During those two years their OS improved significantly. As I can see they listen to what users need... I personally wish to have at least smallest speaker, so I can enjoy music while reading but you were right, amazing eReader for that low price!
Hi, I plan to buy a "typing machine" and I wonder if e-ink + bluetooth (or wired) keyboard is justified in terms of battery life compared to a normal android tablet. Is Likebook Mars worth bothering - as an android device (excluding video watching of course)? Is it true that battery lasts only 5hrs of "screen time"? Because if so, I don't really see the point of an android b&w tablet - unless I'm missing smth. I understand the e-ink consumes energy only for "page turns", but if typing - the only change is a letter at a time ... just thinking. Could Boyue settings help battery give a full day of typing/emails/android use - or more days - without charging? Thanks for any clarification.
I've never been particular about USB plugs. I just use whatever is laying around and have never had any problems. I think I've mostly been using the one that came with a Fire tablet. It's funny how Amazon will include one with a $50 tablet but not a $300 Kindle Oasis.
Severe grey dots problem on screen? I have this device but is unusable. I have to manually refresh the screen every ten seconds because it fills with gray dots and inhibits me from reading. Which, combined with its maddening slowness, make it a good product only for a fireplace.
Yo, Thanks for the review! 2 questions: 1- Can you crop PDF files manually, and if so, do the pages remain cropped and centered when you turn pages? 2- Does it remember all the particular settings (margins, fonts, etc) for every book you have opened? Thanks!
1- yes it can do exactly what you've mentioned 2- unfirtunately the default reading app does not preserve the settings for each book separately, it rather has global settings for all books. (which is not a big deal to me tbh)
I'm deciding between Likebook Mars and Pocketbook Inkpad 3. I would like to ask about few things: How Likebook handles PDF files? How long battery lasts after charging (when device is only used as a reader) compared to Kindle or Pocketbook? Is it possible to export notes from the deivce on a computer?
Hi i buy a new one through Aliexpress before a few weeks , today the device not charging and giving battery fail to charged. i tryed with many different chareger same problem. any one having idea how to fix ?
My current reader has an option to reflow pdf documents, making them behave like a plain text document. It's a hack but immensely useful, can the Mars do this too?
I tried the Scribd app on the Onyx Boox Note and the fonts look terrible on E Ink. If they just had an E Ink theme it would probably work fine but the current fonts look terrible, too faded and grey.
I use it on the Mars. It's okay, not great, I agree with the OP that it'd be better if they had different fonts and no page turn animation.
Jose Santos, Hi, excuse me I don't speak Portuguese, but I can tell you that Boyue devices are based on Android, I have one Boyue and I can change language to Spanish and / or Portuguese... I hope this comment help you... Regards...
Android seems a bit clunky but it just doesn't do a great job at being an great E-Readers. The good thing is installing multiple ecosystems but they're missing features ..... I really don't want to buy two separate E-Readers.
@@iNathanLite Thanks for your perspective. I have lots of scanned image PDF books (old books out of print) and have been reading them on my laptop and tablet. But I cannot do that for too long. My eyes hurt after a while. I am trying to find a solution to that.

This is what I am waiting for.
Can't wait for the 10.3 inch version coming November 6 ! Boyue Likebook Mimas -T103D
Looks great, but pricey
excelente review, muy detallado
thanks
Thanks for the video! One question though, does it support EPUB DRM?
Focusing on reading books with no wifi and no Bluetooth, how long does the battery last?
looks nice

Are there any dedicated Ebook readers that have direct access to the Google Play Ebook personal library or Google Drive?
Hello. Does it have OTG support? I couldn't find any solution.
Does it support landscape mode for pdf reading?
Nathan, since this ships only with a USB cable, what power brick is best to attach for on-the-road charging via AC outlet?

I still don't understand why Kindle does not make an 8 inch or 10 inch model.
Their options are just too damn small.
This looks great
That’s the only reason I haven’t bought a kindle yet. Seem like great products but it’s too small. This looks like a perfect middle ground size.
Kobo Aura H20 or these?
can you install tachiyomi on this? Or maybe some manga reading app?
yes, I have installed Tachiyomi and it worked fine

Yeah, it has reflow.
What is your current ereader and how were you able to hack it
@@Solastar PDF reflow is a hack and many big brand readers don't do it. Back then I had an Imcosys and now I'm happy with the Mars.

No
Can you install scribd on it?
Yes
Now that I see it I regret getting paperwhite. :(

Sim. O menu inicial de configuração oferece a língua portuguesa nesses leitores.

Who uses PDFs on an ereader. Just use your computer, phone or tablet.
These e-ink readers reduce eye strain.
