In the Doom series DoomGuy (before he became a night sentinel), his earth was destroyed, making him the last human ever as his family and his pet rabbit were brutallly murder. No. he does not "infuse" weapons. the only reason some came to believe this is because they misinterpreted a brief interaction in the UAC atlantica gameplay stream with Hugo Martin and Josh Boyle at timestamp 2:42:40. a guy in the chat asks if the doom slayer can store the quad damage powerup and activate it on command to aid himself in killing harder enemies. but for some reason Josh discards the original question and makes a totally incorrect summary as follows: "so the question is: is he absorbing strength from fallen enemies?" which leads to Hugo ONLY confirming what was stated in doom '16. "that was in the fiction in 2016; yeah i think he does" therefore the original question which was asked wasn't even the one which was answered. anyways, theoretically even if the slayer DID have the ability of storing quad damage, the damage amplification would only be by a magnitude of 4.
secondly, the slayer's actual body is weaker than the suit. we know this because the doom slayer is covered in scars at the start of doom '16 and he littered mars with his blood, samples of this blood were retrieved from the site and studied by the ARC. Also, the doom 2016 siphon grenade is designed specifically to heal the doom slayer's wounds by sucking energy from foes from a distance, rather than the slayer needing to get up close to a combat target to do so.
Some of that seems a bit inaccurate. The slayers blood is from his first romp...pre God infusion. Also Id be hard pressed to find any statements or lore to back it (pretty sure it exists though...) but doom slayer does infuse his weapons. Otherwise standard uac weaponary wouldn't do much agianst demons.
the thing is, even though the suit blocks his agility, he doesn't need to be agile. because why would you need to be agile, If you're faster than any enemy can even process. Doom Slayer is just Him.
I still love the detail that the doom slayer doesn't respond to the Dark Lord's request until AFTER he's struck the final blow. His "No" is made even more powerful because he said it after he "struck his creator down" The Doom Slayer is a man of his word, literally, singular word.

I hate to be that guy but I wouldn't take this statement seriously regarding the new games and new lore. It's true regarding when Romero worked on the games, but he doesn't work on the games anymore and doesn't gave much input on new lore but it'd possible Id Software could still honor that.
According to the Comics, his real name is Flynn Taggart, in DOOM Eternal if you go to his computer monitor it says on there Flynn Taggart as well confirming his name from the 1995 book and comics.
Regarding Samuel / Samur reveal in Eternal, from what I understand Samuel was still a brilliant man who cheated death, it's just that the Seraphim transferred his consciousness into a human body that being from the Hayden family, and he still lived as a human and still got cancer but he still cheated death. I'm not sure when Samuel started to remember he was the Seraphim but I'd imagine it was probably when he learned he could transfer his consciousness into a robotic body.
For me I think Samuel regained his consciousness after stealing The crucible from the Slayer. Or he could have been Samur the whole time. But I still don't get why he was helping humanity getting argent energy since he's not loyal to the Maykrs.

I didn't expect from the Fortnite silly channel a tale of epicness across the stars, you have a very literature-like speech and describe things like an actual legend or a myth, i really loved this lore video. 27:16 I knew Davoth was actually the OG creator, but for some reason for a long time I couldn't find any confirmation even though to me it seemed obvious from how the game explained it, yet so many places still considered "vega"/"father" as the original creator.
TAG2 lore states that Davoth was the real original creator, TAG1 lore was designed to mislead you, The Father betrayed Davoth as he felt he was going too far and after he basically rewrote history to say he was the creator and that instead Davoth was his most loved creation. When in reality Davoth was the real creator. It's why Davoth says to the Slayer "they lied to you Slayer".

Man I remember playing the original Doom for hours and hours when it first came out...my mom was an accountant that worked for huge corporations so she had been using and working with computers since they ran off of punch cards! Because she needed it for work and stuff, my mom was a very, very early adopter of home computers, and because the company was paying for it, she had a really really sweet top of the line system. I don't remember what the details are cuz I wasn't that interested you know I was pretty young, but we had a much, much better computer than the average user or even enthusiast, so all my friends came over and even people from school I didn't even know because they wanted to get in on some slaying and f*** some demons up! This is literally the only time in my entire childhood I was cool and popular at school, I was for like a couple months maybe, but Doom is fucking awesome! I played a couple of the sequels too and I didn't know any of this stuff! Fantastic research! This is really cool; I've always figured Doom had lore and stuff that went deeper but I never really got to look into it thank you
I like how many general things are a little similar to half-life lore. A here being put into stasis. A one man army coming to fight an enemy bigger than him. Awesome
Lore wise, the suit is just an outfit to make him cool, his skin is the suit. And the weapons you use are just for the game. He can deadass kill basically anything he wanted with his bare fists

Of anything that could be said, shut up or just die he simply decided to deny him his ego trip. the biggest middle finger he could give him! To the slayer, killing god is something that happened. It's not the crowning acheivment of his life, an absolute goal or event a momentous occasion, he just killed a guy that pissed him off. And remember that all this is for his pet bunny, Daisy.

I feel like that last “No.” is a lot more significant than a lot of people realize. It’s actually a perfect reply that encapsulates the Slayer’s entire journey. He’s not there for the glory of killing god, he’s there because he’s pissed and he’s going to destroy anything that he feels is responsible, god or not. To the slayer, Davoth isn’t a god, he’s just the final obstacle.
One of my theories for the slayer removing the sleeves from his armor is that he no longer needed that extra protection because hes described to get stronger every demon he kills. Meaning his body could take the damage now which is pretty badass
Preator armor is looking like final version of HEV suit, like HEV gets energy from charging stations only, or small bateries around, but Preator Suit gets energy by sucking Argent energy not only from local bateries around, but by slaying demons themselves too, so enemies is also walking energy tanks

One of my theories for the slayer removing the sleeves from his armor is that he no longer needed that extra protection because hes described to get stronger every demon he kills. Meaning his body could take the damage now which is pretty badass
