    I wonder if you could make something similar with corn meal

      I'm sure you could, but I think you'd also need to add some extra moisture. Maybe some tap water would do the trick?

      My thoughts exactly, I just think it needs more milk.
      Maybe do the polenta mixed with milk and glutinous flour; once it’s cold, mix in the eggs.
      Also, maybe could add some extra flavours like mochi? Some sesame paste for instance…😊

    Can I substitute the rice flour with white flour? Or will it change the end result completly?

      It will completely change the end result. Rice flour is what makes it the chewy mochi consistency. Without it, it would be more like bread/cake? I havent tried it with just flour but now Im interested in how it would turn out! 🤔 hahah

    Idk what i did wrong but the outside was crispy and the inside was practically raw lol. Help!

    • @joshuacooksthendraws
      @joshuacooksthendraws  3 месяца назад +1

      Oh no! It might sound like the oven temp might have been too high? Since it cooked on the outside faster than inside. I would suggest investing in an oven thermometer to see if your oven is actually at 350 Fahrenheit as ovens can be wrong.

      @@joshuacooksthendraws I think my pan was too small now that I think about it ♡ but after a night in the fridge they hardened up and we LOVED them! I'd love to see more mochi recipes :) I'm thinking lemon next time!
