brother George Young from the Easybeats sadly George passed a month before Malcolm which hit Angus hard but i agree 100% both George Young and Harry Vanda were the ones who made AC/DC.
Yeah, I think Gene is being overly sentimental. It was always about him and kiss first.
Yeah Gene is full of shit and no one should take him seriously
The boys from ACDC are still so sincere when talking about Bon and Gene was so great at giving bands a chance 2 of the greatest rock groups.
Gene discovered AC/DC right after discovering Van Halen, sequencing the human genome, founding Apple Inc, inventing the game of golf, and killing Bin Laden

I would like to hear AI Bon Scott singing Back in Black.
It's on youtube, I heard it a few months ago now, I cannot remember the exact title, but it's there.
Sounded ok I guess.
I have definitely heard it. They tried to pass it off as "lost studio audio" at first, playing into the whole theory that Bon wrote the majority of lyrics for BIB (which I tend to believe).
I had it at one time, but I doubt I could find it.

ACDC briefly considered having Stevie Wright as replacement after Bon's passing. A quirky fact. Its a shame it didnt work out I think he would have been an excellent front man for the band.
Adam and Gene are a pleasure to listen to.
You have to give Kiss credit for their shows and marketing plus all the talent they took on tour could give Kiss music lessons between shows
Very interesting stories from Gene.
Gene is a good guy he does a lot for music 🎸
Listen to the albums after Bon passed away - they are all classics as well!

Big question was Malcom responsible for Bons note book disappearing. I dont blame him if it was
An author published a book maybe 10 years ago. About Bon Scott and swears up and down that used Heroin that night and died
Bull. Bon was an extreme heavy drinker.
If you know anything about UFO in the 70s a few of those guys were into it. Bon was buddies with them and spent a lot of his downtime w them. I dont think its out of the realm of possibility. Their lifestyle was about having a good time. AC/DC could not have that kind of publicity at that critical point in their career. I could see it being kept out of the public eye. Machine has to keep rolling.
Came across the same thing. Supposedly Bon had some dabbling with Heroin in the early days of joining the band. Malcolm caught wind of it and let him know there was no way he'd remain in the band doing that.

what a great guy man..
I'll ruin the suspense... Bom Scott was hanging out with heroin users the night that he died. Given his personality, would he have *not* experimented with it, too?
He drank heavily. And the combination of the two packs some unexpected synergy. He passed out drunk. Nothing new. But this time he had morphine (heroin metabolite) in his system. That can be fatal. And it was.
Jim Morrison was killed by heroin, as well. He mistook it for cocaine. Instant overdose.

Bon wrote all the lyrics to Back n Black with the help of the Young brothers. Don't be deceived by anyone, including the well known 🤡called Gene Simmons.
Gene couldn't shine Bon Scott's shoes
It's been known for years how Bon died.
Bull shit!! Bon was NOT their roadie. He was a cab driver, and the band was a fare. They were talking in the cab about how they needed a new singer, and Bon auditioned in the cab, and then they took him to the show and had Bon waiting in the back. When their front man failed, they called out Bon.
A clue for the clueless. No one cares what Gene Simmons "thinks". No one cares what Gene has to say. He is old. He has been irrelevant since the nineties. Bon Scott died when I was just nine years old, and I am fifty-four now. It is what it is.
