His games are by far the best except for the King of Spades.
I think you guys forgot that there's Jack of Hearts trying to mess up everything and kill everybody, so this place is not "secure" at all, unless you really have someone to trust 100%. That's why everybody trying to get out.
Its not secure simply because the rounds happen every hour. You would either die from oversleeping the round or from someone eventually. No sleep

I wonder if the dude that chose to stop participating in the game arrived much later than the other people or it was his first hearts game because it seemed like he still had difficulty accepting the reality of the situation he was in. It still trips me out that he would have most likely made it out had he stuck it out with Chishiya because Chishiya would have had no reason to suspect him of being the Jack of Hearts.
It looks like our Naked Kings team really came to fight for death. From the beginning to the end, they didn't seem to have a strong desire to win. Even the fear of death is barely felt
I wouldnt say that. If that was true they wouldn’t of did the plan to all go for the base to take the lead, all at the cost of sacrificing one of their teammates. They also looked for and found items as well as winning battles. Seems like they wanted to win imo
@@_TYE_ Imo, they gave off a “whatever will be, will be” attitude. In fact, only when they did their strategy did I feel like they actually wanted to win. Still, their overall vibe was “if we win, that’s good; if we lose, so be it”.
I was rooting for the blue dress girl ngl like I think she really had the potential to be a really good villain

I’d disagree with the potential villain thingy. She laid all her cards down too early and was too confident and trusting of a group she just established. She was too aggressive when her footing isn’t really that solid and her hold isn’t that tight. She’s like that side villain who thinks they’re all that when they’re just a side quest. She was fun to watch tho.

@@tlopez4599 I agree, her own team would obviously betray her when they realize how psycho she is, and even if she did succeed in taking out her team, all that would lead to is her having no teammates to tell her what her symbol is. It's actually pretty stupid when you stop and think about it for a while.
It's physically impossible to stay in this game for long. Not even a few days. You cannot sleep since you have to play and get information every hour.

The problem with the Jack of Hearts Game does not allow for the players to sleep thus fatigue also becomes a factor after a day
The problem with assuming whomever you asked would lie to you, is you end up like that girl that didn't trust her own group. Especially if they felt like Lee or Adorkable and didn't want the game to end, they would all be honest. Also, the Jack could be honest just to get you to trust so they could convince you two to betray each other in a case of three remaining.
I read the manga of this game since I heard it played out pretty differently and this series does it so much better. In the original the Jack of Hearts is revealed early on since he's cheating throughout the game instead of playing by the rules. I'm so glad they changed it so the citizens have to play by the same rules to make it a fair game.
Your comment at 49:50 only makes sense because you are the audience. The girl thought that the party was betraying her. She wouldn't be able to know if they were talking behind her back about her. She also figured it was only a matter of time. So when she assumed she was next on the chopping block she thought she would be smart and go ask other people who hadn't killed anyone yet. She figured "they have been honest with each other this whole game. So I think I got a shot." Unfortunately she ended up being wrong but honestly she was on borrowed time anyways. No matter what she would have either survived this round only to get picked off later by her group or be wrong now.

They cant sleep in the Jack of Hearts game, and they have no FOOD for real, they have snacks and stuff, but no actual food for living, and this is like only 2 aspects of why you dont want to be in the prison for a long time.
The food would run out in a week tops as well
you can stay awake for a few days...at least 2 or 3 days so it comes down to resilience. Food can easily be replenished so I don't think that's a problem. Back at the beach they added phones in a crowded beach house with no one noticing. They can definitely add food while they are locked in their cell.
@@gemelwalters2942 I don't believe that food would be replenished, its a face-card Hearts game. Nothing is done for the players' well-being, and its not even good food, is just snacks, cookies and stuff so you don't feel empty in a way, its the same thing as eating just candy for 3 days imo
I dont think the food would be a problem, they have enough food there, I think would be more easy to the people go insane that the food end. In 1 week would be more than enough no one would live like this
Dorkable plan wouldn't have worked because eventually someone would cave and kill themselves also remember the face card games are created by the player of said game so they know certain loop holes to make sure it goes their way
This game manipulates you even as a would-be meta-gamer: Every other hearts game up until that point has trained you NOT to do the one thing that would guarantee surviving this one - showing up to a hearts game with a trusted friend or family member.
I just wanna comment on the "they should be different people by now." because not all of them were transported to this world at the same time. I'm quite positive that some of the participants in the prison game may have only played once or twice while some have probably played more than 10x.
and some people can actually 'WIN' games just by being lucky. For example, in a SPADES game that only lets ONE person come out alive, there could be 3 people remaining in the last few minutes and the TWO STRONGEST somehow ends up killing each other and the weakest person ends up surviving and gets to play another game.
That last part reminds me of when Steven Bradbury won a speed skating gold for Australia - he'd been trailing the other competitors, which gave him enough space to dodge the chaos when one guy slipped and fell right in the final stretch, taking out the other three in the process.
I think the lack of sleep would fuck everybody up. You know sleep deprivation is used as a form of torture?

Arisu isn't really more fucked up than Kyuma for pulling the hand stunt, tbh. Like you alluded to he was entirely forced by Tatta into doing it, and secondly Kyuma and his band actively decided to sacrifice a band member when they rushed down the base.
Similarly it doesn't make any sense if Kyuma is talking about Arisu's affection for Usagi or going on for Tatta's sake, it's rather about his reason to keep going and search for answers. The whole conversation was about Arisu being unsure if he could go on without clear answers for their quest, when he naturally can't get the full truth from anyone but himself.
The episode made it exceedingly clear that it's not about keeping on going for your own sake, it's about making sure you keep going for your own reason. That reason can absolutely be another person, so long as it's what YOU genuinely want and not something forced or manipulated on you.
And yea staying in the prison during the Jack of Hearts game is very silly. You won't get any rest since you have to pick a suit every single hour, and it's highly unlikely you could even stay there safely for a whole day, since there's only 21 players. (Obviously there'd be one or two rounds at first with no deaths like in the show, but once people start dying it is absolutely gonna be faster than one per round lmao) Either everyone dies piece by piece until it's you and the Jack and they kill you, or you either beat the Jack early or somehow coinflip them at the end, both of which would mean you have to leave the prison
Yeah, you gotta add a live action comedy for the trio one day in the future. Would love 30 minutes of just laughing!

I always wondered why so many people kept looking for a redemption from Naragi. People were saying they liked him and welcomed him in the second season, but...he was disgusting. It's like I was watching a different show because Naragi was always garbage.

I loved this game cause of a couple reasons. First one it's a heart game and truthfully everyone could've lived, they just needed to find out who the jack was. Next, a game based on bluffing and trusting someone is so ingenious because the person you trust, 9 times out of 10 the person you trust the most do the most damage. So you really had to ally yourself with someone who wouldn't care if you lived and died. The best trust cause it's no obligations other than I just need you to survive. I loved it.
Not really correct though. If the one you allied with doesn't care if you live or die, anybody else could just implant the idea of you lying to your allies. And then he would try to survive by killing you first. You both would need unconditional trust in the other person to not be swayed by other people.
If any of the main cast play this game together. It would be so fucking easy, cuz they live and die together so many times already. And they know they are not the jack of heart. This game only possible if nobody know each others before hand.
@@nguyendi92 But surviving doesn't do anything. The problem everyone has is that they come up with easy ways to Survive this game. But that doesn't help you beat it. Sure Usagi and Arisu could come into the game and never lie to one another. But how long is that going to last. The Jack is just going to wait out the clock as well. And eventually you are going to get tired and food will eventually run out. Even best friends would realistically start getting nervous once the bodies start dropping. And Arisu and Usagi would just sit in the cell forever. The only way to win would be actively find the Jack.
@@darkshotmaker Exactly. Take out plot armor they turning on each other by round 7. Give me someone who doesn’t have anything to gain if die or live and vice versa and we going find the jack before we gotta turn on each other.
@@darkshotmaker You can outlast everybody else if you trust each other. Everybody else are the one that need to find out who is the Jack. They are the players too. Remember, the Jack is also human, he is also in the game, he do not want to be stuck in this game forever. Impatient and stress make mistakes. We are banking on the Jack making mistakes. If you don't have the fear of dying, you can figure out the Jack easier.
I'd say there's no chance everyone survives this game unless every single player besides the jack had a friend from before the game with them.
These face card games are no joke. They have to deal with anxiety trust issues, sleep deprivation. How can you think clearly hour after hour without sleep and only snacks for meals?

the one thing this game overlooked is sleep. They would have to go without sleep, I've only ever managed that for 2 days but I'm sure ppl have gone for longer. They wouldn't last long though
Even if the last groups were good people (save the Jack) they would still lie to you because they'd think you're the Jack.
36:35 what did you mean by 50/50? You mean not trust either answer and guess the remaining two? That would've killed her as well. Asking three different sources would be better if you don't trust the first.

Staying in prison is difficult you have to report every hour and there's always a risk you get the wrong card. You're facing death every hour on the hour for months? that doesn't sound like a very smooth life. Also you can't sleep for longer than an hour EVER or you die. If someone dies even by accident you'd have to think if someone killed them on purpose or it was an accident. Stay there is extremely unsafe.

Jack of hearts was kinda easy in my point of view, cuz if U guys remember in the first season, in the last episode a girl that was an administrator of the game , said it loud: " I'm the administrator" ( and since she was) she died.
So in my opinion it was just make every person in that place saying out loud: " I'm the Jack of hearts ", if the person don't die, then is not the Jack of hearts, but the one who dies 👀👀 well we already know 😃

it's a little sad how they butchered this game but I get it, it's too long in the manga , full of character interactions to make you doubt since everyone looks suspicious at some point.

@@darkshotmaker true, the mind control and cheating twists were pretty bad but here they got rid of 90% of the contestant in less than 30 minutes of screen time and made quite obvious from the get go which characters are relevant, not to mention adding a mc (chishiya) to the game which adds an obvious extra survivor (and he only won by betting on a 50/50 chance.....which he then does AGAIN in the king of diamonds game, very repetitive)
I don’t understand why you would wanna stay in there. They play the game for an hour straight with no sleep. Sleep deprivation would kill you even if your collar doesn’t . You’re worrying about the food but you’ll barely get time to figure out your suit . You guys can say that on the other side of the screen, but you then realize that this is their reality. You would definitely not want to stay there if you were in the show, trust me .

There is a flaw in this, when they make the groups. Make people say it out loud at the same time. Creates confusion maybe, yes. But it bothers me that no one thought of that, as a fail safe.
So I was also thinking, if you've made it to face card games, how do we still have people committing suicide like the guy in the suspenders and the woman in the first episode. But... As we know people aren't entering at the same time, what if this is the first game this kid ever played in, and he couldn't handle it? How messed up would that be, to just come in with only face cards? 😬
I was thinking about that initially, but then I realized, it is also possible that they have never participated in a Hearts game and survived their time in Borderland by playing other game types. Therefore they were never aware how brutal mentally and emotionally a Hearts Game is.

@@eminiclam I think they really needed the contestants meeting each other outside the courthouse before the game started...there was some good dialogue in the manga.... however, since Chisiya didnt do the Jack of Diamonds game in the live action..they just cut right to it inside from the start. People were confused with the mathematician being all eccentric....but if they introduced him first, it woulda made more sense.
