- In this video, we look at Ford CEO Jim Farley's recent announcement on the debut of five new automobile models in 2025. Ford lovers and automotive fans are in for a treat as the famous Ford Taurus returns triumphantly, promising to mix current innovation with the timeless appeal that made it a favourite. Along with this, the Ford Bronco Pickup Truck will reach the market, hoping to compete with the Jeep Gladiator and Toyota Tacoma thanks to its tough design and off-road capabilities.
But that's not all: luxury meets nostalgia with the reintroduction of the Lincoln Continental, a name synonymous with elegance and grace. This latest generation is projected to compete with premium sedans from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi, introducing a new yet timeless design to the luxury segment. Furthermore, the Ford Maverick Lightning is poised to electrify the compact truck industry, standing out as a flexible and environmentally responsible alternative to competitors such as the Chevrolet Colorado and Honda Ridgeline.
The surprises continue with the return of the Ford Ranchero, which combines the best of a pickup and a sedan and targets a distinct market niche that might pit it against cars such as the Subaru Baja and the Hyundai Santa Cruz. Each of these vehicles exemplifies Ford's dedication to innovation, design, and performance, paving the way for a competitive automotive environment in 2025. Stay tuned as we investigate the features, specifications, and possible impact of these intriguing new releases from one of the automotive industry's premier brands. The only hope for Ford's future is to improve their quality. Toyota's quality slide gives Ford a window of opportunity - which Ford will likely squander.
A Google search including the Ford site itself has nothing about this happening in the USA.
Precisely
They aren't selling ANY of the cars on the lots now. These people are out of their damn minds
There’s no proof this “announcement” is real. The video is BS
If you listen the video LITERALLY says 2025. It’s 2024. We still have another year. Attention to detail.
I am a Ford owner. My message to Ford is to cut the BS, return to basics. Good quality and affordable cars. No EV's, they are trash. No rebadging. Give me quality, quality. Affordable quality.
And a standard transmission option !!!!
EV's are trash.......Did you check with your "Political Party" first to find out how you should feel about it?
I agree with everything you said. Get back to rock solid engine/transmission combos. My 2.5 L fusion gets 37 hwy/22 city, forget eco-boost! The tech is the best it's ever been. Stop messing around and build a full size platform again. Police, cabs, limos and yes, ltb's (last time buyers ) need cars.
I agree with all 3 of you (Leclenand1, Juan and DonaldPiper). Give me a normal transmission, stable fuel efficient gasoline engine (I still think there is a ton of untapped potential from a well tuned V6 engine-transmission mating). Heck, I would even like to see a baseline vehicle with manual roll-down windows. I would love to see Ford return to its glory days, but I am afraid that is long gone. My first new vehicle as youngster was a 2001 Ford F150 (I was 25 at the time?) and that truck was a tank. No problems and always dependable..even in the freezing cold/snowy months. The only reason I traded it in was to upgrade to a HD truck to tow my trailer and boat. I am afraid that Ford has completely lost touch with the common person.
I hear you we don’t need anymore EVs I’m ford owner myself. I honestly think that they should go back to what works, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it
EVs. Won’t they ever learn?
No when Democrats are running the show! FJB

😂
I am waiting for new Ford EVs only. Much more driving fun than fossil fuel cars.
They should bring back the crown Victoria
Literally eas just thinking that
The Bronco pickup truck looks good. Same for Ranchero - if it has any power. Nobody wants EVs. My 2004 F-150 gets 500 miles per fill-up. Let me know when an EV can do that! Also, insurance is twice as much for an EV and lithium batteries have a tendency to catch fire! EV's are done!! 😂😂😂😂
Ford was so stupid to stop making the Fusion which was a huge hit. Three people I work with still drive their Fusions 60+ miles each way for work with one guy having 400k miles on his and looking for a low mile used Fusion to replace it with. The new Taurus might be right down all of their alley's as a replacement for some well used Fusions, as they have over 250k miles.
If I remember correctly, the first Fusion was a coop effort with Mazda. Second generation was Ford Germany. First generation was hard to fault.
It was their best selling car for many years after the 2nd generation came out, and it was the last model of car they quietly sold under they ended production in 2020.
And honestly, I believe that if they continued to improve on the Fusion, it still would have sold. Many car makers were exiting the passenger car market because most manufacturers stopped trying because the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord outsold them all. Toyota and Honda upped their game in the mid size market in the mid 2010s and everyone else did a half ass effort to basically say "tHaT's NoT wHaT pEoPlE wAnT aNyMoRe." Those cars still sell well in the US nowadays, proving the demand for that type of car has never diminished like most manufacturers would like to claim.
@@TheProgGuy I know 3 or 4 guys that would buy a new Fusion in a hot second if they were available. They got good to great mileage, were comfortable, affordable and bullet-proof.
what year and motor is your co-worker have?
@@AndyTN64 Which one? The one that went over 400K was a 2015 SE with the 2.5L non turbo, the others over I'm not sure the model years of the other 300K+ but they are all pre-2017 , two have the 2.0L EcoBoost and the last one is a hybrid.
I've been selling Ford since 1991 we need entry level vehicles to attract the just getting started in life family.
@@paulyarek agreed! And we need cars for police, limo, taxi and LTB (last time buyers) !
I don’t think anything in this video is true
All cars starting at an affordable $100k 😂
@Iceman bu1eg not true the current average for a new car in the US is 47,400 in 2024 and there are still models that start in the low 20,000 range like the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic while the cheapest midsize car starts around 30k the Toyota Camry and nearly half of the Camrys annual sales are in the US and the cheapest midsize American sports car the Ford Mustang sold 53,000 units in the US in 2023
@@courtneypuzzo2502 yes genius I know, it was a jab at high car prices.
And if you ask for a lower price they'll just bump it down about $100. Greedy suckers.
@@Iceman-bu1egsomeone clearly woke up on the wrong side of the bed
They need to bring back the crown vic
Not enough retail sales to justify it
I would prefer something like a high performance Falcon seden with the Mustangs drivetrain.
I bet that none of these New Revised Name plates ( vehicles) will be sold in North America ( USA) but most likely in the Chinese market as well as Theon Europe and Australia !!
The New Taurus was first introduced in China and it is now being brought into the USA. China, not the USA, is the world's biggest car market.
Why launch a bronco pickup when you have a new Ramger on the same platform. Won't that eat into each other"s sales?
Probably gonna retire the ranger.
Too bad that they didn't make a Ranchero based on the Panther platform - it could have been so great.
I agree! Bring back the Crown Victoria.
They should brought over the Aussie Falcon Ute .
Taurus never left. It went on vacation in AU and CN where it kept on thriving.
If Ford brings back the Taraus SHO I'll be rightbthere to get one. I have a 2010 SHO and we have had nothing but good times with it. 191,000+ miles.
Bring back an exact copy of the '67/68 Fastback Mustangs with huge motors . Torinos too .
I would love something like the old platform of the panther. That can do 500,000 mile be super reliable. And again dominate the full size arena.
I think most companies don’t know what people actually want in a vehicle. We want quality, good materials, sensible technology, enough power and delivery to get to where we need to go with a little extra for some fun and safely. We want a truck to be a truck, a car to be a car and an suv, well…. You know. And we want to be able to get at least 200,000 miles out of a vehicle before it rusts through. So many manufacturers focus on all the wrong things and are driven by profits.
Do they come with ford fire extinguisher 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It’s about DAMN time. Someone has been listening congratulations
Fords I have owned: 1967 Ford Galaxie, 1970 Ford 500, 1973 Mercury Marquis, 1976 For Elite, 1986 Mercury Sable...and haven't owned one since. When they fire Jim Farley, I will once again buy a Ford!
They need to go back to whatever they were doing 06-11. Which was mostly making better looking Mazda's. I still see tons of fusions/milans/Z's on the road looking good.
Are all these models targeting the North American market? If so, Ford is doing an about face from a few years ago when they all but killed most cars in their lineup in favor of SUVs.
Are any of these going to be in America, and hasn’t for learned from the F150 Lightning?
What is stunning is there very recent recall of 668,000 transmissions! lol
that taurus looks like a rebadged fusion.
I am a Cadillac man, currently owning a Platinum CT6, but I'd like to check out their new Lincolns!
They should have brought back the town car
you know what i want, an small pickup truck, like the first and second gen Ranger, compact, strong, affordable truck, regular cab or extended cab with a decent bed to get the work done. i hope they do that with the Ranchero.
Farley...we want the Crown Victoria back. Full size, frame on chassis, rear wheel drive, comfortable, and supremely reliable. Police miss it too.
Bring back the Ford Windstar Minivan
I was excited at first by the announcement, but then they just add stuff I don't need or want. It's like they're serving a master and not the customers.
That’s a lot of Corporations sadly they just want to see a big green number.
I just want an affordable work truck with AC and 4 wheel drive. I still like a manual transmission too.
Bring back the Crown Vic rear drive, with a 5.0 under the hood..
Leadership is lost….
Will the Taurus have an SHO model?
That would be nice 👍🏾
I hope it would have the 3.0 from the explorer
Where exactly did he announce those 5 models? Post a link. Prove it
Finally some more EV‘s! That’s great news 😊
Make a Focus ZX3 Hybrid.
Ford - Number #1 in recalls!
Stop releasing EV's and go big with hybrids!
The Toe Coma and the Glad he ate her, what a ride.
What about the ford pinto ?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Was a very great car for it's time. As safe or safer than anything else in it's class. I had two of them, and wish I could get one today.
NO EV's! How much to replace the battery!!!!!
I've been a Ford guy my whole life. None of these models as shown would make me want to buy one. Make the Bronco pickup a 2 door with a usable bed make the Ranchero a 2 door based off the Mustang and then maybe you'd have my attention.
Bring back the color of yellow in the truck line
I thought they got rid of cars to focus on pickup trucks.
The only two priorities I have for a car is reliability and affordability. Everything else is of lesser concerns. Most makes such as Ford can't do that anymore.
Is his brother Chris Farley?
That's his cousin, no joke.
@@burtlewand5915 They do look similar
,CHRIS FARLEY WAS JIM'S COUSIN, LOOK IT UP.
I only count 2 car models.
Lincoln Continental, and Taurus.
The other 3 are trucks.
I really hope the Ranchero is more car than crossover because then they’ll be competing with their own Maverick
What exactly does “competitive “ mean I wonder?
Oh, I wasn’t even slightly stunned either.
Why build a Bronco pickup. Take a hint from how well the Gladiator is doing for Jeep.
Two door Ranchero would be nice
I believe it when I see it all the pictures you showed of the Lincoln Continental were the old model not buying it. I don’t believe they’re gonna bring back Taurus Continental and I don’t believe they’re gonna be doing any more EV’s with the disaster of the EV market crashing Because I’m not able to take cold weather or not being able to take hot weather.
Who cares ?? Whats it matter if you can't afford to buy it ??? My Dad had a AAA credit score and had been buying from our local dealer for years and he could Not even afford to buy the then New 2016 Taurus !!!! Thats when a Man who Had been a Ford guy most of his Life went to KIA ........ NO REGRETS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When you write that you can't afford something, you're telling people, you're poor.
@@AZGT350 Your Absolutely right , Thats why I drive a 2021 K5 and Own 2 House's .................LMFAO !!!!!

😅no kidding ......I'm like "what" 😂
06-11 the reliability off the charts.
Yuo are for sure woke, rainbow pronoun
Maybe?
With Stellantis basically saying goodbye to the US market soon I really want to like Ford but I’ve been screwed by Ford multiple times on warranty and service.
I thought Ford was only building trucks and Mustangs. Did Ford change direction?
Just bring back the crown Vitoria
Greetings from oakville Ontario Canada home of the ford plant opened up in 1953 thanks to the presentation I dont support the BIG 3 😢
Ford needs more pickup truck models like I need a giant hole in my head. It looks to me like the Bronco pickup will just eat right into the Maverick's sales. Spending billions of dollars on a Maverick EV is just throwing away billions in corporate revenue. Hasn't Ford learned it's lesson that EV's are rusting away on their dealer lots already? You cannot give the F150 Lightening away free anymore and Ford has lost millions and millions of dollars on a worthless, over-priced vehicle. They kept flashing images of a true, iconic Ranchero, yet showing yet another pickup truck with the Ranchero name. Along with Ford Taurus, why doesn't Ford return what was selling?........A family-sized, true 6-passenger, Crown Victoria with RWD V8? That Continental will not compete with Cadillac CT6. Because the CT6 is only sold in Communist China, GM's new home base. Lincoln really needs the Town Car back since Cadillac has no large, full-sized model here to compete with a Town Car. We definitely do not need 5 more pickup models. Geeeesh.
Fords challenge will be QUALITY JOB ONE😂!
True for many years, they have now lost their way. Toyota is now starting down that same road.
bringing back the name won't bring back the glory of what the cars use to be without all the bs "modernization". Bronco will never be the same, as Rancharo, Lincoln. We have a Taurus and love. Modern tech does not mean it is better. Again, Thanks Joe
Ford is a global company so why talk only about the US models? By-the-way, the 'Taurus' is actually called the 'Capri' in many markets.
DOT laws say 4 lights on front of vehicle ssooo illegal to drive!!! still will not do a heavyier truck for work a half ton is to light for work and more reliable
The only bright ideas here is bringing the Taurus and Continental back. Don’t need the Bronco pickup as the Jeep Gladiators are sitting on the Jeep car lots. You already have the Maverick to compete with the Santa Cruz. Maverick may do ok as an EV compared to the disaster that the F150 Lightning has become. Ford also has to go back to Quality is Job1!
all models shown have foreign plates. Prob not coming to the USA
No one wants EVS Ford is making a mistake. The Lincoln Continental needs to be elevated literally and asteticlly ... It looks like a Toyota .💯🧐
The tail lights look like a Dodge!
Every car manufacturer has to pay homage to the Great Climate Change -God- hoax. They have no choice.
Cut back on the SUVs and EVs!! Bring back a good CAR!!
Are they ELECTRIC???? if they are then Ford is toast. I mean...Bronco??? Taurus??? cripes
Bring back the crown Vic! RWD with a V8! That’s what ford needs to do
Another site full of click bait and Chinese crap.
Bring back the Edge. I don’t know why you took away a SUV
Thunderbird
Is Jim Farley Chris Farley's brother? He looks and sounds a lot like him, and I'm pretty sure Chris had brothers. Anyone know? Edit: I googled him and he is Chris's cousin. So that's cool.
I got rid of my 2020 Escape. Pieces of the vehicle kept falling off. Ford refused to buy it back. They lost a life long customer
Had you done your research before buying you would had found out it was not worth buying in the first place.
A new Ranchero with a trunk-sized bed 🙄
Bring back the Beauty, Luxury, Refinement, Hidden Headlights, Chrome Lincoln Frontend Grills like the Mark Series 3, 4, 5, & 6’s offer all the available optionals possible on the Lincoln’s, and have 2 or 3 styles of Lincoln’s hurry, I am getting older, and I want to enjoy these Lincoln Continental’s ❤❤❤love ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤love ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤love you ❤❤❤❤🩷💜♥️💙🩵💚🍀❤️💛🩵❤️🩵💜🩷💙💚🩵🩷❤️💛💜💜💜💜💜💜💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💜💙💙💙💙🩷🩷🍀🍀❤️❤️♥️♥️❤️🩵🩵🩵💚💙🩷🩷💛💚💙💜❤️♥️🩷💜💙🩵💚
So why doesn’t Europe get a new Mondeo, like the Chinese one. That’s a decent looking car🤔. Also ‘consumer preferences’ really! They ditched the Fiesta in Europe, their best selling model. They didn’t listen to their customers, many thousands still wanted to buy another generation of Fiesta, not everyone needs a BIG car☹️
Trucks... good reasonable priced trucks...that were tough as hell!
yeah but has this even been confirmed?
I will never buy an EV.
I would only buy one that does not require a big heavy expensive battery pack. The technology to produce such a car has been suppressed for decades. The inventors were threaten and later died mysteriously.
Ford needs to return to affordable cars. Cut back on Lincoln suv building, bring out a halo hypercar and push forward on great differential designs.
Ford's already got three trucks. Ranchero is a waste. Excited for the Taurus return, especially in a hybrid version. But the maverick lightning is a waste. Focus on making the current maverick and ranger able to be AWD and have a hybrid engine. The lincoln continental will also be a nice return. I do think ford should make the taurus into more of a coupe SUV body like the Chinese ford Evos. It's a very sharp look.
Renude?
I've always loved fords, but holy crap I hate everything they have released recently. I'm surprised the new Capri didn't get a mention here. It looks equally terrible.
Ford last quality truck around 1975, last quality car was 1972.
I'll keep my 84 Thunderbird. 17,000 miles. I won't be buying one of these.
"New taurus...likely to appeal to loyal fans of the model"
Ill stop you right there. The Taurus died in 2005 when Ford moved to their trash idea of naming all models under a word that started with "F". From there, the Taurus became the five hundred and the Taurus X came from the freestyle, both cars which basically flopped. They went from a mid size car to a full size car and basically ended the model nameplate. The Fusion took over in sales since that is what replaced 4th generation Taurus. There are many hundreds of thousands of those compared to the bulky full size Taurus that really didnt appeal to any "loyal consumers." 2019 officially killed the Taurus and to have a model discontinued for over 5 years, their statement of "appealing to loyal consumers" in it's "revival" is a dramatic overstatement.
I have $50k. Show me what's worth it!
My opinion is....... FLOP FLOP FLOP FLOP AND FLOP...............
How in the name of GOD did this Jim FARTley guy become CEO of Ford. I just can NOT comprehend or understand this!
Who was he before? I only just started his name recently
You have to be crazy to buy a EV vehicle! Coal powered or gas powered! Have you seen the price of electricity lately?
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo we get saddled with the Taurus again but not a four door Falcon built on the Mustang architecture. And despite it selling like crazy all around the world, still no everest. Pass
FORD NEW JUNK
Please bring back the excursion so I can buy my wife one instead of a 1 ton truck for her
