this fight with the King of Spades is just so brutal you could almost feel it everytime Kuina is getting stabbed,,
Man if I didn't watch the final episode I'd be wondering how on Earth did Kuina survive that
When they were getting shot I was shocked but when kuina got stabbed in the same place like twelve times I felt that💀
THIS is how you make a TRUE FINAL BOSS. This man is the OG, the real King of Spades.
Yea honestly this was the best episode for me. The tension is not nearly as high in the final episode.

Seeing Kuina and Ann get wrecked really messed me up. I had to stop the episode and get myself right.

That massacre really messed me up that I had to rewatch it a few times to confirm if I'm seeing things right. Heiya, Ann, Kuina, Usagi, and Aguni getting taken one by one. I teared up while watching that scene. Still gets me everytime I rewatch it.
Isao Shirabi (K♠) is way more human in the manga.
He buries the bodies, he doesn't want to break any person's cycle of rebirth, and he respects the decency that no one would want to be left to deteriorate in the streets. And he prays for them too.
also he was killing them because he thought that was mercy, so they wouldn't have to continue playing the death games.

Aguni has the same guilt as the King of Spade. Remember Aguni also ki*led more people at the Beach during the Witch game? And ki*led Hatter too? He is just like a King Of Spade. Thats why he knows what it felt like to be like that. Thinking that kil*ing will save them from the game.
Thats why he replied with, "I never blame you...". They are both the same. Thats also why Aguni is the one who ended the king. Not everybody else.

What I love in this show, we have multiple strong females characters and they don't feel forced. All of them work together to bring down King of Spades (who truly feel like a king or final boss)
they do feel forced in this adaptation ... this adaptation doesnt really makes us think theyre strong
this adaptation giving them too much plot armour by changing this battle with king of spades as well ,in the manga its not like this its way better.

Out of everyone watching kuina being helpless while being attacked was heartbreaking because she out of everyone would be fighting to the end and watching her scream and not be able to do anything was heart wrenching

19:23 Dont know if anyone else commented on this but he realized they would be attacking him, a bulletproof vest (which has been shot at & stabbed at so pretty much wear & tear) is useless in close combat, it would do nun but slow him down, which is why he took it off.
I saw that people generally expect the king aka a dude to be the last game, it's an easy to find bias bc theres this idea of man = power, but this series has consistently shown us women being powerful too and that power comes in different shapes. The queen is also a strong card/piece in games - we already had an example with the queen in the tag game, the rules of which reminded us in part of chess, where the king must be protected while the queen is the most powerful piece, so even ignoring Alice in Wonderland and the role the Queen has there, it would make sense for a queen of hearts to be the last game.

They did not go easy on the "deaths" this episode. Shit was BRUTAL!
It's not really a spoiler since they never say it in the serie, but you guys guesses rigth, the king of spade choose to kill every one because he think he give them a quick death, it was his way to save the people traped here (at least in the manga)

Regardless of the players, since only 2 player can enter Queen of Hearts arena, that's why its hard. Although there's only two of them, since queen of hearts is a game of betrayal, chances is once you didnt resist the manipulation of the queen, you die. It'll make sense once you see the game of Mira.

Honestly I wish they explained the king of spades back story a little better. I was left confused and since he palyed a big role in the season, I thought they would embellish a little more. But at least the anime writing helps overcome this, and this also makes a really awesome contrast between the king of spades being rather shrowded and the queen of hearts being super open and inviting. Both are intimidating in their own way.
