So i understood everything up to when the doom slayer killed the father or the creator or whatever his name was called and was sealed by the makers in a sarcophagus.
The slayer was imbued with davoth's energy using the divinity machine and as the slayer killed davoth his energy also died with him and the slayer was knocked out because his energy died with davoth's and the makers sealed him in a sarcophagus so that he can rest and once he is needed again they will set him free once more or something like that😅 (Also if you see some bad gramar that's because English isn't my first language)

Honestly, I've always liked the original story the best: regular marine, sent to phobos, hears all his buddies getting fragged by demons inside the base while he is alone securing the perimeter. Soon it's apparent he is the only one left, but all he's got is a pistol. The only way out is through, and all best weapons are inside. Here we go... Its a more relatable story to an average person. You can believe you are the character you are playing inside that story. Everything else, though awesome, just seems like a drawn out money maker in comparison. It has become a fantasy series.

Between the choice to have all gameplay footage highly zoomed in, as well as the confusing experience of _both_ rewriting lore text whilst showing the original text onscreen, I was surprised to see this channel has 1.51m subscribers...
The lore really brings meaning to the anger behind everything doomguy does. It makes his actions look normal like every reasonable human being would act this way if demons suddenly started eating up the entire world.

Kinda sad how he was removed from the knight sentinels. Those are some cool guys with cool tech and epic settings. Like the empyrian map in 2016's multiplayer
Am I the only one who thinks that there is an obvious change in writers between Doom 2016 and Eternal? There is just so many plot holes and things that just don't make sense between the two games. For example, Samuel Haydem would have NEVER commanded that we saccrafice VEGA in 2016 if he was the Saraphim and knew what VEGA "really was". The slayer also just backed up VEGA onto a thumb drive.... he backed up effectively God (or one of them) onto a thumb drive? Hayden didn't even tell him to do it or expect that he could. Then Hayden would never have lead the effort to get argent energy if he was who he was, let alone stolen the crucible and sent away doom guy at the end of the game. It just doesn't make sense. It's obvious that different writers took over.... in my opinion, to the detriment of the story as a whole.
Doom marine was transferred to an alternate universe after leaving hell after doom 64. There history repeated itself, uac experimenting on Mars, except now with a maykr manipulator, Hayden.
It seems that the Demons and Doom got implicated and instigated against each other by another malicious entity to perpetuate the conflict, but they should have just been nice to Doom and he or she should have said hi and petted the demons or offered them a treat when going into the demons home, and they should have cooperated to resolve the problems, but they have assumed that they are enemies and made an arse out of themselves. Great game of course
I mean we're sorta left to assume he 'died' when he killed the dark lord at the end of The Ancient Gods 2, cause the last cutscene is him being sealed in a tomb. Personally there might be further story, and it's never really clear whether he died or just entered a state of hibernation.
ngl i started in doom eternal and only understood a bit of the story it was more the gameplay that got me but now watching this... it all still makes no sense to me xD
So he fought demons on mars, went to earth, killed demons then onto hell to kill demons. Leaves, kills more demons in space, goes back to hell to kill even more demons, gets transported BACK TO EARTH by the demon leaders but goes straight back😂. Those demons were struggling😂😂😂

Because they contain 99% of the actual lore. The first few games were just fun shooters, they started adding more actual lore later on.
