    (23:16) Yep, and the memory card slot is one big advantage Likebook has over Boox. I have a 64 GB memory card in my Mimas, loaded with not only technical books and documents, but also loads of comic PDFs, including offline downloads from reading apps that allow data to be stored onto the memory card (I think Kindle, Kobo, Play Books, and Tachiyomi at least support that).

    This seems like everything I'm after and more. That it's got actual file manager and ability to copy/cut/paste. Awesome. I wish you were able to show what discord and reddit looked like. I hope it's still working well? (How long did it take for your Ares to die?) Hopefully this tablet lasts longer. Excited for their newest model!

      Is it possible to organise the books into collections on the default app? 🤔 An sad to hear this is the previous model of the products, the next one P78 seems like it took away features and the newest one will have the crappier stylus.. but its still the best of the current offerings

      I have ran discord before on my Likebook Mars video I believe, it works just not great lol, might as well use your phone, its going to be a bit better on the Ares. I belive you can group books, might be mistaken, I will check and let you know when I get the chance. When you mean die do you mean battery life? if so I cant remember but should be around a week and half to 2 weeks depending on your wifi and backlight usage.

    Thanks for the review! Do you think it is still a good idea to buy the Likebook Mars? I don't really need the pen at all, so overpaying for it doesn't make sense for me. I did read about your problem with the bootup on Likebook Mars and based on reviews it looks like you are not the only one with this trouble, so I wonder if they fixed this issue in the latest Mars devices...

    • @LifeKommando
      @LifeKommando  3 года назад +1

      Honestly I think Ares model defiantly has worthwhile improvements, specially when it comes to the battery and speed, of course it all comes down to you, both do the same thing and the one thing I miss about the mars is the nice grip on the bezel :)
      As for the fix on the mars I don't know but if you do end up facing the problem, let me know here if they don't get back to you, and I'll let them know.

    • @LifeKommando
      @LifeKommando  3 года назад

    • @pedrosincasa
      @pedrosincasa 3 года назад

      @@LifeKommando Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I was very excited about the Ares because it's affordable, the bad thing is that it's not waterproof and I read that it doesn't get along very well with sand or dust (i'm an archaeologist) plus a not so long-battery (just normal). However, what has discouraged me the most is that in some reviews people said that came with technical failures, of course just a low percentage of people but in my case that discourages me since in I live in Peru and I'm asking my brother to buy it because he's going on tourism for a few days to USA. The change process in case this will fail could be complicated from here. Anyway I still think Ares as a good candidate, although now I'm starting to search more ''expensive'' brands like Onyx. Sorry my English.
