So this is my theory on the song. Some people think it's Iron Maiden's last album which could be true but this is my theory on the song. So the video is talking about the end of time. The first verse and pre chorus which is here: " "Across a painted desert lies a train of vagabonds All that's left of what we were it's what we have become Once our empires glorious, but now the empire's gone The dead gave us the time to live and now our time is done Now we are victorious, we've become our slaves A land of hope and glory building graveyards for the brave" Basically the superpowers of the world or "empires" are thriving and all until it fails and we become our own slaves. The 2nd verse and pre-chorus: "Holding onto fury is that all we ever know Ignorance our judge and jury all we've got to show From Hollywood to Babylon, holy war to kingdom come On a trail of dust and ashes when the burning sky is done A tide of change is coming and that is what you fear The earthquake is a-coming, but you don't want to hear You're just too blind to see" We the people have too much ignorance and anger, we judge other people's opinions and thoughts and we think they're wrong and we bash and hate them for the way they are thinking and we attack each other dividing us and this is happening across the world. We hate each other that we are too blind to see what's going to happen bc sources like the internet and media lie to us and give us false information and people are brainwashed into that so that we all fall as one.
The Scythe isn't from the Album you think. It's the Scythe from Dance of Death. If you look, it's missing the grip that Fear to Eternities Scythe has. It's also straighter than said Fear to Eternities Scythe.
The plane at 0.53 is not from „Flight 666“ but from the BoS-Tour, since it is the album cover Eddie on the tail of the plane and you can even read „… SOULS WORLD TOUR“ next to the plane‘s windows. The „Flight 666“ Boeing had a Mummy-Eddie on the tail. Furthermore, I believe one of the riders is not from „From Fear To Eternity“ but from „Dance of Death“ since all the Eddies are from studio albums. But that is less obvious.
3:29 in the original video - The Trooper flag (with the bajonette thing) on the lower right? :) 5:27 in the original video - "War, death, famine, plague". Bruce once said (which is on Wikipedia) "We write songs about death, resurrection, war, famine, plauge, but it makes everybody happy", and this scene is right after both characters resurrects. :) Long shot? Also. On the same slide as the No prayer for the dying reference the tombstones on the right are also taken from the booklet of NPFTD.
I THINK, the woman sitting in front of the mirror at 1:20 was on the cover of a single that was only released in Europe (maybe even only in the Uk) and there is a card with (possibly) one of the characters on the "Dance of death" CD cover or inside of it, like a Grim Reaper looking thing. The hand reaching out for her, may be Eddie of that time. Which would have been a young Eddie of the first albumn, I THINK. The woman is most likely "Charlotte the Harlot" getting ready in her mirror for a "night out" plying her trade. That is MY take on that.
@@katiepaine Yes, I believe the reference in the video is a comparison to Adam and Eve. However, the apple imagery represents "knowledge" (like Adam and Eve's knowledge of good and evil when they ate the forbidden fruit). This imagery is repeated on the Seventh Son album art...if you look closely, there is an apple in Eddie's rib cage. With songs like The Clairvoyant and The Prophecy, I think the apple also represents the concept of "knowledge" with that album. But, maybe not...just my opinion.
Anyone else think the start of this song is the ending of "If Eternity should fail" listen around 7.15mins of the ending and see if you think it's similar 🤘👊
There are also references to the Iron Maiden game, now part of the band imagery, as in Eddie's Sacrifice and Samurai Eddie himself, very similar to the game version, despite his origin from Sun and Steel Beer
The "glowing" couple at the end is a direct refrence to the Heinlein novel "Stranger in a Strange Land," from which the title of the Iron Maiden song derives.
The four horsemen are Death, War, Plague and Famine, but the numbers on the tanks read 13, 16, 26 and 12. So what's up with that? They've had 13 live albums and 16 studio albums but where does the 26 and 12 come from?

Ignorance our judge and jury all we've got to show
From Hollywood to Babylon, holy war to kingdom come
On a trail of dust and ashes when the burning sky is done
A tide of change is coming and that is what you fear
The earthquake is a-coming, but you don't want to hear
You're just too blind to see"
We the people have too much ignorance and anger, we judge other people's opinions and thoughts and we think they're wrong and we bash and hate them for the way they are thinking and we attack each other dividing us and this is happening across the world. We hate each other that we are too blind to see what's going to happen bc sources like the internet and media lie to us and give us false information and people are brainwashed into that so that we all fall as one.
The background art behind the aces high storefront is from seventh son
Above the No. 1 on the pub is the Fear of the Dark tree and moon in the window at :48 seconds
How on Earth did you spot that?
I can't wait for the new album😆
All the bikes have their own individual tally marks. Just all round awesome from maiden
lets hope for a concept album. the best way to close (maybe) yhe chapter of the best metal band of all time
The Scythe isn't from the Album you think.
But that is less obvious.
great! thanks! Up the Iron !
this green toned sky reminds me of "The Number of The Beast" artwork
The powerslave Eddie has flies coming out of his mouth.. Is he Lord of the flies ?
No. They are locusts, as in one of the plagues of Egypt. Powerslave Eddie is portrayed as an Egyptian Pharaoh.
Awesome. Thankyou
3:29 in the original video - The Trooper flag (with the bajonette thing) on the lower right? :)
5:27 in the original video - "War, death, famine, plague".
What does the apple at the end represent? Temptation, evil, lunch ? Am I trying to see something that isn't really significant ?
Serious question.
1) the goat man = the devil, which is destroyed by samurai Eddie (stops the thoughts about Iron Maiden being satanic)
Don't know why but the shredded and waving flag eerily reminded me of The Trooper.
There needs to be an animated show of all the lore of Iron Maiden with the same art style as the video
Wow iron maiden references in an iron maiden video TOTAL MIND BLOW 🤔
Lol Sooty glove puppet among the beer cans!!
We now know that the main Samurai Eddie in the video is taken from the new album 'Senjutso'. Can't wait to hear it!
Damn that was hard.. With so many. I did noticed a few but not all.
No eggs from Seventh Son? What I consider their most refined and 'subjectively 'best' album!
I think the apple near the end is from Seventh Son
@@deanmorgan5222 Hm, isn't the apple from the Adam & Eve thing? I'm not sure what an apple has to do with 7th son?
@@katiepaine Yes, I believe the reference in the video is a comparison to Adam and Eve. However, the apple imagery represents "knowledge" (like Adam and Eve's knowledge of good and evil when they ate the forbidden fruit). This imagery is repeated on the Seventh Son album art...if you look closely, there is an apple in Eddie's rib cage. With songs like The Clairvoyant and The Prophecy, I think the apple also represents the concept of "knowledge" with that album. But, maybe not...just my opinion.
@@deanmorgan5222 hm ok, yeah i guess it is, thanks :)
You can also see the fridge with the word "Life" that appears in the Can I Play With Madness video clip
The "glowing" couple at the end is a direct refrence to the Heinlein novel "Stranger in a Strange Land," from which the title of the Iron Maiden song derives.
And that book is a direct reference to the bible
The four horsemen are Death, War, Plague and Famine, but the numbers on the tanks read 13, 16, 26 and 12. So what's up with that? They've had 13 live albums and 16 studio albums but where does the 26 and 12 come from?
