    You can't really know the real performance if you just played in easy mode I mean from dififculty 6 to helldivers your GPU would not be using 95% It would bottleneck when you see 100 bugs trying to kill you + explosions and other people fighting for there lives.

      Yeah, that's how you instantly spot that these videos are mostly garbage. I've yet to see one showcasing on a eradication mission (tho the worst performance is on big maps with many guards around and many drops pulled).

    Hey Beefy, I've got a rather lengthy question for you. Have you dabbled in optimizing Windows 11 on your own to extract the highest performance possible? I've been experimenting with ReviOS, which is supposed to remove unnecessary apps, services, and disable needless features, but I have some reservations about whether it might install something additional that could be harmful. I use my PC not just for gaming and testing but also for work.
    I'm interested because I also record short videos for RUclips showcasing the performance of 7950X3D + RTX 4090 in various games, and I want to maximize what I can get out of this setup. The performance difference between a clean Win 11 installation and ReviOS is noticeable, even on such hardware, as you well know.
    Testing in Elden Ring at a specific location around a round table, with a clean Win11 installation after installing chipset drivers and GPU OC, I get about 300-310fps. After installing ReviOS, performance immediately jumped to 350-360fps in the exact same spot with the same settings. Ultimately, by moving ALL system processes to Frequency cores (16-31) through Process Lasso and leaving only the game by default, performance increases to 380-390fps.
    I also tested other competitive games like Fortnite/Valorant/Warzone. In Valorant, the difference wasn't big, about 30-50fps. But in Fortnite, looking at the sky on clean Win11, I get about 1250-1300fps, while on ReviOS, it can peak over 1550-1620 fps. Similarly, with COD in the Benchmark, I get about 60-70 better fps average and low on ReviOS. It also improves 1% and 0.1% low fps in each game. The alignment for all games is to cache cores (0-15).
    Personally, on a clean Win 11, I've also tried disabling various services and options from Defender like Core Isolation, etc. Performance at most increased from 300-310fps to 330-340fps (Elden Ring), so there's still a bit missing to reach the performance with ReviOS. I suspect that some changes might be needed in the registry regarding telemetry and diagnostics, but if you're more familiar with this topic, I'd greatly appreciate any help, instructions, or advice. I know you like tinkering with PCs and optimizing them, so perhaps you can give me some tips 😁
    The only thing is, I saw that Revi's website lists the changes, so theoretically, one could follow it and disable things one by one, but that would take ages 😅

    • @Beefy-Tech
      @Beefy-Tech  4 месяца назад +1

      Hello! They do actually do a lot of registry changes, and yes, if you were to do it one by one by following the list on the website it'd take over an hour or so to do all the changes yourself Vs 5 minutes to install revi.
      I think you've got your pc setup perfectly, and if you have no issues with Revi I wouldn't bother to try min max by individually making all the changes cause it's a huge hassle, and you want to enjoy your fancy parts rather than troubleshooting issues on the fancy parts🤣

    • @BenchmarkingTom
      @BenchmarkingTom 4 месяца назад

      @@Beefy-Tech Thanks for the response. I was still testing this and noticed that the Core Isolation option in Defender also makes a big difference. I tested it by turning it off on a clean W11, which added to my performance, and similarly, I tested turning it on in Revi, observing a drop in performance on Revi (since in Revi, Defender and this feature are turned off by default). I'll keep looking into this, but as you say, not to overdo it, because this hardware is for us, not us for the hardware 😂

    Game is NOT optimized on different planets and biomes, especially those with weather-heavy effects (Troonst, Meridia, etc). I've seen those with similar systems fall below 144 FPS on 1440p with native scaling. The devs didn't optimize their game, you just happen to have the strongest PC parts that money can buy.

  • @ZWortek
    @ZWortek 4 месяца назад

    Definitely try some other planets and playing with other people in a mission. The game is not well optimized and is fairly inconsistent in how it utilizes the GPU and CPU.

  • @h4xorzist
    @h4xorzist 3 месяца назад

    Hate to break it to you but perma hogging 60-90% of all pc resources without even an option to turn off shadows CANNOT be considered well optimized.
    The cpu power this game gobbles is highly out of line. An example for this would be drg which does never use anywhere near the resources this game consumes idling in the SE Destroyer. Is drg far less graphically demanding? Arguably yes and no. In general yes but in case of cpu load it should be extremely similar aside from some ridiculous graphics options.
    If helldivers 2 had actual settings that mean anything, you would be able to make a real impact on performance but as of rn only super sampling has any ream noticeable effect on fps when compared to going from ultra to low. This is mostly due to the cpu bottleneck.
    They should also add a benchmark you can run, where they spam bots and orbitals.

  • @gamingbabavoss6545
    @gamingbabavoss6545 5 месяцев назад +2

    only problem with this video is it's useless to do a benchmark on level 1. It's the least intensive, there are no bosses and not much going on. Only real test on fps is when you hit the higher levels where you get swarmed by like 20-50 of them with bosses around and teammates shooting and using orbitals etc. Also you are landed on a small island map on level 1 which is why the FPS will be significantly way higher than it should be

    • @Beefy-Tech
      @Beefy-Tech  5 месяцев назад

      I attempted to try further levels but got my shit slapped. I did see lower fps occasionally in some more intensive situations, but not stutters luckily, just lower averages, but neither did I get too far in the missions to get swarmed by a crazy amount at once.

      @ZWortek 4 месяца назад

      @@Pogkittyy7950X3D + 4080 and mine runs about the same. The actual in game experience during a mission on some planets varies a lot, sometimes the GPU is being fully utilized, other times it says 60-80% but PresentMon GPU busy and frame times appear to match so it's kinda weird. This game also uses a surprising amount of RAM bandwidth 15-20GB/s compared to some other games I play which usually only use like 7-10GB/s since the X3D chips kinda reduce the need/load for fast ram. This game is not well optimized IMO lol, but it's not terrible either I just think there is some work to do enabling higher end hardware to push higher frame rates.

      @@mikrobyo1790 lol i said "could be any combination of you not having good enough specs or something being wrong with your system". you could be having a bottleneck, there could be a driver issue, maybe a conflict or an issue with your hardware, storage being too slow, etc. PC gaming is simply this way and a developer can only account for so many things. clearly not everybody has the same performance as you as with an easy youtube search i can find a benchmark with somebody playing the game with a 3060 with the same specs and getting 60fps at 1440p with no apparent stuttering.
      Crashing is not the same thing as a "performance" issue because it is usually not caused by performance related elements, especially with the crashes in this game.
